Do you ever see patients remotely? Your videos have been so enlightening and I have had severe insomnia for about 4 years and am looking for help but am on the West Coast. I had my thyroid removed at 18 and have also dealt with PTSD and now cannot get relief from the insomnia. Would love to work with you!
Thank you Doctor Park~! You always provide such great information. I'm going down the road of addressing UARS, presently wearing braces at 58, trying to expand palette for lower jaw advancement. Yup, I have a small airway and a cross overbite. But the stuffy, running nose is constant.
As I mentioned in my video, menopausal women have poor sleep due to lack of progesterone, which acts to stiffen tongue muscle tone. Some women benefit from OTC bio-identical progesterone, or if not strong enough, prescription combination bio-identical estrogen and progesterone by a compounding pharmacy. A holistic/integrative medical doctor can help. If you have not sone so already, take a look at Dr. Christiane Northrup's book, The Wisdom of Menopause. She endorsed my book, Sleep, Interrupted.
www.youtube.com/@doctorstevenpark I noticed sometimes get stuffy nose only when getting comfortable for bed and before sleeping ….so is that hormones responsible? So causing possible sleep apnea due to inflamed narrowed air passages in nose What can we do to avoid it
For many people, lying down to sleep aggravates the turbinates to swell up with blood due to gravity. It's a nervous system imbalance. Certain medications can aggravate this problem, especially ones that lower your blood pressure or relax blood vessels. Are you taking any medications? Nasal congestion due to a hormone problem will be present all the time, and not just at night while lying down. I recommend going thorough my other videos on nasal congestion. And for a complete guide on how to unstuff your stuffy nose, I do have an e-book, which you can find in the description area. Good luck!
