The “based on a true story” preamble in film should always be taken with a grain of salt, as integrity isn’t exactly well known in most Hollywood productions. Also, the real murderer who did inspired the original film, Ronald DeFeo Jr, only died in March of this year, 2021.
May he be burning in Hell, where he, and many more, belong.
Not based on a true story it's bs
He just got crazy and killed then said hi i am a voice who told myself to kill lOl
@@DanDCool you forget people with mental health issues exist?
@@DanDCool Butch Defeo didn’t even think up the “hearing voices/demon” idea. His lawyer William Weber and George Lutz (the guy who bought the Defoe house and claimed it was haunted) thought up the idea in an attempt to make lots of money. We know this because George Lutz sued Weber when he didn’t make enough money from the story. Lutz also tried to sue the first author of The Amityville Horror because he wanted a higher percentage of the profits (which is why Jay Anson wound up writing the book).

I remember from Evil Dead remaster.
Rest easy dogs 😓
I remember in the conjuring 2 the dog died first💔
Cause fuck em that's why
It really upsets me like bruh let the pup live😭
It's the nature of dogs to investigate things... sniffing and getting up close to people because they're curious or barking and attacking anything they're scared of. Seeing George doing something unusual would make Harry want to get up close and see what's going on. Dogs can also sense fear, anger and evil so he probably wanted to make sure he wasn't going to hurt the rest of the family and didn't know that in that state, George would kill whatever startled him.

Saddest thing is that the true part of this story is the gruesome murders in the opening scene. Ronnie was definitely mentally ill, and felt as though killing his father was his only ticket out of the abuse he inflicted on their family. However, Ronnie also went on to kill the remainder of the family because he, ‘didn’t want them to suffer through the loss of their Dad and watch their brother spend the remainder of his life in prison.’ In his mind he was justified as he felt he was doing everyone a favor. I know he was ill, but it doesn’t feel like he should’ve gotten any lesser of a sentence because of that when he took the lives of children. Truly horrific..
