  • African ( Ghana ) Village Life Revealed | Typical Daily Living in a Ghanaian Village , West Africa
In this video, I take you on a journey to a village in Northern Region, Ghana called Tamale. We experience real village life. We see a village kitchen , bathroom and the typical way of living in a village by people in the Fulani tribe of Ghana. The best part is that we get to interact with the village people. This is all part of my experience and journey back to my roots in Ghana , West Africa.
This video will particularly help africans in the diaspora, other nationalities including African Americans who want to experience life in Ghana, Ghana living and move to Ghana ( Africa ) .

It’s amazing to be reminded that the simplest things in life are the ones worth it. The fact that we have life, and family around us, should be sufficient for us. P.s I was born in the Northern part. But left very young, hopefully one day I can go back. Make me a bit emotional watching it.

The Fulani family that used to herd my grandfather's cattle made powder out of the sweet yellow stuff in the dawadawa pod. You could just eat the powder like that or mix it with fresh cow milk . Everytime I visited the village, that was my favorite breakfast. I fetch my sweet yellow dawadawa powder in a Calabash and then walked about 100 meters to the herdsman's house to get my fresh milk.
    Best morning routine! 😄🙅🏾‍♂️

Thanks for showing the real village set up in the north. You've reminded me of the yellow fruit the kids were eating. We call it Doruwa in hausa, and Duari in Dagomba, you can also take out the the yellow part grind it into powder form and make porridge with it, is very nutritious. You can find it in the Tamale market. The black seed inside is washed and fermented to produce the dawadawa (seasoning) for cooking.

I can live that lifestyle; composing toilet, earth bag home or house built from recycled plastic bricks/ blocks. And well for water. Our grandparents and great grandparents didn’t have plumbing in 1920 and early decades. Most plumbing and sewer lines in the U.S. are under 60 years old and are collapsing or being repaired in certain neighborhoods.

Hi,this is the second video I am watching of you. truly liked your personality and presentation. Village life becomes more beautiful when they have basic necessities like better homes, clean water, primary education, and health care services etc. Kids sleeping in the open air and eating food in the mud are pathetic. When there is rain what will they do. Their lives are not as beautiful as you say.Bring their needs before government .Anyway love from Indian state Kerala.

I come from a rural black American farming community. I did not learn about TVs, fast food, stereos, and smartphones until I attended university. The families showcased in the video lead noble lives because they have not been contaminated by technology. Technology is pervasive. And western values are even more pervasive. Look at the babies enjoying the sweet taste of dawadawa, as opposed to snacking on an artery-clogging serving of McDonald's french fries. The families of this village have something that we in the diaspora long for: Peace.
