you mustve done a lot of cool shit to get the game running in widescreen and to have decently stable controls with a xbox controller. teach me your ways man!
Well, since it has been years since I have done this, I can't recall ever changing the control sensitivity--rather I just mapped the buttons to my Xbox controller and just went on. As for widescreen, the game recorded like that, all I had to deal with were the aforementioned huge file size. Namco racing games are a challenge for me considering what I put myself through (eg. Professional class in both Ace Driver games, hardest time difficulty in Ridge Racer 1/2 & Rave Racer) so hopefully I can play this game again and win! ...For once.
When I play this game the steering is way too sensitive and keeps over correcting when going back to the central position. I'm using xbox compatible controller. Any ideas ? I've tried all analog control setting in MAME 220
for me it does that even when I am not recording. On version of mame i have ever got, all the namco system 22 games are so slow at the same speed. In air combat 22 is smoth at first because you're on a menu.
Then, I don't know how to help you achieve 60 fps for your games since I've always used MAMEUIFX's default settings (sans the joypad control option that is automatically enabled with supported gamepads detected)
MAMEUIFX is a GUI for MAME, which has recording available from the boot also including the hotkey for it (I believe it's F12 is the hotkey) It is also no longer in development but the latest is 0.173.
Excuse me ...... in 1998 I did my best time: 3'59 "50 Want to know the secret? Play with MT transmission and the red car. One hand on the steering wheel and one hand on the lever I'm from Rio de Janeiro - Brazil
It's because of the AVI recording from MAMEUIFX. It's reasonably slow during the recording process to ensure the encoding gets the frames properly. When the end result is finished, despite being a large-sized AVI file, it has smooth footage.
Oh god, that's visual sex, right there.
Best than Sega Rally

MikeifiedYoshi However i never used mameuifx. I'll check it out. What makes it different than normal mame.

MikeifiedYoshi does improve the performance of games in any way
kelvin santiago There's no performance changes that I know of, pretty sure they are the same as running with MAME.

I have a Ranking 1st🥇 for playing Dirt Dash.
If you're playing this on mame, how is this possible? I barely keep the fps up 30 let alone 60
