very nice lecture mam.....yr way of teaching is very nice......u r doing revolution in the field of education.........would ur channel also teach history............
Red soil is not used in brick making its laterite soil and Alluvial soil lacks nitrogen. I dunno why she's hurrying. Please do correct it because it might affect beginners
.The proportion of nitrogen is generally low. . The proportion of Potash, phosphoric acid and alkalies are adequate .The proportion of Iron oxide and lime vary within a wide range.
Mam I wanted to know the percentage of land under fallow land includes current fallow and fallow area other than current fallow both or anything else also. Because if it has two things than the total percentage is around 9 and not 12.
You said red soil is best drained soil. Also said it has got the very good water holding capacity.... As these two are opposite, I think latter is wrong. Water holding capacity is not good for red soil
Madam i have read in a geography book of khullar that red soils are poor in lime, magnesia, phosphate, and in the video you have said that red soils are rich in the above mentioned elements so please clarify the ambiguity.
The fine-grained red and yellow soils are normally fertile, whereas coarse-grained soils found in dry upland areas are poor in fertility. They are generally poor in nitrogen, phosphorous and humus. copied as it is from ncert . @5:12-there's a mistake regarding red soil
Mam sorry but nahi aap ya koi ias officer ghanta kuchh ukhaad paayenge, mujhe uss time bahut chidhh ho rahi thi jab aap baar ye keh rahi thi ki agar mein hoti to kyu abhi kyu nahi because you also know that you can't tore a single hair of any politicians testis. 😟😟😟😟😟😟😟

🌻Thank you so much🙏🙏
Mam I think there is a confusion... Alluvial soil is devoid of nitrogen. Plz check.
Mam is right
Mam is wrong many a times
***Some issue with Red Soil***
At 5:10 it is said , red soil is rich in *humus*
and at 10:52 , the table says red soil LACKS *humus* ?
It lacks humus.
Red soil also lacks of lime
Red soil is not used in brick making its laterite soil and Alluvial soil lacks nitrogen. I dunno why she's hurrying. Please do correct it because it might affect beginners
It's contradictory in Ncerts itself. 10th ncert says abundant phosphorus but 11th ncert says poor in phosphorus.
Alluvial do not lack nitrogen
बहुत ही शानदार व्याख्यान था👌🤟🙏
Best teacher ever

attempt or not ?
.The proportion of nitrogen is generally low.
. The proportion of Potash, phosphoric acid and alkalies are adequate
.The proportion of Iron oxide and lime vary within a wide range.
This is about alluvial soil na ? because i read this in pmf ias ....... but mam here said just its opposite
Red soil is deficient in humus.
Alluvial soil is deficient in organic matters
Very nice maam you are too good
Isn't the region's practice shifting cultivation could also be categorised fallow land though temporarily ??
in alluvial soil , nitrogen is deficient or present check it and revert
Mam I wanted to know the percentage of land under fallow land includes current fallow and fallow area other than current fallow both or anything else also. Because if it has two things than the total percentage is around 9 and not 12.
From this lecture question came in upsc cse 2020 prelims...net sown area of india is highest that was correct statement
Ma'm regarding red soils, Khullar says- It's poor in lime, N,P & humus.
Please clarify.
I read that Alluvial soil deficient in nitrogen and humus....madam please once clarify it
Yes, alluvial soil lacks in nitrogen content that's why punjab ,haryana uses maximum NPK fertilizers and not just PK.

Increasing gross sown area-good idea mam
How can mountainous soil with low temperature leading to slow bacterial decomposition and even chelation of leaves make humus content high ?
good question
In NCERT, they say humus is low in forest(or mountainous) soil. Maybe datas are old in this video
In NCERT, they say humus is low in forest(or mountainous) soil. Maybe datas are old in this video
Because of low temperature-> slow decomposition therefore more semi-decayed leaves plus coniferous characteristics makes high humus content
You said red soil is best drained soil. Also said it has got the very good water holding capacity.... As these two are opposite, I think latter is wrong. Water holding capacity is not good for red soil
Well drained is true.

Is alluvial soil rich in organic material?? actually I've read somewhere that it is deficient in organic content!
It lacks in organic content when compared to mountainous soil which posses highest organic content.
It's rich in organic components but lack humus
