Now, I use a character voice and Baloo tells him "oh it's so cold, come on and get snuggly inside so we can go!" Or "vroom vroom, I can't wait to roll, let's get clicked in so I can go go go..."

I had someone I trained on the receiving dock at my work years ago scream at me for training someone in a different department a different way than she did. I went to the manager and said “Am I still getting paid for training him? Because I’m not putting up with that shit. It’s not my fault I haven’t been up here in years and only know the old method.”

A colleague tried to force us to manually backup our data every day... I said i wasn't gonna do it every day cause there was no need and doing it manually was tedious. he got a big grin on his face and ran and told my boss that i wasn't doing as he said.. my boss warned me that i should do as colleague says since its his responsibility to manage it. I sat there and created an automatic script that would backup all our data every day. and got it approved by our lead programmer. who then sent it to my boss. my boss then emailed the department stating to ignore collegues previous emails and that manual backups would no-longer be required since I had created an automated solution.
My colleague was pissed cause within the space of an hour i had taken what little power he had over me away from him with almost no effort.

The one about the guy who let the child get the junk food and candy it really gave me a mixture of happiness for the kid and made me feel like that man was obviously a good man who TRULY cared about those children but also sadness at how that child was probably never able to actually BE a child unless the other parents did those things. Hope he did better with his own children when he became an adult.... I remember kids that grew up in those kind of atmospheres and how sad they were and how completely unprepared for the real world they were.

There was a woman in my apartment building who was the definition of in your face busybody. This lady spam emailed random people in the building for random reasons like leaving their trash out in the hallway to long. She was a member of some bored that made devotions in our community. After making enemys if basically everyone in the building she stood up one day (I kid you not) and yelled “I RESIGN”. The head of the bored just shrugged and said alright we’ll find a replacement. Then she left the community saying her dog needed more room.
Edit: looking back I don’t know how we put up either her for so long.

Not my story, but a anecdotal word of warning in a training course I took.
The instructor of a forklift course told a story about a former student of his who completed the course and got fired his first day.
Evidently he got hired at some company, and strutted in drunk on "power" waving around his training manual. He tried to tell everyone else how to drive forklifts. "I got the book, you have to do what I say!". Of course the supervisor was having approximately none of that and fired him 2 hours into his shift.

I think this counts. A girl I knew in high school that hated me (it was mutual, I can go into detail about her if anyone wants) and I got stuck in a group project, it was just me and her. She tried to boss me around and would whine to the teacher that I didn't do what she told me to do. Meanwhile she was gone for a month and did literally nothing. When I pointed it out to the teacher, she bitched and whined that she had "health conditions, I had a stroke, blah blah blah." I pointed out that if you had a stroke you wouldn't be that coherent after a week. She started crocodile crying and I just rolled my eyes, told the teacher I did the entire project myself since I had no help. Can I go to a different group? The teacher just sighed and let me go to a different group. Dumb B repeated the process with every single group she was in. I don't think she had any friends cause she made life miserable for everyone. She acted like she was a freakin Picasso with her "art" when everyone knew she just traced and colored pictures offline. No originality.. Her mom was in one of my college classes and knew I didn't get along with her daughter. Still was nice to me.

Lol I remember one time when my Autistic butt let some power go to my head. When I was in grade 5, we had head-to-head competitions to see who could shout the correct answer to times tables the fastest, and the teacher would choose one student to be the judge that day. I had a crush on one of the boys in my class, so every time I thought it was close enough between him and the other student to get away with, I judged him the winner, even if I knew he really wasn't. That only lasted one day and I never got given that job again lol. The teacher never called me out on it, but I think she could tell I was a little biased in my judging. Nothing ever came of that crush either, so it was pretty stupid in hindsight lmao

I feel like a coworker thought I was drunk on power once. I was a part time supervisor at a school cafeteria, so most of the time I didn't do crap.
But one day, a former worker, also a PT supervisor, came in drunk with his friends. The managers were elsewhere on campus so I was the "authority" for a few hours. Dude decided to come in without paying, which I didn't accept and called my bosses 3 times to try and get someone with real authority to convince him or find some way to kick him out.
His friend paid for him so I decided to ignore him after that.
Then he came up to me and my friend at the front counter and proceeded to tell every customer that came in to not pay and tried to convince them to just walk past us. It pissed me off, so I just left a page-long note explaining what was going on.
The employee who thought I was going too far wanted me to just pay for him the first time and ignore him after that. He wasn't happy with me when I wrote down what happened so my managers knew about it when they eventually came in.
(They told me to get the campus police to remove him if he pulled the drunk guy pulled it again.)

I have a few. When I was in scouts around 14-15. There was this boy around the same age who had it in his head that he was a scout leader (a position usually held by adults). I very much doubt he was a scout leader and people were just too scared to stand up to him. He'd constantly push everyone around and was just generally abusive. In school he was a laughing stock so I'm guessing this was catharsis for him.

My friends pregnant aunt was put in charge of the kids while all the parents went out to go clam hunting. We were on the beach, and I was old enough that I had taken care of myself on many occasions by myself. The tide was far out and not going to be back for some hours, thus why we were clam hunting. My parents told me I could come out to go clamming or stay back. I stayed back with my friends. She turned into a complete nazi, I couldn’t walk the beach on my own (having adhd I tended to wander). She would scold me harshly for just being a normal 11-12 year old on the beach. I got fed up with it and started marching out to join my family clamming in the surf. She yelled at me that I couldn’t do that, but I ignored her and walked on. When I got to my parents I told them what had happened. My mom told me she was proud of me for holding my ground. They must’ve talked to her because she didn’t make an effort to control me for the rest of the trip.

The receptionist at my secondary school in Ireland. That's high school for American viewers. I had a dentist appointment at 10am. School started at 9am and classes were 40 minutes each. My parents decided it was better to just keep me off school until after the dentist appointment instead of them dropping me off at 9 and coming back at 9:40. All was well and I got to school at 11am. I went to the reception area to sign in and show my documentation that I had been at the dentist. The receptionist starting giving out to me asking why I hadn't come to school before the appointment and saying I could have signed in and out. As I was a kid I made up that my parents couldn't manage it with working and all and she said ''That's no excuse, you could take a taxi''. Then she said ''I am not signing you in. You have to go to the Principal to get signed in''. Side note to this, I probably could have walked to my class without signing in and no one would have noticed or cared but you know as a kid you follow the proper proceedures. Anyway, the Principal was a good man and he overheard all this going on. I walked over to his office and he was already in the doorway listening. I explained I wanted to sign in as I had just come from the dentist. He signed the piece of paper that the receptionist had given me immediately and said ''OK, have a good day'' which is all that bitter old ... had to do.

Once had a girl who started working at a place I’d been at for over a year. She thought she was all that because she had a few years of experience under her belt (most of the people working there did; not sure why she thought that made her special.)
She would be rude to me all the time, act like she was everyone’s boss and generally seemed to think she was somehow in charge of anything despite being one of the *least* senior staff there and having never actually been told she had any authority. Chewed into me and tried to get me fired over some bs on a day when I was already stressed. Probably one of the most entitled people I’ve ever worked with. Her or the woman who would be minimum half an hour late to work every day for no good reason and was always getting reported for leaving work unfinished but had the absolute balls to tell me I was “at the top of the ladder of sucking at my job.”
Funny thing about the first one, though: found out from a friend who still worked there after I left that she was later fired (and probably arrested) because she’d been caught stealing narcotics from the med drawers. They found entire packs of meds and pain patches in her car. Ngl I felt pretty vindicated hearing that after all the shit she gave people.

Thus it had to be in the UK (or at least a place that uses British terms as opposed to American terms), where the Sidewalk (you know because it is the walkway on the side of the road - which makes way more sense) is called the pavement.

My cousin is gay. He now thinks nobody can question him because of cancel culture and he pulls the “it’s bc I’m gay” card for literally everything. Now my family is against that lifestyle so that’s probably why he thinks this gives him power but we love his boyfriend and knew he deserved better than my dong of a cousin so we introduced him to a friend of another cousin and he left my asshole cousin for that guy. Destroyed the original cousin and set up the ex with a good guy. Those two are engaged now.
Ps we didn’t destroy him because he was gay but because he wouldn’t stfu about it and turned it into his personality. We did something horrible to an aunt who became overly judgmental and religious. We are all religious except for like 3 members so for her to get to that point is basically Karen level and we got her nearly kicked out of her church and humiliated. We monitor and deal with our own so society doesn’t have to:

We had a key to remove bollard to get right next to shop.......1 day as I'm delivering a traffic warden walks straight past me Into the shop n tells the manager I can't deliver at this time(9am)
B4 manager could say anything i said that I drive the lorry if he has something to say to direct it towards me....he repeats and I said OK what time am I aloud to unload till and where is the sign stating this.....he says I don't know so I say well how do u know I can't then? He goes off to call his boss n she comes over n we have a chat n I basically say that there is no sign n I always have a banks man so there is no reason I can't and she agrees.....then original warden trys to get in on the action and I tell him I'm talking to the boss and to shut up because n go away as its now got nothing to do with him!!!
Few weeks later a sign pops up with loading times 10-4.....not a problem I'm normally there at 9 another few weeks goes by and the signs changed from 9-4 now and whenever I turn up original warden would be lurking around.......I still do my deliver and when ever he trys to say anything I just laugh at him!!!

As per the clan post, two of my friends and I made a clan called XGN (Exile Gaming Network). We were doing well after about two months and had picked up around 30 people altogether.
Something must have crawled up his ass, got stuck, and died. (Mind you we were all three the leaders of the clan and it ran smoothly, everyone had fun, and no one complained about jack-Sh**)
I was barred by the other two from joining any future meetings, games, or people that were in the clan again. All I did was wake up and I had the message.
With no access to anyone due to being blocked by everyone.

I work for a nursing agency. (I go around to facilities and hospitals that are short staffed). I never minded the front desk people, but since COVID every location I’ve been to has a crazy fucking front desk person who IS the one to single-handedly protect the building from getting COVID. Too many times I’ve gone off on people who are extremely picky with how I get into the building. I am starting to fucking hate the front desk people. No power but all the trip.

@@zorakj I’m not an anti masker. As a nurse it’s officially apart of our uniform now. **I’m realizing I didn’t give any examples, each dash is a different occurrence:
-a receptionist got mad because I used my own pen to sign in (a literal sign in full of COVID related questions). I was supposed to use a fresh one so it could be thrown away.
-not letting me in the building because they don’t recognize me. That’s fine, it’s a protection thing. Im patient. It’s after three of their bosses have to come and physically tell the receptionist “yes he in fact is here to work”
-making a big deal of the fact that I took my temperature by myself (I picked up the thermometer, cleaned it, pointed at my head, then showed them the number (second person verification) then wrote down the number on the sign in sheet. **standard check in at almost all hospitals, TCUs, and geriatric facilities**. But because she didn’t handle the thermometer, she said it’s wrong. I wrote 97.4°. But she got 97.5° so I needed to fix it before she could let me in. I told her I wasn’t doing it, that’s a waste of time, she hit me with, “what do you know, I was trained to take people’s temperatures”. I’m literally not someone to brag, but I could help but look at her sideways and loudly proclaim, “I’m LITERALLY a Register Nurse and introduced myself as such!”
-was told that I needed to wait because she couldn’t believe a man could be a nurse. And was skeptical even after her boss said over the phone, “we hired him to help, let him in now!” Insisted I was bringing in COVID because I was a man and she needed to protect the patients of the TCU from creeps and wanted her boss to come get me herself if I were to come in.
-made a receptionist cry because the director of nursing came to do the sign me in song and dance while the receptionist was away from the table. She insisted that SHE [the receptionist] take my temperature AGAIN and ask the literal 20 questions AGAIN bc SHE didn’t do it. I refused (because I was working with a patient and it was two hours into my shift). She bawled her eyes out and left the patient’s room crying.
-Was made to wait in the cold during a Jan blizzard because she needed me to answer the questions outside (I complied and wasn’t mad). She then got mad because my temp was 95°, was obviously influenced from the freezing cold. But still wouldn’t let me stand in the hallway between doors to warm up to take temp again. I was turned away, so I called my company and they said, “sure go home” then was called back 35 minutes later “where the hell are you?!” And told them about the crazy lady at the front and they said “non of our other staff have to take their temps outside?! Come back!” I came back and she said she was trying to protect the building and she made the exec decision to send me home because she couldn’t get a good read on my temp.
-at a facility I was working at for 6 months already, I started filling out the sign in book labeled for staff. The receptionist told me, “that’s the wrong book, that’s for staff, you want the visitor book”. I wasn’t mad, she just never met me, so I said “I know, I’m a nurse here to work”. She again raised her voice and got snippy with me, “I don’t care If you’re a nurse here to see a resident. You’re not staff I’ll have to ask you to leave because you could bring COVID into the building. I told her “that doesn’t make sense. But I’m here to work as staff. I’m agency, I work here with your staff!” She got really loud this time and called over the DON (Director of nursing) and said “this man is being rebellious and needs to be talked to, because I don’t want to yell any louder, you [the director] need to deal with him!” So I said again “I’m all done, and going to work 👋. The DON said hello to me and let me pass because we met many times before and the receptionst fucking lost her mind and started cursing loudly about “this is why we have COVID in the building. What’s the point of me standing guard (she literally said “standing guard”) if I don’t have any power?!”
These are a few examples that happen many many many receptionists I’ve met. Ppl I met before COVID that didn’t care about my existence or about my coming and going from the building for years before COVID.

Silver springs back when my memories. I'm a huge Star Trek fan and the Facebook group for the fan organization I was a member of had a moderator. Well round the time Discovery came out this woman decided this one person decided to ban any discussions post anything that was not related to Captain Kirk of the original series is William shatner. We're talking nothing outside of the the original series. We're talkin Voyager DS9 next-generation nothing not even all because she did not like the way the franchise was going which was not her place. And if you posted something she would ban you. It ignited a train wreck I dipped out of that and soon left the fan work ization because it became so political aside and hierarchy was so insane like people were literally taking their imaginary ranks and we had a ranking system for some reason and literally demanding payment excetera saluting you name it like they thought it was real authority usually most of us jokingly around it made jokes around in at our own expense. Well this person took it way too far and I don't know what happened but a friend of mine who was another moderator said they had to to remove her from her position because she had overstepped so many bounds like she went not drunk on power she was gassed on power. And before then she was the friendliest person you'd meet.
