My dad passed 2 years ago, a few days before my 21st birthday, he loved to tell me to love myself selfishly and unapologetically. He was my best friend and I miss him constantly, this song is perfect. Give your lovely, smart daughters a big hug for someone who can't hug her own dad.

It’s been a year since my parents kicked me out and this song used to always make me cry thinking of what I could have had if they were better people, and now a year later it still makes me cry but a different kind of cry, I’m more whole now.
