  • Hello everyone.
    Thank you for taking the time to watch my video. I know it was a long one, but I felt it necessary to give as much detail as I could.
    I want to give a shout out to RNO Fit Fabrication for custom making my bumper with a tubular design rather than the new square design. I really appreciate it that.
    Secondly, I wanted to make everyone aware that the bumper fits well on my car, except for that one part of the bumper that is supposed to connect to my car. Other than that, everything connected as it was designed too. I did try reaching out to RNO Fit in regards to this, but they did not contact me back. I have not tried the winch, so I do not know how well the bumper will hold up under load.
    I apologize for how confusing it got at the end, but as promised, below you will find the link to the instal video that RNO Fit provides.

      You can ask them to do it custom made. That’s what I did. The only thing is that it would be considered a final sale.

    the diode dynamics fog lights should come with backets for yours car

      They did, but because my car did not come equipped with fog lights, I had to get after market brackets. They unfortunately were not compatible with the diode dynamics brackets.

    watched your video, thank you for sharing. I have some follow up questions. For context, i installed an RNO bumper like yours. I have had it on for almost a year, the problem i just encountered, which you pointed out in your video, is that the hose for the condenser is too small and too close to the arm of the bumper frame. apparently mine has rubbed so much from offroading and bumps on regular drives that it has caused a leak which triggered a "hybrid system malfunction" error message. The tech at the dealership says it is the hose and that it possibly damaged the connection port at the condenser. I am wondering if you have encountered any issues after your installation, i am also wondering if you went back at any point and made any modifications to accomodate the hose. The dealership wants to charge me about 10k for repairs and to restore it to factory default. I have the original bumper and parts minus some clips that broke. also my wheel well liners and bottom liner gave out after some time due to lack of support or lack of attachment to the new bumper. I have also experienced bumper rub to the wings of the RNO bumper again due to lack of support. let me know if you have addressed any of this with your build. i would like to find a solution for my rav that still alows me to keep the rno bumper. thank you for your time and consideration.

      Hello,
      Sorry for the late response. I’m going to try and explain it the best I can but to be honest it will probably be very confusing.
      I cut the part of the plate that rubs on the hose (this is the plate that goes attached to the car, not the one that is attached to the bumper). I did this to get rid of the pressure this plate creates on the hose. I then bought longer screws (4 - 1 1/2 inch) to replace the exciting ones that came with the bumper. Each plate uses two screws to hold the bumper. I proceeded to put in between the plates a total of 3 washers on each screw. I did this to create space in between the second plate (that I did not cut) and the hose. This has left about half an inch of space in between the hose and the plate that is attached to the bumper.
      I apologize if this was not clear. I know this is very confusing but if you give me a day or so, I will work on a quick video to illustrate what I just attempted to explain.

    Can you link those raptor lights? All raptor lights I can find are for the non prime rav4.

      Sorry for the late response. I actually upgraded my lights to the ones sold by a company called Factor4. I highly recommend them. I think you will like them better. They look better too in my opinion.

    I requested a tubular design when I purchased but they said no. I like the look of yours much better then the square one that came on mine. You got lucky

      Great question. I am actually adding a dual battery system. Mainly for protection of my vehicle but also to help me run all the accessories.

    Looks like it has very little clearance. I'm hoping someone comes out withy one that you need to chop the bottom plastic off.

      @ventureobp  Год назад

      I agree. Clearance did not improve all that much if any. But at least I feel it gives me a little better protection than the stock bumper.
