On the Massimo Training Chanel on RUclips there is a detailed overview of the new 50n and the differences to the PM8006. There are double number of transistors in parallel than PM8006, also a bigger power transforme, encoder digital volume control, etc. A big minus for me is that it's made in Vietnam instead of Japan where PM8006 was made. I have PM8006 and I'm very pleased with it.
I’ve had numerous amps with 4 to 24 transistors per channel, generally more is better. More effortless power, and very powerful bass. This looks like a well designed amp, but nowhere close to my old Yamaha A-1000 with massive capacitors, and 8 transistors per channel.

Su'scon is one of the least reliable caps, and they are definitely a 3rd or 4th tier capacitor. In the past Marantz was using Nichicon capacitors eve in they lower end amplifiers, that is one of the top japanese capacitors brand and it's tier 1 Unfortunately this company going a wrong way after selling to Masimo.

This set, it's better than 40n.
Better? Maybe more expensive. By removing anything digital from the model 50 amp, they basically push you to buy along with the cd 50n 😊
Model 40N has no pre out to power amp.
