Thank you for showing some love to Kanjira! I did not have Sotheby before and thus resorted using Rabies for Jessica's Poison support. It was really satisfying when I discovered that her Emerald divination sets up Jessica's White Blankie with just one AP and by using a level 1 card. After I got Sotheby, I further discovered that her Emerald divination also helps Sotheby's Ult. With two Punji cards, I could easy apply four Poison stacks, which then boosted Sotheby's Ult damage the next turn. I think she is quite an underrated character. Of course she's not Bkornblume tier, but she's definitely one of the better 5* characters in her field.
I think so, too! It saddens me how I usually see Kanjira being treated as "the inferior choice for Jessica if you don't have Sotheby" or being relegated to Jessica's team only when she has a lot of potential and can do so much more! I also find her Divination mechanic quite rewarding to play around once you get the flow of things. It really feels like a dance, and one of my favorite things about R99 is how they incorporate the character's concept and lore and translate into their kits.
@@liriellh Yes, I also feels that playing with her feels like a dance, and honestly I don't think it is difficult or restrictive to play her. It's not difficult to know what to do in each turn because the game gave you all these pointers (the arrows on the card, the different colors on her bracelent, and the buff icons). Playing her also does not feel restrictive for me, because being a sub-carry, I know that she does not have to play her cards at every turn. When I don't have the divination that I wanted, I can let Jessica or the other characters, e.g. Sotheby or Bkornblume, "dance" for one or two rounds. When my desired divination appears, then I use Kanjira's card. I really enjoyed her! Her P1 makes her a very consistent Poison support for both Jessica and Sotheby, and her personality in the story is really fun (e.g. she scolding the villagers and Shamane in front of the door made me laughed so hard). Hopefully more people will see her value and build her.
I really appreciate the insight builds at the end! Thanks for taking the time to not only review the character but also give good team builds bc lowkey i wanna swap out sotheby for kanjira and see how differently the team plays
