    Well done James great video nice to see someone put the heed bunker bars with bags assembly vid for the Africa twin riders!...for they are great bars and I've had mine for 8 months no problem,..been through the winter and Have even dropped the bike thanks to the bars has kept my DCT box safe from damage.
    I too did a fitting vid like yours but as a old boy way to lazy to put it on RUclips and when fitting saw there was a few finished vids but no one till yours showed them being put together!...again well done.

      I’m in the early stages with my New RUclips channel at the moment. I’m no expert but I think my video should help a few people! Hope your pleased with your new heed crash bars as we were.
      Please like and subscribe to my new channel and I would like to think I could produce some more helpful videos in the near future.
      We have got a big trip coming up this year in September so keep a look out for more information on that if you’d like to see what else we get up to! 👍

    Yep, for this price you can't go wrong. I actually ordered directly from their website (much cheaper then ebay) and got them for 220 EUR with bags included (aprox 200 pounds) with delivery inclusive.
    For both engine and fairing / tank protection you have to know that there isn't a better / cheaper crash bars out there. Only for the engine you pay aprox that amount and if you want the upper part covered thats another 200 BGP at least. So highly recommended!
    Website is heedshop.eu

      I see crash bars as a perishable item like tyres and break pads so why pay more than you have to. I’m totally with you on that one👍

    Hi ya nice vid just a quick question do the bags rub on the side panels at all if so do you think it would be worth putting some protective vinyl on the panels thanks

    • @Budgee197
      @Budgee197  5 лет назад +3

      The bags have quite a lot of clearance from the side panels. I can fit my hand down behind the so no problems with that issue!
      Hope that helps👍

    This is a great video, thank you, I am tempted to go with these. If I interpret this correctly, I don't need to disturb the exhaust downpipes to fit these Heed bars?
    Lovely motorbike by the way!

    • @Budgee197
      @Budgee197  5 лет назад +2

      The downpipes don’t need to be touched at all!
      The only thing that needs to be changed are a few bolts but you get all new relevant hardware with the new bars as part of the fitting kit. They really are a great buy!

      Thanks for the reply Biker Budgee. I thought this was the case but have seen other crash bar installers talk of problems refitting and resealing the exhaust downpipes. I will follow you go with Heed!

    Hi Im choosing now what bars I have to go for .....Do you thing these are realy solid and can absorbe some impact ???When the biks realy fall?

    • @Budgee197
      @Budgee197  5 лет назад +3

      I’m not an expert when it comes to this kind of thing and I can only give an opinion of my experience using the heed bars as I’ve not used any other brands.
      The bars are an all in one construction with no joins in them so they don’t have any week spots like some other brands have ( the top and bottom separate with a single bar bolted between them). the are mounted in a good solid location on the bike which helps spread the load of an impact. The bars seem to be very strong and durable and I’ve been very satisfied so far! The powder coat on them is well finished. I am a strong believer in you get what you pay for but I would say the these bars are an exception to that rule. If you pay a lot of money for a well known brand and you damage them it’s expensive to replace them. With the heed bars it wouldn’t cost the earth to buy new ones if they were damaged and that is why I went for the Heed ones. I do class crash bars as a perishable item like tyre and break pads so that’s my logic for going with the cheaper option!
      Feel free to shop round till you find some bars you are happy with. To summarise the bars I would say they are a well priced product and hold up just fine against more expensive brands so WHY pay more than you have to? 👍
      Thanks for you comment and I hope the video was helpful, Biker Budgee.

    Hi i got this and installed a few days back. Got an odd vibration at 120kph. Any idea what it could be?

    • @Budgee197
      @Budgee197  5 лет назад

      Rakesh Shankar
      I’ve never had anyone with this problem yet, your definitely the first.
      I really wouldn’t like to say what the vibration your getting could be?????
      My guess would be that you could be experiencing some kind of wind buffeting and it’s causing a vibration. I have roof bars on my work van and I get really bad vibrations when I’m at speed with those . It could be a similar vibration your getting with your bike.
      My other guess would be that there might be something you missed when tightening everything down or something could of worked it’s way loose. Just go round and check that first. If you do find something that’s come loose then I would advise to use some medium strength lock tight.
      If you believe it’s not either of those possibilities then it could actually be something that’s nothing to do with your new crash bars but coincidentally started after you fitted your new crash bars, like the tyres are out of shape or need balancing. It really is a stab in the dark as it could be a number of things. Be patient and just go through each process and try to eliminate possibilities one at a time.
      I’m no mechanic so I can’t really advise you what it could be but that’s what I would be checking first.
      Please let me know how you get on and if you find out what it was causing the vibration.
      Thanks for your comment and I hope you get it sorted!👍
