These all make sense to me. You have to think like a family coming to Disney and planning a character meal, maybe an event dining like Cinderella's royal table etc. Your not going to go to something like jinko or other higher end places. Love liberty tree, so much food.
It would be amazing if you tried all the top 5 restaurants They all have good points such as atmosphere but sometimes the food is a afterthought. Can't wait to see the updates . Thank you
Be Our Guest was on my daughter's bucket list for our trip in June. So we went...Food was good but not worth the price but you go for the ambience and experience. Once and done.. Marked it off our bucket list. Not inclined to do Cinderella's Table. 50s primetime is one of our favorites because of the experience and the comfort food. Liberty Tavern is a great family restaurant and perfect for a holiday time meal. I have never done Crystal Palace so we may try that in the future.
I agree with Erica, I’m a huge Beauty and theBeast fan, and I have been to BOG 3 times. It’s not about the food it’s about the theming. It is absolutely beautiful. Especially the West Wing and the Ballroom.
I wish they would put a $10 deposit on reservations to minimise the people who hoard bookings. I saw a Facebook group where loads of people had multiple bookings for multiple restaurants on the same day and were controlling who could have them. Its horrible
I love Liberty Tree Tavern. It’s my favorite. But Turkey is my favorite meal and we generally eat there if we ca get a reservation because its a sit down meal I enjoy. Tip for those that can’t get a reservation. The last time I was there, the Diamond Horseshoe served the same food from the same kitchen. IT was also family style with Turkey and pork with the sides. Of course the decor and theme are different but off you are going there because of the menu then check out Diamond Horseshoe because you might find it easier to get a time you prefer there rather than Liberty Tree.
I would love to see you guys eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner (or whatever different menus they have everyday) at the top 3-5 restaurants. The different menus can be dramatically more or less price appropriate, especially for character and highly themed restaurants.
I have been to and love all of these restaurants as an occasional visitor (4 times as an adult). Liberty Tree is a go-to for us b/c of the Ooey Gooey Toffee cake, so delicious! We tried to do Sci-Fi on our trip last year but couldn't get in, so we did 50's Prime Time (had never been to either before) which was really fun and we liked the food. We had a great waitress. Crystal Palace is one of my faves for characters, but they weren't back yet when we took our trip so we skipped it. You all have to go to Cinderella's Royal Table...we went once and it was fun!
We had lunch at Be Our Guest when it first opened in 2014. It was a quick service then and it was GREAT for a quick service but the main draw was definitely getting to eat in Beast's castle.
When we went in 2021 Be our guest was great we got the steak and it was perfectly cooked. We all cleaned our plate...but mayne we had a skewed view because the parks were still at limited capacity. I would love for you guys to do tucker house again because they went back to buffet. Just wondering if the quality has changed?
Cinderella's Royal Table is a wonderful experience, particularly if you have young children who enjoy meeting the princesses. Eating in the castle is pretty amazing. It is not exactly gourmet fare, but the food quality has always been good. We've done both breakfast and dinner there and have been pleased with the food. As for Be Our Guest, I personally think it's amazing, but it's been a while since we've been. Still, I thought the food was excellent and the atmosphere can't be beat.
We went to Be Our Guest for Dinner and got lucky and got a table in the West Wing, which was far smaller than I realized. It was a real treat for my wife and I to celebrate our final wedding anniversary.
I think LTT is popular because people get tired of burgers and fries. The food although not "exciting" is consistent and good. The ooey gooey toffee cake is delish. One of the best desserts on property and you can get extras.
I wouldn't say these are the 'Most Popular' based on your explanation that these were the most sought on your site. I believe they would be the most searched restaurants. Difference between curiosity and popularity.
Just got back from a week at AkL. The most popular restaurants in no particular order are space 220, be our guest, Sci fi diner, cinderella royals table. #5 is a toss-up between a lot of places
Crystal Palace at least before they took the characters away was the best paying restaurant job at Disney. I havent been in over 20 years but my kids are 30 and 23. Lol
@ryno the best way I found when we went last March/April was book a bar slot at space220. Better view of space and a mix of bar menu plus the full table menu.
I'm wondering if a lot of the the interest in Liberty Tree and 50s Prime Time might be from international travelers . I can see how they'd be attracted to a place that offers "an all- American" dinner experience. Those two places have an explicitly American menu and atmosphere.
Is this related to what is available for reservations? The most informed/experienced Disney goers are at the ready at 60 days to book their dining and don’t need to research. So the people researching might be looking up what is showing as available in the app inside the 60 day window.
I miss Jackie and Deni and Steve porter. This was a fun video.I used to love Be Our Guest, when their lunch menu was a delicious quick service meal.Currently,it’s a little too weird and pricey. My family and I miss the quick service lunch they used to offer.50’s prime time is always delicious and a great experience.
We tried for ever to get into Be Our Guest. For years. Eventually, we got in for lunch and my daughter told us to make sure that we ordered “the grey stuff” even tho it wasnt on the menu yet. It was delicious. Never got a reservation for dinner but was not really impressed with the menu. It is a beautiful building inside and the way they deliver the meal is a lot of fun. Once we had the experience, we didnt need to go back.
what’s funny is when i went to new york i ate at a “version” of space 220. It was the exact same concept but instead of a space station the shuttle took you to mars and they had a little alien that would wander around as well. :)
Have eaten at be our guest mutiple times for breakfast and lunch. The food for those two times was so so, and the quality keeps going down, so we usually skip it. In fall 2021, we eat at be our guest for dinner for the first time and were surprised. The food was delicious, was night and day compare to breakfast/lunch. Would eat at be our guest again for dinner definitely!
For people that frequently travel to the Disney parks especially Walt Disney world we know that the food is okay .. I do wish that Walt Disney world would look at the food and get better quality food especially in the pricer restaurants. I do think that the food is much better at Disney springs. I prefer to spend my money at the restaurants over there .
The reason that Space 220 doesnt show on your list is a lot of people dont research food and dining in advance. They just show up and decide the day of or during their stay. Once they are on property they learn more about what’s there and then try to get reservations last minute or decide to wait in line. Locals and frequent visitors know what’s there and what’s new but dot necessarily research the new stuff thru websites like yours. While I watch many of your vids, I pick and choose because I’m a 40+ year visitor to the parks and a DVC Member. I have other ways of finding out information. As I stated in another comment, I knew Be Our Guest was offering “The Grey Stuff” union request even before it was put on the menu. I think this skews your results. Columbia House isnt one of the most popular restaurants but it is one that a new visitor wont be familiar with and might want to know about. Magic Kingdom is the park people spend the most time in, especially with young kids which would explain why the majority of the entries on the top 10 were from MK. Same reasoning for The why the new restaurant going in at Toy Storyland is number 6. Parents want to know if its going to be a good place to take their kids.
Two comments. First, more people like comfort food than anything else. There's a reason that hamburgers and pizza are consumed in massive quantities in the US. Second, Craig, I suspect that in a few years you may be going to Cinderella's Royal Table now that you have a young child.
Ryno,I was just Meh about 220 until I went. For me, it was just so calming(the service ,food ,and drinks were great) after just riding Galaxy 😁and messing with Genie +.😮💨 in the hot sun.
Since you guys mentioned Space 220, I looked it up. No way in hell am I paying (for my family of four) $220 for lunch or $320 for dinner! And that doesn't include tax and tip!!
Interesting list. We haven’t eaten at the top two searches, mostly because we have boys (now men) and these weren’t high up on the list of places to eat. Our favorite restaurants are at the resorts anyway and we’re less inclined to eat in the parks as we’re DVC members. The majority of the time, we’re not looking for a sit down restaurant in the parks anyway. With that said, there were many times we visited before purchasing DVC and did eat in the parks more frequently. We honeymooned at Walt Disney World and stayed at the Yacht Club Resort. Bring that it was right outside of Epcot, we did dine a lot in Epcot. It was our one and only visit to Nine Dragons (we’re from NY, so the quality of the food wasn’t what we were accustomed to). We’ve also eaten at the Garden Grill, Coral Reef Restaurant, San Angel Inn, Teppan Edo and Alfredo DiRoma’s restaurant (which is now called Tutto Italia). Of course there’s dozens of quick serve restaurants too. In the Magic Kingdom we’ve only sat down at Crystal Palace, The Plaza Restaurant, and Tony’s. Most of the time we’re on the go in this park, so quick service is where we’ve eaten mostly. DHS, we’ve eaten at 50s Prime Time Cafe and Sci-Fi for sit down. Everything else has been quick serve. Again, we’re usually on the run here. Animal Kingdom we’ve never done sit down here, not even at the resort. I know a lot of people rave over Jiko and Sanaa, but we’ve never been. The most frequently visited restaurant has been the restaurant at the Yacht Club (it was the Admiral’s Quarters years ago, I think it’s Ale & Compass now). Our favorite was the Yachtsman Steakhouse, but it’s been a while since our last visit to that restaurant (2012, I think). Most of our meals are “home cooked” due to having the kitchen, so eating out is rather infrequent now when we visit. Disney Springs has some great dining too.
I think it depends on the ages of your family. My husband's and my favorites were Jiko, Flying Fish, Sanaa, Narcooses, and Brown Derby. We also enjoyed Sci Fi and Prime time.
The team hasn't eaten at Skipper's Canteen since 2016 and Pete has down at least 3 reviews at Geyser Point since it opened in 2017 😂 Loved the studio discussion, and a review of Space 220 would be awesome.
Cinderella’s Royal Table makes complete sense. I’ve been there. It’s really cool to be inside the Castle but don’t go because you want to try the food. It’s terrible. Go because you have your own little princess(es). That’s the one and only reason. It’s pricey tho.
It may be that the American food places are sought out by non Americans. I don’t think Cinderella’s Table is worth the cash price, but we did visit when we had the dining plan and our kids were younger. Of course, that was long before COVID. Same with Be Our Guest.
Cinderella’s Royal Table is popular because you get to see the Princesses. When my daughter was little it was just Cinderella and now it’s expanded to add others. It was pricey and the food was terrible but she just wanted to see Cinderella. Crystal Palace was an ok buffet but we got to see Tigger and Pooh. Columbia House served chicken nuggets. There’s a theme. Kid-friendly.
I think people from over seas are looking for American food choices so they get that experience. Especially the Thanksgiving style dinner at Liberty tree. When I go to Bali I want satay, in London fish and chips. In American I want Mac n cheese.
What your missing is that picky eater. People want comfort food that isn't challenging. "popular" means foot traffic. Disney is for children...and it's no surprise that the most popular eatery's are basically 'child' menus.
I do not like theme park food such as hot dogs and french fries etc. I love homestyle food. I loved Liberty Tree. I have eaten there the last 3 trips. In 2022 I also tried Prime Time. Loved it as well.
Never understood the fascination with Be Our Guest. No character interaction, the food is meh, even the ambience is just average once you’re seated. Feels like a well dressed Morrison’s Cafeteria that’s not a cafeteria -which actually is another mark against it considering how extremely average it is. If it was buffet style you could maybe justify the price for having choices? Would also add we have never had a bad dining experience at Crystal Palace. QS and TS dining attached to AKL or AK has always been consistently good throughout the years. Animal Kingdom park and Lodge has dialed in the dining experience. Love the QS in Pandora. Epcot walk ups during Flower and Garden were excellent. Just went this weekend. We stayed at Caribbean Beach, Banana Cabana was surprisingly good. Love the Joffrey’s kiosk situated at the foot of the Skyliner.
You know 50s prime time could very possibly be from your review. It’s not that it’s the most popular, it’s just they saw the review and was curious themselves
Are you able to see where in the world the people were who clicked on these? I think Liberty Tree Tavern, for example, would be a big draw for foreigners. Be Our Guest is about the movie, not the food. Erica got it right. If there were a Muppet restaurant, would you skip it because people said the food was mediocre?
Now that I've finished the video, I have to say: you're coming at this as people who have the luxury of eating at all these restaurants any time you want. For a lot of people, WDW is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, or rare at least. The place I was most excited about at Magic Kingdom? Pinocchio, because I had heard about it when I was a little kid. Also, I looked into Columbia Harbor House because I heard it had plenty of seating, and I don't even eat seafood. I was terrified that we were going to have to eat standing over a garbage can and wanted a safe option. There are a lot of factors here.
YES!! Go to Skippers Canteen. I just went this week. It was awful! Pete needs to give it a good what for. The lions in the jungle cruise were getting a better meal eating that fake rubber and plastic zebra!
Experienced Be Our Guest twice; 2019 & 2021. Both meals were good and service was excellent. The restaurant atmosphere is big draw and I'd go there again.
This list isn't that surprising to me, I think the common denominator is children. Comfort food is generally palatable for everybody. On one of our trips with my older kids, I made a bunch of varied dining reservations, and their favorite was Liberty Tree Tavern. They all loved it. 🤷♂️. This list is about popularity, not "food quality" or "fine dining".
Cinderella's Royal Table doesn't appeal to me. I read that the food wasn't that good. The character experience is currently lackluster. The reservation is sooooo hard to get. After the effort I put into Space 220, I realized that a restaurant could never live up to the hype when you work that hard to get ADR.
The hurricane was probably Dorian in 2019. We were there leading up to it and grabbed all sorts of canceled ADRs on the fly. Be Our Guest for brunch was one. We ended up in Beast’s wing and enjoyed it the best as it was quieter, other than the occasional lightning strike 😂. My charcuterie-style breakfast was great - and the kids enjoyed theirs. Also grabbed 1900 Park Fare for our last dinner while stuck on a broken down Jungle Cruise. Best character dining we’ve had were the stepsisters and stepmother, although we do love Chip & Dale as a close second. I think it’s hard to be experimental with food on a hot Florida day after walking more than normal, so people stick to tried and true.
@@modeltrainstipsandtutorials Good. Having all the princesses interact with guests is what makes character dining so much fun. That is why I enjoyed the Crystal Palance.
Ok you need to convince Cory to let you do the top two restaurants in each park. Otherwise you will just be drowned in Disney homecooked which while not bad is almost always better cooked at home. Thanks all - good group.
If you are just talking about most searched restaurants, then this list isn’t surprising at all. These are mostly all restaurants that are hyped or have a hook. I can see people anting to see things like price, or the menu at these places to see if they want to go. However, it is conflating things to say these are the most popular restaurants. Craig’s description is right, but you can search for a restaurant without ever going to it or even liking it at all. Side note, if the Dis isn’t surveying their members or clients for their experiences with Disney inc, using restaurants, hotel, cruises, even Universal, then you’re just leaving data on the table. You have an enormous base that could give you very rich results.
Most popular according to the DIS in terms of search and click throughs. The clicks are coming through either Google searches or through researching on our site. Maybe there are more popular ones that are getting searched, but not clicked, but that would imply they aren't really as popular then if you can't take the time to click through. It's why I tried explaining it like 4 times throughout the episode. If we are counting page hits as a trend or popular search term, then they'd be the most popular restaurants for people who use are site hence us asking the question are these really the most popular because they shouldn't be and for the most part aren't outside of 1 & 2.
We have were able to dine at Cindy's Table several times over the years, and not once was the food worth what. you pay for. Having said that it is a real thrill to eat in the castle, especially when the fairy Godmother was still there. I love Sci-Fi but again, not for the food! And Be Our Guest? Over rated, over crowded, and NOISY! lol Although, again, dining in the beast's castle is a thrill. My guess that the people doing all this clicking are looking for a themed restaurant as well as good food. I also guess that many of them see the prices and move on! 😂
I agree! We went to Be our Guest in 2019. It felt rushed and loud with marginal food. We were lucky to get a great meet and greet with the Beast but it was absolutely a one and done for us!
@@elainehill5931 same here. While it is a beautiful restaurant, not really worth paying all that money for a few seconds with the beast more than once! lol
I just did Columbia Harbor House last week. Don't bother. It was inedible. I'm not a picky eater, I'll eat crap and be happy with it. This was HORRENDOUS. Mc Donald's is a 5 star restaurant in comparison.
Non of them are worth the sad and delusional Disney dream meal. They are pre-made microwave food. If you consider Applebees and Olive Garden as fine dining, then this is your golden jam. 😅😂😆🤪😂🤣
I pray🙏 their next video is NOT about food. OMG ... all their videos for the last 2 weeks have all been about Food. I think the FOOD topic is FULLY covered by now... LOL
Went to be our guest a month after they opened, the rooms are fantastic, the food was horrible, you have to get and refill your own drinks , half the fountain soda didn't work so there was a 5-10 min line just to refill drinks. The whole area was a disaster. But the rooms are done really nice, the food was terrible though so we will never go back!!
If we brought Jackie and Deni in for this video, it would have been off the rails. Missing them and still loving you guys.
Ever since Fiasco left, there has been a void that needs to be filled... Heck even after Deni left!
Bring Steve porter back
Shout out Steve Porter, he was a good one.
I miss Steve Porter! I hope he and Mikayla are doing well!
These all make sense to me. You have to think like a family coming to Disney and planning a character meal, maybe an event dining like Cinderella's royal table etc. Your not going to go to something like jinko or other higher end places. Love liberty tree, so much food.
I know that a lot of guide books like the “Unofficial Guide to Disney World”recommends Liberty Tree Tavern.
I was going to comment the same thing. A lot of these restaurants are noted in this book and the associated "planing" site.
It would be amazing if you tried all the top 5 restaurants
They all have good points such as atmosphere but sometimes the food is a afterthought. Can't wait to see the updates . Thank you
I’ve gotten a walk up bar seat a few times now at Space 220, I love being able to get just appetizers and a drink. 😍
I think these places offer kid-friendly family-friendly food. Parents know they usually will able to find something for everyone on the family.
This was a great idea for a video. You can do this with a lot of things like most searched rides, hotels, Disney Springs restaurants, etc
I would love to see you guys eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner (or whatever different menus they have everyday) at the top 3-5 restaurants. The different menus can be dramatically more or less price appropriate, especially for character and highly themed restaurants.

We had BOG last week. Phenenomal meal. Almost same level as JIKO. Service was phenomenal. Price is pretty insane $400 for my family of four

Very interesting. Never would have guessed 5 4 and 3. Would like to know where Ohana and Hoop De Do landed.

Liberty Tree Is one of my all time favorites. I’ll be there Wednesday
We have been to WDW 1-2 times each year for the past 20 years and always go to Prime Time. It would certainly be in our top 5.
I got lucky with a Space220 reservation the day of just by refreshing. It was an awesome experience loved the food!

Yes! Was called Mars2112
I was pleasantly surprised by brown derby on last trip
More table service reviews in 2023? I'd love if you revisited Marrakesh!
Liberty Tree for first timers a must…
What was the most searched/ clicked on restaurant in each park and off the resorts? We know MK, HS, and Epcot I guess. Maybe top three from each?

I’m with you Craig, B&B is my least favorite from the renaissance. I think a cave of wonders restaurant would be amazing!
I love liberty tree tavern!
Now I'm really curious about The Ryno at 50s Prime Time!
Be Our Guest was a great spot before they switched to the Pri-fix lunch and dinner.
The food is garbage.
Have Jackie & Big Fat Panda left the DIS unplugged team?
No
I do not like theme park food such as hot dogs and french fries etc. I love homestyle food. I loved Liberty Tree. I have eaten there the last 3 trips. In 2022 I also tried Prime Time. Loved it as well.
Should have done top 10
After the effort I put into Space 220, I realized that a restaurant could never live up to the hype when you work that hard to get ADR.
i enjoyed eating there thought food was good
@@kurtsugg3455 Glad you liked it. Maybe someday
We went in 2018 and had a very enjoyable experience - food was ok - characters were great and they have just confirmed that they are all coming back.
Love sci fi and dine . Brown Derby is ok 👍 but not great
Just because a restaurant is searched doesn’t make it popular. Means maybe people know little about it and are trying to get information.
No Ryno you cant leave !
I would think Ratatouille should be on your list.
While it is a beautiful restaurant, not really worth paying all that money for a few seconds with the beast more than once! lol
Be our guest was such terrible food 🥘 last time I went and tiny portions
Bring back Pete
I just did Columbia Harbor House last week. Don't bother. It was inedible. I'm not a picky eater, I'll eat crap and be happy with it. This was HORRENDOUS. Mc Donald's is a 5 star restaurant in comparison.
1-4, people wanted info on the customer interaction. They were wondering if their kids would like it.
Be Our Guest was the most overrated and extremely disappointing dining experience I have ever had. One and done and never again for me
Please take Ryno to Cinderellas Royal Table!
It's the musical tree tavern. This why
I think these analytics aren't necessarily the most popular because people may search online but never eat there.
Non of them are worth the sad and delusional Disney dream meal. They are pre-made microwave food. If you consider Applebees and Olive Garden as fine dining, then this is your golden jam. 😅😂😆🤪😂🤣
Almost every popular restaurant on Disney property that I’ve been to tasted mediocre. Like Sci-Fi & Via Napoli..
Too much talk by Craig.
Then why didn’t they talk more?
I disagree just was there before xmas at Crystal palace it was Terrible hate to say it but true !
