  • Approximately 57,750 tons of Silvi Sand was recently used to restore or "nourish" a beach in Elsinboro Township, NJ. A joint effort between the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the NJDEP, the project calls for periodic nourishment of the two-mile stretch of Oakwood Beach, designed to reduce the risk of flood and coastal storm damage to the local infrastructure.
An initial round of nourishment took place in 2014, when sand was dredged in from the Delaware River's main channel. Eight years later, the second round, now contracted to Agate Construction Co., has 80-90 truckloads of Silvi Sand delivered every day from our mine in Franklin, NJ.
Enjoy this first episode of a new series where we dive into all the amazing projects Silvi Materials is an integral part of.

Duh this is why you don't build on a beach. Same reason to not build in the desert then complain about no water. Gawd people wake up!!!
