If you want to learn how to play piano just stay on the piano for all course and practice. You will be amazed at what you will accomplish! ruclips.net/video/Onvhq9Soz6E/видео.html
If you also wish to learn how to play the piano:
-Start with the Basics: Learn the names of the keys, basic music theory, and how to read sheet music. Understanding these fundamentals will make learning more complex pieces easier.
-Practice Regularly: Consistent practice is crucial. Aim to practice daily, even if it's only for a short period. Regular practice helps build muscle memory and improves your skills over time.

I love how you are being realistic with the time windowing when it comes to learning new things. So many of the videos in RUclips are saying "LEARN TO BE A PIANO EXPERT IN JUST 10MINS" or some bs like that. But you are using phrases like "in a couple of months" or "do this for few days", i love that!

I'm a guitar player of thirty years who has recently dislocated my biceps muscle in a freak genetic series of events. It's been two months since I've been able to hold a guitar (which feels like a million months to a music addict like myself). I recently realized that it's not too painful to play piano because of the different muscle groups used. This video is the first I've truly watched through and it's getting me pumped to re-start my musical journey with a new instrument. Thanks so much for the content! I will be watching everything you have now.

Zack, I have always wanted to learn to play the piano since I was a kid. I am now 70 years old and that dream has not become a reality. I sing acapella 'base"
It hurts big time that I am not playing piano. I have seen many videos, had lessons and still I lack the motivation to practice until now. I came across your video and instantly became motivated to make this happen. I've already downloaded the exercises. I feel the chord progression is my best but I am motivated to use them all. If I could just play 3 songs, I would be happy, but WILL this exercise WILL motivate me to do much more. I can now see my dream coming true.
    Thank You Zack!!

Then I decided I would just give it a couple hours every weekend and just not judge myself, just immerse myself in the process. For finger exercises, probably the most used publication is the Hanon Finger Exercises. The full name is "Hanon: The Virtuoso Pianist in Sixty Lessons". The very first exercises are similarly simple and easy like the five finger exercise shown in this RUclips. And, in my opinion, a little nicer to listen to. They get more and more difficult as you work through the book. But just doing the first one or the first few will help a lot. The exercises are designed to develop equal finger strength and improve technique. My mother was a professional concert pianist (solo performances at Orchestral Hall in Chicago, for example) and she ALWAYS began a practice session doing maybe a half dozen of the Hanon exercises. And if she was having some specific difficulty with a piece, such a certain trill, she would go to the exercise that addressed that issue to solve the problem.

I've been self taught to play with my right hand since a kid. I'm 52 now. I play guitar too as my main instrument but I got a keyboard a year ago to help with songwriting and midi. Of course I started playing my own songs that I wrote on guitar, using shapes without really knowing the notes on guitar. I been learning so much on keys as far as understanding the relationships between chords so much better. My main issue is getting my left hand to keep up. This has really helped me begin to break through, which is helping me with my own song composition, using the keys as an accompaniment instrument. I need to learn more left hand patterns. Thanks for this simple exercise. Improve is my favorite part.

Interesting. I am a returning beginner, and I have been doing an hour a day of finger skill building and muscle memory techniques that I have designed for myself. C,D,E,F,G,A,B. Then in reverse. B,A,G,F,E,D Alternating from left hand to right and reverse. Then towards the end of my hour, I attempt to use both hands simultaneously going through the notes. The 1 key to this was figuring out the thumb under the #2 finger on C, E then utilizing the other fingers on the F-B and back again. Your STEP 1: Five Finger Drill, obviously excludes this practice method. Which is a lot simpler obviously. Not sure how this enhances your abilities if you cannot learn to reach the A & B. But nonetheless, it is interesting how close your starting practice suggestion fell in line with my own created practice. And at a much shorter interval in the day. I would say the not slapping the key is a technique your students should appreciate. Wrist roll. Another thing I have/had to teach myself, since not everyone on youtube focusses on that. Pinky does not seem to have issues as much as finger #4. At least on the left hand. Perhaps if one already knows how to type on the computer keyboard, they will find learning the piano an easier challenge. Or vice versa. I had/have both growing up. So the coordination application is already engrained in my brain. Although, when I started typing, I was using a mechanical typewriter. And if you went to fast the strikers got jammed together. lol I will incorporate part 2 and 3 into my practicing. Although, I think part 3 will be more fun and certainly easier to do. But part 1, yah um, no. I want to stick to having all 7 white notes reachable. And somehow incorporate the wrist roll into that practice. I have also been practicing drums for the last 10+ years. lol They do not translate to 1 one another.

I'm an adult newbie & learning cords is probably the most confusing thing for me. That being said I'm able to play the first part of fur Elise just from watching RUclips. I absolutely love the feeling of progressing & from tomorrow on I will be warming up by doing your 5 finger drill

I love piano music and have always wanted to play, now at 55 yo I came across your channel and have the opportunity to play using your method which you make very easy to understand. It was always too intimidating for me to learn in my younger years, made it seem like an impossible dream but finally, with your channel I am going to give it my best shot. Thank you for your time and all you share with us beginners.

Thank you! The fun lessons I never had. Lite on the theory and heavy on the how. I like learning how to doing something then learning why. An example is how you showed how to play five note scales. Then you told why a person should roll their wrist. I’m excited to learn more.

I used to play the keyboard till my college days. But then the race to make life "better" took a different course. Recently I wanted to get back to it and went ahead and got a new keyboard. So glad I came across this video right at the start. I did this for 4 weeks now, mostly 5 days a week like you mentioned would happen. And this helped my fingers so much. The tension is quite relaxed now and the finger placement is pretty accurate on the keys. Thank you!

I’ve spent days sorting through piano lessons on YT and this is the first video where something snapped inside, like the scene where Neo turns his head and realises he finally understands the matrix. Lol this video is like the code just unscrambled and for the first time I realised how inversions eliminate the hand from jumping around, and removes the poppy cheesy generic jumpy sounding chord progressions and how to make them sound coherent and musical… almost enchanting like a musical score. Wow
    Man. Light bulb moment.
    Thank you.
And this is after 30 years of “programming” dance music.

I just bought a digital piano and plans to re study playing. I was enrolled in a piano lesson when I was 8 up to 11 years old. I am now 55. I want to re learn those piano pieces that I played before. It will be a long journey but I hope to do it. Thank you for this. I remember my piano teacher teaching me this exercises.
