Teenagers wasn't exclusive for Japan. It was on an MCR tribute album that was released worldwide. The record contained one cover of every song on The Black Parade, each one by a different artist. Against the Current did Teenagers, Twenty One Pilots did Cancer, etc.

It's not that they get more money, but it's that albums tend to cost more, or are relatively expensive in Japan, so artists put Japanese exclusive tracks on albums to incentivize album sales.
