that’s because he’s been singing & performing for OVER 40 years so him singing for that long has GOT TO wear out his voice just think about all the times he’s performed in his career either in concert or on tv and think of how OFTEN he uses his voice even TALKING he’s USING it and also think of how OFTEN he’s interviewed as well that’s got to help to wear it out

One of my favorites ,sadly time hasn't been kind to his voice ,but truly a legend.
Unfortunately years of touring has finally caught up to him but yes he is a living legend

You can't expect a man in his sixties to have the vitality of voice that he had when he was in his 20s. But, his voice still carries the emotion, It was the same with Frank Sinatra.

My beautiful sons bought me the ticket to your last concert in Toronto as a birthday gift and it was just magical. The last 2 concerts I saw BonJovi in Florida, I got the same comments from everyone I talked to that went to the concert’ they all wanted to hear the classics, now this includes me. We are fans of the old music, we all went to get drinks when the new music was playing, there were too many song we did not know

I wonder if everyone wants to hear the hit songs because they can stand up, jump around, & sing so loud with Jon. I love that too but I would love to hear some songs that Jon loves but has rarely performed. Who knows, that may become a hit to you, one you want to hear over & over, like Wanted or It's My Life. Just my thought.

I wish the years weren't so hard on his voice. If you really listen, his voice is still there. Maybe with some good vocal coaching techniques or exercises, we can hear the Jon we all fell in love with. Totally 100% respect this man, it's just painful to listen to him sing. His voice is definitely shot.

Love what he said about their setlist. I hate going to a concert expecting to hear one of my favorites and the band not delivering. Example, Heart playing Alone as an acoustic song. It has no punch and I hate it.

Bon Jovi has some great music and I got to see them on their first US tour and several times over the years. After not seeing them for many, many years, I went in 2017 and have to say that they did not follow Jon's comment about picking the set list. They played 22 songs that night and only 10 were the hits. The rest were new and obscure songs. Everyone I know that was at that show said they were disappointed because the set was so full of unknown songs. The first part of the show was heavy with them while there were more hits at the end. The first hit did not come until song #3 an the next real one at #10. I expected the set to kick off with a hit. The bad sounded great, I just didn't get a set list of songs I was hoping to hear. The way Jon explained it on here would have been great because there are always going to be songs someone wishes they could have heard. A set list like he explained, I will always walk away from satisfied since I know I cannot hear everything I would like to but, that I got a good taste of their best tunes...

Then there is half of the new album, being one of the first dates of the tour it's normal, they play some tracks to see how the audience likes them or not, and as he said, the band is happy 😃
To me it seems a standard-begging of the tour American setlist
I agree with u as the show in 2017 was the worst Bon Jovi concert i ever saw in Dallas,Tx March 2017. I have seen them on every tour since Slippery When Wet as that being my 1st concert ever. The 2017 concert played a lot of new songs that most of the audience didn't know&alot of fans were saying how disappointed they were&Jon's voice cannot hit or carry notes anymore&the music has gone downhill since Richie left. I never thought i would say this coming from a die hard fan with his autograph tattooed on my shoulder&the heart&dagger on my back&also having a bedroom in my house with all Bon Jovi memorabilia. Richie needs to come back as he writes the music with Jon as it is more "rockin'"
The last decent album from start to finish was these days in '95....

Everyone says the years have been hard on his voice have it wrong.
Jon has been hard on his voice, it's his own fault his voice is shot ahem, 'these days'.
Instead of taking breaks between tours between slippery and Jersey, instead of taking more days off between concerts and resting his voice, his ever present need to keep touring and burning himself out is what did it.
Shooting cortisone injections into your vocal cords to stop the swelling because you've thrashed yourself out takes its toll...
Maybe he should have listened to richie and his other employees when they said they're working too hard.
Maybe if he did and took more time off and had better breaks sambora might’ve actually stayed...
Pity that he didn’t say his greatest accomplishment was helping out charities for the disabled or putting food on the plate for hungry fellow citizens or donating money for disaster relief. An accomplishment is not always where you gain, you can give and get so much in other ways.
He was so rock 'n roll before when he was younger, and now he's talking about The Killers and Coldplay beeing rock? :(
