Add a set a knobbies and these bikes are a load of fun! The only major problem I’ve seen with these are the motor mount bolts break. Motocheez on RUclips shows a fix but hopefully either Tao Tao will improve design or someone will sell a bolt on brace.
Congrats on the new bike! i just hit 1000 miles on mine great little bikes with just a little bit of work and almost all grom parts minus engine parts work on them
Motto Vloggster not to much simple enough things you do to most bike chain lube wise and stuff like that I’d just change the oil often like every 300-500 miles often since it doesn’t have an oil filter. Shell rotella t4 or t6 diesel oil is cheap and works great in these bike. And definitely if you haven’t already go over every bolt on thar bike blue lock tight them and then check them again in a few hundred miles these bikes do vibrate a bit so bolts come loose and they don’t exactly do great at assembling these bikes so some are even loose from the factory. Even with all that they really are great bikes and look into the zs190 engine it’s a direct swap and a cheap way to double your power
The power and bogging issue is due to the carburetor being super lean because of emissions. Removing an intake restriction will allow more air which will just make the bike even leaner. You need to fix the carb jetting. There is no other solution.
@@mottovloggster3361 you don't need a new carb. You just need to up the jetting in the current one. I'm not familiar with this particular setup but I'm sure there Facebook groups or forums where you can get suggestions for jet sizes and tuning.

@@Dr0cKz changing the jet size to get the right air fuel ratio for your altitude. Before you change anything you need to ride it to see if there is any bogging in the rpm at different throttle positions and speed.

Anything I should know maintenance wise

Yes I probably will but I'm waiting on a new carb this was the temporary fix till I got the new carb

It's not a Grom clone it's literally a Grom with a carb. Motocheez was literally switching parts between them.
I mean for $1200 I doubt they will lose any significant amount of value.
