What's the best playoff game you've ever been to?
Brady’s 6td game over Tim Tebow and the broncos
Man I fkn wish... I'm stuck in Oz. Best I watched was the Minneapolis Miracle.
Snow Bowl at Foxboro Stadium
Titans @ Ravens 2003
I was at the Patriots very first playoff game in Foxboro on New Year's Eve day 1978. The Houston Oilers with Dan Pastorini and Earl Campbell. I was around 14 and snuck into the game by myself. I was standing on the steps at the wall in the corner of the end zone when Campbell ran in for a 2 yard touchdown. He ran with such ferocity as he hit the line it terrified me. It changed the way that I looked at those plays in the trenches for the rest of my life. Oh, and of course the Pats got smoked in that game. Back then we were just happy to be there though.
Edelnut's quickly making one of the most entertaining Pods...
It was better with Sam as co-host
@@420johonig eh, his liberal NY nonsense he'd throw in was annoying..
Great observation.
Has been.. even with that 'trying way to hard to be funny '
@@slappymcbutterballs7326 if u say so
Julian talking about his grandma and Gary saying “what was her name?” Such a good dude.
This was the best episode of Games With Names without a doubt. The amount of wisdom combined with laughs and the appreciation for the game of Football was just unreal. I like to think of myself as a huge comedy fan but this was the first time I have listened to Gary on anything and i am about to do a deep dive on his body of work after listening to this.
You won't regret it. He'll become one of your favorite comedians, guaranteed.
Gary needs to be a permanent cohost
Love seeing Gary Gilman happy and content.
Good energy.
I’ve got the feels myself.
“Wait what were we talking about?”
“O yeah 85 playoffs!”
This pod has a great fun energy. ❤
whaaaat another one! I love how random this is just keep churning them out I enjoy these. Gary is such an active listener lol. Bro I love the end how you talk about how the episode went too always a good segment. Still think you should get rid of the "score the game" segment
Gary has been my favorite guest by far
Can we also talk about Gary like I'm a Boston guy I live in Boston but Gary is like nobody else from the New England area this guy is so damn nice and genuine it's wild, however I would like to see both Gary and Julian go on the are you garbage podcast
I never sit down and watch a whole podcast, but I've done so with the last 4 of these. These are great! Keep it up!
Is Gary the nicest guy on the planet? Enjoyed his closeness to Boston & knowing his Boston sports. The show is getting better with each listen. And you gotta call the studio the Squirrels Nest.
What an unexpected guest but one of the best comedians of all time🕹️
Gary was the best scorer of any guest.
This is my podcast. That playoff run in ‘85 was so great.
Edelnut is awesome. Can take a game I shouldn't care about and make it a cliffhanger...
I had a Squish the Fish t-shirt, lol. But unfortunately we did not Bury the Bears. I was 12 when this Super Bowl happened. Started off okay, but quickly got out of hand.
great guest. love the podcast. love the talk about the glory days
Need more boxing games with names fights ali v frazier ,foreman v ali tyson v spinls hagler v hearns
I kinda want to hug Gary, good conversation. My two cents, call the studio the Game Cave.
This episode is the the best. Just listening to Gary talk about this game takes me back.
Irving Fryer was also on this team.
As a lifelong pats fan this was an amazing episode. Jules is killing it. Please get Dan soder or Bobby Kelly on! Go pats!
Joe List
Shane Gillis
@@sebastiancondon4142 He was in an episode too but more List. Never enough
Bro what a guest!
Omg
I love Gary so much
What a combo
This episode was a pleasant surprise
The tuck rule game was karma for the Raiders for 1976. It's 1-1 now.
I never thought about that. You’re so right. Great comment 💯
Gary was great in ‘The Joker’
Out of all the football legends that have been on this show who would’ve thought Gary Gulman would be this good of a guest??? Amazing Ep! Lifelong Bills fan, hated Edelman’s guts his whole career but this pod has completely changed that, huge fan keep it up!
Wow Gary! I'm a bit younger but I remember Mike Panos was a North Shore God.
You Guys are Dropping Gems
& on a rapid pace
Tom Poppa is The Man
That was A Great Get
Ol Gary Gulman is an OG
😁
Jules you rock man. Thanks for the memories, you dudes made Patriots football special for guys like me.
This podcast is awesome
Somerville native here!
Finally a good comedian on
Omg, I loved this episode so much❤️🥲🥲😁😁😁😁
Thank you.
The Bears beat the Pats in the Super Bowl 46-10 on Jan. 26, 1986. The Challenger explosion occurred two days later, Jan. 28, 1986.
Get Wilfork on
Both of you guys have amazing t-shirts on this episode. 👍❤🔥
What up Edelnuts?? You hold your own hosting this pod. Good on you homie! Tip top work.
The edleden!
Edelnut has charisma!!❤❤❤❤❤
I love it Champ 🫡
I didn't even really see Patriots games growing up until they went to the Super Bowl because the games were always blacked out.. Pats were definitely #4 amongst the pro teams, they were completely irrelevant, and then became embarrassing after the SB against the Bears. It wasn't until Kraft bought the team, hired Parcells, and drafted Bledsoe that they actually became something worth watching. Boston College football was higher on the food chain in Boston than the Patriots were before that.
I was at the Orange Bowl for that game. Patriots RAN over the Dolphins. It was a shocking result. Took ALL of the air out in Miami. Wind didn't blow for a week in south Florida. Awesome game for the Patriots. Until the Super Bowl....Ouch!
Baseball season, football season, hockey season and baseball season!
Wait
That's great! 😅💋
can we get an episode or a short we're jules goes through the backwall of this podcast??
Stakes: 9.0
Star Power: 6.3
Gameplay: 8.1
Name: 5.4
That was a great season for the Pats until the Bears Super Bowl shuffled all over them. Also, get Stanley Morgan in the Hall.
96 Super Bowl was really the pre-Brady highpoint.
Would love to see Bergeron on the pod talking about game 7 against the leafs in 2013
If you are a real Patriots fan then you would know about the struggle and you would know that we used to be happy to go 2-14 and we would chant for the colts because that was the only team we could beat lol it was so bad we would chant bring back Indy 😅 What's even more impressive tho about Don is him winning with the 14 game seasons for awhile also reminds me of how great OJ was if you just gave him two to three more games like it is nowadays he would legit have like every single rushing record and that's facts
Stanley Morgan who should be in the NFL hall of fame
anyone know what kinda kicks Gary is rocking?
Edelnut has grabbed the attention beetween thus n kelce bros podcast am loving stories let's hear Jason next year now he's retired
Jason hasn't officially retired yet. But they've said they'd do Jules' pod when he was on theirs.
Gronk would say he's more of an H Back! 😂
If Darnell Washington got that Rock more he’d be in the discussion, and brick bowers gonna get the nod next year
Hey, when is Chris Hogan gonna be on the show?
why didn’t they do the 1985 super bowl game
I was driving trying to think of names for the studio and the only one I could come up with was "Hall of Games". Felt real unoriginal when I got to the end of the episode 😂
R.I.P CARL WEATHERS
Squish the fish!!!!
Squash the fish started in Foxboro.we hated miami.
I actually hate Miami more than I hated the Patriots for most of my life and I’m a Jet Fan. But the fact is that ruined what could’ve been one of the all-time greatest Super Bowls ever. Miami actually matched up with that Bears defense
#NutHouse 😂
Bro bring on the goats
Brady
MJ
Marino
SQUISH THE FISH
Studio name: What about "The Squirrel's Retreat"?
The Game Garage
I think you need a wingman. I didn’t like the last guy personally but overall he wasn’t too bad because you could bounce stuff off him and it was entertaining.
Anyone with an Edelman and Gary gulman is in a very obscure Venn diagram. That’s all I had to say
Studio name I would go nice and simple for the studio name get right to the point with it and hit it right on the nose " The Dynasty "(The dynasty studio) or just"Dynasty" (Dynasty studio) not many people can say they are part of a dynasty a very very very very very very select few Julian Edelman is one of them as well as Kyler and Jack now by association. There is also "The Bay Of Digs" (which works in two ways he's from the bay area as well as being one of the kings of the dig route, "Minitron studio" and "LFG studio", "Believe studio", "The comeback kids" "The Icebox"
I didn't know Edelnut played at Kent State
I got a name for your studio
The Squirrels Nest
What’s the feminine version of a hero called?
Shane Gillis When
Studio name: Championship Chat Central
Wrong guy, We want Sam Morril back!
Gary Gulman is a legend in his own right
@@lukedmoss Without a doubt, I just want Sam to return.
I dunno, I don't really like Sam's New York state of mind... give me a Boston guy any day over a NY one.
Poor Jews small hats are always being victimized
