This is one of the initial assault videos from 2 years ago, Russian assault turned into a complete disaster for them, the wrecked chopper is still there and apparently was made into a tourist attraction.
This is from the first days of the war, and the Russian invaders at Hostomel airport were eradicated a few days later. They were some special air assault unit, the "elite" of Russian forces.
Not the same helo. When pilot jumps out you can see the bottom is blue. In the end of the video, the helo shown does not have a blue painted bottom. But interesting video nonetheless.
Hostomel. So that's the first assault, when they learned that it wasn't going to be a cakewalk. And it landed well because it's a Kamov helicopter. They don't have a tail rotor. They don't need one because they have dual counterrotating main rotors, so the torque cancels out, eliminating the need for a tail rotor to keep it from spinning around in circles. It's also got ejection seats - all jokes aside, it's a pretty well thought out system. It releases the rotors, then ejects the pilots a second later, and to the sides. I can't imagine that's good for your back, but it's better than dying.
It seems very close to the targets they are engaging no? I figured an attack helicopter would be supporting from a safer distance; but I could be wrong. Higher altitude, and engaging from a farther distance.
That's one hell of a mug. Is the handle actually made out of rope? I can confirm that if there was ever an invasion of the US, those of us capable of fighting of the Pacific Northwest, the Inland Northwest, which is where I live, and especially Northern Idaho, would dissapper into the forests. I commonly joke around with my friends if they need to dissapper for awhile around where come out to where I live.
@@EmilioMetralleta thats what i meant, he didnt just doing Ukraine Failures he also do Russian Failures unlike those mainstream media news that are Bland and Fake.....they never mentioned the Ups and Downs from both sides
Im surprised they even released this footage tbh I didnt think it was as crazy as i thought it was going to be, i thought the chopper was going to crash in a big holloywood explosion lol , but those pilots landed the chopper really though.
The Ukranian landscape really is wide open for the most part, at least from what I've seen, or at least in the areas where most battles takes place, the only part of my country(Sweden) that looks like that is the very south, thats where the best soil for farming is as well, supposedly 70% of the land here is classified as woodlands.... which sounds a lot, but it's probably pretty accurate, so it's very different, Ukraines open landscape would make concealment so much more difficult.
There's another video I think you'd find interesting too. It's a go pro video from the helmet of a Russian fighter pilot as he ejects after his plane is hit. ruclips.net/video/-g5yvlAbrCk/видео.htmlsi=AbskPKkdfH7jeykt
Nothing crazy about it and the 1st shots of the pilots laying down for cover you can see a blue belly of the craft that doesn't appear in the second helo. Based on the damage I highly doubt they are the same.

Isn't this the chopper that wrecked havoc during the Ukrainian counter offensive last year?
Yep

War Archive has a good video on the battle of hostomel airport as well as other battles from the Ukraine conflict.
You should watch a video on Hind Helicopters. They are probably behind the apache as the most famous attack helicopters. Great piece of machine.
I can hear "whats upp everybody" in my head before each video starts lol

I wanna know what that fishing line is tied across the window for.
