It's the drive shafts. You can tell because under power there's no squeak, but as soon as you let off, the drive shafts spin freely, and that's when they squeak. 100% sure on this, Mine made that sound after a snow run, it turned out it was the CV joints at the wheels being dry. The upper dog bones make a similar sound. I used a dry Teflon lube made for bike chains and it's gone.
+udluuz Yup! I use the Finish Line brand...got mine locally but Amazon has it too. I use it on my summit and e revo CVD axles for the winter. Finish Line DRY Teflon Bicycle Chain Lube, 4-Ounce Drip Squeeze Bottle www.amazon.com/dp/B002IDZXRM/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awd_fICDwbJ12ACKC
it is not the bearing problem. You don't hear the squealing noise when accelerate. This is a common problem. The noise is from axle. Just use dry lube or wd40 and you are done.
I bought a new xmaxx last week. I have not even got 2 hours of runtime and mine is already squeezing. you would think for the $1000 I payed that I would not have this issue so early on. time to get out the graphite.
+Tinsley Smith Thanks Tin Man. The frustrating part is this car is completely brand new just taken out of the box and had 2-3 runs up and down my street when the noise started. I can accept it if it already had a few runs but not out of the box! Hopefully this Teflon lube recommended by RC Maniacz below does the job.
+udluuz Seems like everyone has already given advice on the sound, i'll peggyback, check bearings. If need be replace & add some Corrosion X to all moving parts/ metal on metal.
+jamienoah222 Sprayed some dry lube on the axle carrier dog bones and it minimized the squealing. I did notice the when you take the wheel off and move the hub carrier with your fingers it make some noise
Its the dogbones in the cup - just grease them up - problem solved - had same issue esp where dusty

+RC Maniacz Thanks RC Maniacz I will pick that stuff out tomorrow. Any suggestions where to get this stuff auto zone maybe?
I know bike stores sell it, but I'd bet an auto parts store should have a good teflon based version.
+RC Maniacz Thanks buddy!

Its the driveshafts in the cups you need to use marine grease on them and that problem will go away
Not bearings. It is the axles. The dogbones get sqeaky. Put some dry lube on them and it will stop.
I had the same thing with mine. I took all the wheels and bearings out and lubed them with grease. Axles too and no more squeaks.
Dry lube works well to, Thanks for watching

Yea exactly, I put a little grease in the cups with a spray of dry lube. Problems solved

Hammer Home you spelt “lubrication” wrong.
I have the same thing happening with my X maxx please help, i have no idea what it is. I think it might be the diff's but I'm not sure.
don't get frustrated my brother it sounds like something minor like dirty bearings

Yes sprayed some dry lube on the shaft joints. Thanks for the comment
