I love that you mentioned Boyz II Men. Shawn Stockman, a member of Boyz II Men, is what the fandom likes to call "the first official Pentaholic". He was a judge on the show The Sing Off in the third season when Pentatonix started as a competitor, and he just loved PTX right from the start.
Another Fun Fact: The four shooting stars are a tribute to the four members of queen. Although you can’t beat Queen they come really close and they did with no instruments. Matt is really great but you should check out Avi’s solo stuff.
Queen...with no instruments...impossible...or should be!!! Great homage to the band members 1 shooting star for each, and Brian May became an Astrophysicist...just stunning.
Thank you for reacting to this epic Pentatonix video. Glad that you liked. There a few hundred Pentatonix videos that you have not yet seen/reacted to and I look forward to more of your Pentatonix reactions.
They are plain and simply incredible. Each of them could easily be the lead singer in any group but amazingly they are all together. They share the lead in almost every song they do which says something great about them individually since those kind of conflicts are what breaks groups up. Everything I have read about them is they are just nice people. How many musical groups do we hear about one or two of them being d*cks but never with these folks. I sincerely hope they are together for a long time!
Brian May of Queen got a Doctorate Degree in Astrophysics (Astronomy) so the shooting stars during the Brian May guitar solo was homage to Dr. Brian May.
Kabir, Since you just mentioned Boyz to Men, you should check out the other awesome a cappella group Home Free’s rendition of End of the Road. It is truly amazing.
The best harmonies? Probably but you will hear Voice Play do something & say nobody else could do. Or Home Free do something & think no one else could do that. And of course, they all could. Voctave has such a 'big sound' probably no one could do that but they have 11 members too. I prefer PTX but they are all very good.
Not sure about the arrangement per se, but I've seen mention that PTX took about 3 years to perfect it to the point that they were comfortable performing it.
Saw them do this live in Matt's first tour. My hubby wanted to leave at the end of the show and I refused because we hadn't seen the encore yet, nor had they done this song. Score! They sang bohemian rhapsody and I was so nice to my hubby. I think I only said I told you so, twice. Only. He did get the tickets for us. Can hardly wait for them to come back to town.
Wow, 16 of them? That’s a good chunk. I’m with you, PTX is just exquisite. It may be time for you to check out Superfruit, a side project that Mitch and Scott worked on for a couple of years. Imaginary Parties, Guy.Exe or Vacation are originals and would be good choices. Peace from Ohio …
I sent you this one a while ago. If not if you got it from someone else on patreon check out Homefree- boyz 2 men cover of “end of the road” or even “friends in low places” covered by homefree
I would say different, not better. The wonderful thing about music is that there is something for everyone! My preference is PTX, but Home Free is great.
Fun Fact: Brian May himself gave them a shout out on his Facebook page for this cover

I mean on the Sing Off finale Sean said that Nick Lachey was the first but he'd be a close second.

Close at what making me laugh and puke
The voice is an instrument.
Kevin Olusola, the PTX beatboxer, has been a guest performer with Boyz II Men within the past year.

Wow!! Best rendition of queen I’ve heard. Almost same

Pentatonix's acapella's rendition of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody
I'm so glad you watched this! Mitch is awesome in this!
Kabir, Since you just mentioned Boyz to Men, you should check out the other awesome a cappella group Home Free’s rendition of End of the Road. It is truly amazing.
awesome Kevin.....I mean Kabir. You are both so handsome and talented. More Pentatonix please.
Have you ever listened to them on the Sing Off show they started on?

Great list of groups. I wouldn't put Voice Play anywhere near any of those other groups so other then that great list.

@@hardtackbeans9790 yes we do
They are the best ever!
Recommend their I Just Called To Say I Love You.
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You’re going way back. So don’t forget Take-6 and the under appreciated Color Me Bad.
❤️❤️❤️🙌🙌🙌
I'd be interested in knowing how long it took to come up with this arrangement.
From what I have read, it took them about 5 years to put this together enough that they were satisfied it met their exacting standards.

Great Reaction 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻, their awesome right!😁.
BtW: i don't know why, but you remind me to "Heimdall" 🙈
You should listen to Voiceplay's Queen in 5 Minutes video. If you loved this, you will love that one!
You should hear home free especially their beatboxer
I didn't know Pat McAfee was in Pentatonix
Nothing against Matt but you can't beat Avi's bass. You can feel the rumble.
Love PTX !!!!!
Try something different, you'll be surprised Chris Stapleton " Cold" live at Grammy's or at CMA''S. Country Blues.
Hey, i have the same chair and the same headphones :D

Doesn't seem you have reacted to another amazing American acapella group HOME FREE

Try HOME FREE. IMHO I think Home Free is better.
I would say different, not better. The wonderful thing about music is that there is something for everyone! My preference is PTX, but Home Free is great.
Don't like it
Kabir. I beg you. Don't sing! You can't be good at everything...
