I’m so happy to know I’m not the only amigurumi librarian around these parts. 🤩I’ll definitely try to do more about the good, the bad, and the mediocre books I have. I just love mine but I’ve also got to admit….I still buy lots of individual patterns too…shhhhh. 🤫 because even though it doesn’t seem possible….sometimes I just don’t always have “the right one”. 🤣😂💗

Really appreciate your input on amigurumi books. Please please include the ones you don’t like and why. They’re less common, but no one wants to end up with patterns that don’t work
Agreed. Thankfully, there are very few, but there are some that definitely aren’t my faves in some later videos after this one. Thanks for your input. ❤️😊
I really enjoyed your fun video. I love what I have seen of the Pica Pau books. I purchased them, and they will arrive next week. I can hardly wait to have them, and get started making Cosmo Snail. The books apparently have skill levels from beginner to advanced. At the beginning of the books, you can hold your phone up to the QC code, and magically see other crocheters’ creations. This is great, as I will get extra ideas about colour choices and how various yarn decisions create varying sized toys. Basically, what to do and not do, for myself. These will be my only Amigurumi books. I would also like to have “Lula and Her Amigurumi Friends” in my collection. Yes, please do a video on the books you do not recommend getting. That would be very helpful.

Love the book videos, but I love all your videos. I think the book reviews help me to find what I want. I have so many that I’ve purchased and once I get it, I find out if I am really happy or regretful about buying it. You help me decide before I buy. 😊

Lady, I have never heard of a person having that many amigurumi books! As long as they give u pleasure why not. I have too many cookboods, I enjoy sitting on the floor going through them. Oh you are too funny…gave me a laugh this morning 😂….. I recently started crocheting Amigurumi animals and did the “Sleepyhead Doll” this past Christmas for my great Granddaughters……. I don’t have not one Amigurumi book!!!!!!!! I’ve been watching RUclips and I did just purchase several PDF patterns for Dolls….haven’t started them yet…..just did a couple baby Chicks..and have a Chevron blanket in the works…well I’m rambling and I enjoyed your informative video….your sense of humor just had me subscribing!!!!!

I love the impkins book, I did a video about it, my only suggestion about her book is skip those, slip stitch and chain ones at end of each row, and check out Julie @ksmomcrochets…she has an alternative body pattern that I like better than what is in the book. If you make an impkin from the book you will understand why it’s kinda odd….😂☺️ thank you for being here!💕💕
@@therumimillcrochet I love my craft/art library. Don't care how many are digitized, paper books never need to be recharged. Megan's theory and how her mind works is all about each row is an indivdual stack; I prefer working in the spiral, don't personally care for the obvious line but I usually do the designer's pattern and learn it until I alter it for myself.

I loved this! I have the first book you showed and made the smiling flower for a granddaughter for last Christmas. I have a couple other granddaughters that like the food in that book but don't like the legs and arms on the food. 😅 I DO! 😂

I was REALLY trying not to buy more books. I tried something that I heard about which is just putting the book in your cart and then waiting to actually buy it. Or putting it on your Amazon wishlist to think about it. Well....neither of those ideas really works. It just makes me want the book more and then all I can think about is the book languishing in my cart. Poor thing! Then guess what happens?? Loved your video and your humor. What a very good thing to help us feel good. 😻
We must have heard similar things. That whole….waiting business….what sort of foolishness is that? I try hard to not push that little “add to cart” button but rarely do I not. Though I do try to keep new pre-orders in my wishlist….that’s only because I can’t get my hands on them yet. My motto, leave no book behind. 🤣😂. I think many of us crafters have that fear that we won't have time to finish those wonderful projects that are waiting until we have the time to get to them (of course, we keep adding to that list). My only wish is that when I get to heaven all those waiting projects will be waiting for me there!

Also, check out the app amigurumi today, their patterns are mostly very beginner friendly. Remember, nobody said on their death bed ever: I never got to make a kangaroo. They say I should've spent more time with my family. Make THAT your #1 goal.

Fall all the way down that rabbit hole 😉. I have the bug book signed by the author! I love it. It will be buried with me😉. I only like crochet bugs😅.

This is great, as I will get extra ideas about colour choices and how various yarn decisions create varying sized toys. Basically, what to do and not do, for myself. These will be my only Amigurumi books. I would also like to have “Lula and Her Amigurumi Friends” in my collection. Yes, please do a video on the books you do not recommend getting. That would be very helpful.

Lady, I have never heard of a person having that many amigurumi books! As long as they give u pleasure why not. I have too many cookboods, I enjoy sitting on the floor going through them. I love the impkins book, I did a video about it, my only suggestion about her book is skip those, slip stitch and chain ones at end of each row, and check out Julie @ksmomcrochets…she has an alternative body pattern that I like better than what is in the book. If you make an impkin from the book you will understand why it’s kinda odd….😂☺️ thank you for being here!💕💕

Megan's theory and how her mind works is all about each row is an indivdual stack; I prefer working in the spiral, don't personally care for the obvious line but I usually do the designer's pattern and learn it until I alter it for myself.

I was REALLY trying not to buy more books. I tried something that I heard about which is just putting the book in your cart and then waiting to actually buy it. Or putting it on your Amazon wishlist to think about it. Well....neither of those ideas really works. It just makes me want the book more and then all I can think about is the book languishing in my cart. Poor thing! Then guess what happens??

Welcome to the world of yarn and pattern book addictions!! It’s glorious! ♥️ And I can definitely help you with getting the “good” books. I have several videos out about my faves. I’ll be doing more soon. If you have a particular “like” let me know and I can give some specific books that are great in that realm. ☺️ Definitely check out the website amigurumi.com they put out some of the best books by some of the best designers. Also, check out the app amigurumi today, their patterns are mostly very beginner friendly. And lastly, check out the yarn manufacturers websites hobbii, yarnspirations, premiere, lovecrafts….they all have free patterns available ranging in all levels. I hope this helps some! Fall all the way down that rabbit hole 😉. I have the bug book signed by the author! I love it. It will be buried with me😉. I only like crochet bugs😅.
