One thing that I have done for bags/slgs that I am not reaching for, is to look at reviews or styling videos, to get ideas and inspiration on how to style them, just as I would if I were researching the bag for an initial purchase! Sometimes watching reviews and WIMB videos, etc, will reignite your excitement or appreciation for something already in your collection. We see videos all the time where folks are rebuying bags that they have sold. Our friend, Stella Connolly is infamous for this!😂 If after all is said and done and the bag still doesn’t work out, then selling it makes sense. Great video!🥰
That makes so much sense! I never thought to watch styling videos for things I’m not reaching for. I will def start doing that. And I’m guilty too of repurchasing a bag I’ve let go of too quickly. I think the only thing I’m going to sell soon is the ysl college bag - the rest I’ll reevaluate at the end of the year (the peekaboo is staying whether I use it or not 🥴). Lol!

I think our regrets help us to make decisions in the future so they end up being good either way. I hope you fall back in love with these bags and wind up using them after this video. Especially the Peekaboo!!!! 😊

If you don’t sell the CD scarf, maybe you can display it since it’s a souvenir from your 5️⃣0️⃣ trip? Tie it around a bag while it’s on the shelf, or on the shelf itself. Idk I’m sure you can find a cute way to show it off and be reminded of your fabulous trip!

I love your collection! Have you thought about buying a bag chain for your cosmetic pouches and using them as mini bags..? Using them as a catchall like you have done is a great option too.
I have to agree with many of your Subbies, maybe neutral bags are not your vibe. They are very beautiful and can go with so much- but it seems as though coloured bags bring you so much joy! Maybe you can add some of the neutrals into your background!
I also think it would be a great idea to frame your scarf like you suggested in the comments- it would be a great way to cherish the memory and would look great between your two top shelves in your background!

Girl it’s so crazy because it didn’t dawn on me that neutral bags aren’t my thing. And .. 5 of the 6 bags are top handles! Just clueless. lol
I haven’t tried adding a strap to the cosmetic cases yet. I think the shape of them throws be off a little. And it’s crazy that I was really about to buy the new flight mode cosmetic case! SMDH!!
I’m def going to frame the scarf. Hopefully it will fit in that space behind me.

Regret is normal because we change our minds and sometimes we have too many bags the same shape so we lean to our favorites. Its hard to know sometimes what you will love the most. I love Ferragamo so I hope you will fall back in love with it.
You’re so right! It was eye opening that most of the bags I listed are top handles and neutral colors. I had no idea there was a pattern. I enjoy Ferragamo too - you can’t beat their quality. I don’t understand why they’re not more popular. I’m a fan for sure!

Most of those I would definitely keep and try to use for sure. I have bags I don't use and wish I did. I like to match wallets to bags. I think if I had a universal wallet and some pouches I'd switch bags more often. I could just easily transfer. It's the switching wallets to match bags that deters me. 😅

I have the Rosalie coin purse in the D.E and I absolutely love mine. I got it to replace my Victorine wallet that I never used and ended up selling 😅 sometimes we don’t realize what works for us until we have it in our possession
Totally agree!!! And I just watched Lo YA Yah’s video about handbags that exceed our expectations - I have a few of those, too.
I could see the Dior WOC/belt bag being used as a clutch with a sundress.
You’re fairly casual in style so I can understand why it feels heavy. It’s fairly formal even with the print. I think if you used it as a casual piece with a simple outfit either now or the fall it may change your mind.

Also - I don’t think you’re a neutral handbag girl. Everything behind you is bold and colorful. Everything you have regretted is muted. (Exception being LV canvas).
I really need to see how I can incorporate the belt bag. I think wearing it with a sundress is a great idea. Thank you for that! You’re right that I’m more casual than formal so that’s prob my struggle. It’s a cutie though so hopefully I can figure out how to make it work.

I have a closet full of regrets…but the Rosalie is one of my favorite pieces from LV. The Coach tabby seemed so small. It’s on sale now and was considering it in vivid pink but gonna stay clear of it. I need to downsize the stuff I know no longer suits me. TFS! You showed some gorgeous pieces.
Girl it is a great little wallet but I totally forgot I had it! Crazy, right!?! This style of the Coach tabby is a little rigid so you can’t fit as much in it. I think if I didn’t have the LV PM E/W I’d wear it more. If you do end up downsizing/selling please let us know cause you have some amazing pieces.
I don’t wear scarves either (unless I’m tying up my hair at night). I am perplexed by the YSL pink and gunmetal, too. Rose or yellow gold hardware would have been better. I like Fendi, but I think a Baguette is more my style than the Peekaboo or Fendi First. The CD belt bag and LV cosmetic bags are nice! I will be first in line if you ever have a vlog sale 😊
Girl me too! I have several sleep scarves - not sure what I was thinking when I got the Dior one (better yet I wasn’t thinking)! I will prob frame it though because it is a pretty piece. And yeh, the gunmetal against the rose doesn’t work for me. I think if the bag was a deeper rose shade it wouldn’t be such a big contrast. I’m going to try to use these items and reevaluate at the end of the year. The ysl bag is the only thing I’m going to get rid off fairly quickly.

I can definitely relate to luxury regrets; I've had my share. The Dior scarf is gorgeous! Seeing it on you made me think of pairing it with a sundress, sunglasses, and layered jewelry (I'm convincing myself I need it 🫣🤭) but I understand why you haven't worn it yet. I love the color of your College bag, but I get what you mean about the hardware. That bag is on my wishlist; I just need to pick the right color. Another great video!
Girl I knew I had some regrets but realizing I had 10 was kinda frustrating. I know everything won’t work out but damn! Lol! I am really going to try to pull off wearing this scarf this summer but I might end up just framing it. It’s frustrating to have so many regrets but I’ve come a loooooooong way! Lol! I’m going to make a conscious effort to use these items. The only thing I’ll prob sell soon is the ysl college bag - the color just isn’t working for me. We’ll see!

I really love your collection and sorry you’re not getting along with some of the pieces. Interesting that the Peekaboo is not working for you, I have been dreaming about that bag, plus that color. It’s good that you’re going to think about it before chopping it off. Because most of the bags that I sold, I later missed them and wished that I had reconsidered them before sending them off.
You’re so right!!! I’ve actually sold bags and repurchased them later because I let them go without thinking it through 🫢! The peekaboo is such a great bag so I hate I don’t use it. I’m making a conscious effort to rotate it staring this week though. The crazy part is I can see me adding another peekaboo in a fun color or fabric to my collection (preloved of course).

Hi Danette!! I'm so happy you made this video. I love these for some reason. I guess because it makes me feel better about my own shopping regrets. My latest one, thankfully, only cost me $140: It is a Kate Spade top handle bag in the most beautiful melon color. It's the only Kate Spade handbag I've ever purchased. The minute I unpacked it, I was like "I'm never going to wear this." It's just there in my closet for me to look at the pretty color and that's it. But very recently before that, I bought a Gucci Water Flora mini top handle that is smaller than a Speedy 20, which I do not care for because it's too small. Again, what was I thinking? Anyway, I almost fell over when I saw your Peekaboo. It's BEAUTIFUL! I hope it grows on you. :). I also bought a Rosalie this year and I like it but I LOVE our Coach zippered card case so much more that I gravitate towards that whenever I'm in something else. Who knows why my brain works that way? Finally, I have a Coach Lana 23 in the stone color too and I don't wear it either. In my case, I know it's because of the color. It's just hard to style w/my wardrobe. It's such a rich color though but I just don't want to wear it. Anyway, thanks for the fun video. I hope you fall in love with some of those. @@FIERCE50PLUS Yes, I think we are definitely birthday twinning and I couldn't love it more! :). Well, sadly I don't have the Gucci anymore. I sent it on to Candi @candissweetloveforlv for her to consign it for me. It should be shown on her Wednesday live, hopefully. I bought the bag because I have the same pattern in the loafers and really wanted to add another item in that pattern but I just couldn't deal with it. Unpopular opinion: I'm not a fan of the Speedy 20 because it's too small IMO and the Gucci was even smaller (but too big to utilize as a SLG). Anyway, what if you add a lively-colored bandeau to the Peekaboo to liven it up? Considering your recent purchases, you are definitely into color. Thank you! So both the peekaboo and college bags are great. I’m never getting rid of the fendi because I can see myself using it more (I hope). The Saint Laurent one may be going soon. The color just isn’t right for me but I think the style and functionality of the bag are amazing (although I with the strap was adjustable).
Hi Danette, great video. It seems like most of your bags are in that same taupe, beige, brown category( not the monogram bags). Perhaps that color scheme doesn’t work well in your wardrobe although they are pretty bags, you are drawn to that color, and they are great neutrals. It may not be the right neutral for your wardrobe although you love the color. But on the other side , I have noticed even with my collection, if you love it, you can’t get rid of it and you force yourself to incorporate it. Even if it’s just once. However, to me , it just seemed like the tabby, peekaboo and Ferragamo were all in the same color scheme almost with different designs.

It is definitely beautiful! I really have a hard time reaching for it. It’s been in my collection for a few years and I can count how many times I’ve worn it. I think it’s mainly the color that’s throwing me. I’m glad you realized you prob wouldn’t use it before you purchased. It’s def a very costly regret.

This one is way too neutral and classic which is great but not the color I wanted my peekaboo in . Would prefer one in Fuchsia, pink or lilac

@@FIERCE50PLUS , I have the same YSL bag and didn’t carry it immediately because I was trying to find a way to match my wardrobe. I no longer carry bags for the purpose of matching, I now just pick a different bag every Sunday and wear it for the week. I started to enjoy it because I realized it is not something everyone has and while neutral, is unique with the hardware.
