Great video as always. One thing, you didn’t engage launch control. For the G80 (warmed up), it’s manual [CORRECTION: SEQUENTIAL] mode with drive logic at the max setting, and DSC off - it will shift for you even though it’s manual mode. Launch control can’t be done in drive mode. An indicator pops up on the display showing that you’re in launch mode. Try it! It’s a blast (literally).
Usually launch only works in the automatic mode, I didn’t see anything that said put it over to the “manual” setting. I looked everywhere on how to do it. Definitely a quick car.
Actually, the commenter is right. When launching, you should see a pop-up saying launch control is active and then release the break. It won't spin out when launching unless there's no grip. Look up how to launch a g80!
Manual shifting via the steering wheel paddles is called “sequential mode” in the user manual. Usually the car won’t upshift automatically and the gear selection is controlled by the driver in this mode. Yet during launch control, the car handles everything re shifts.
We have two every week. Lots of our content is the press cars we get. Not all are super high end performance cars like the M3. But we see a pretty wide variety
This has the carbon fiber bucket seats. They are more geared towards performance. Weight savings and body stability for fast driving. The comfort seats are available with those features but weigh more and don't have the same bolster support. So it's a trade off between a race inspired seat or a luxury seat. Porsche does the same things with there comfort vs bucket seats
launch control wasn't activated there. gotta turn off traction control first. The screen will tell you when launch control is active. You missed out on the actual rush
@@thestonemaroc and u don't know about the taycan turbo gt or lucid air sapphire 😂 oh u can't afford em so they don't count huh? Enjoy ur average joe tesla that no one cares about
Plaid isn’t a real car. It’s a rocket on wheels with zero “soul” and a really crappy one - I know - I have one. Squeaks and rattles just like a 50 yr old 747.
I have videos on those as well. RS7 and M5 have the same 0-60 as the M3, so they aren’t faster..but the M3 is also lighter and sources have stated 2.8 seconds which is still faster.. Why do you think it’s not based on those facts?
Best sports sedan ever !
Oh yeah!
Keep the M cars coming! Love the driving POV’s. Do you see yourself buying this car in the near future?
It’s definitely a cool car! Maybe, not a definite but could be in the future at some point.
This engine has more power than BMW claims. Supercar performance with daily driver practicality. That color is fire!
Yeah most BMW's put out more power then claimed. You can easily make 700 WHP with downpipe and a tune. S58 is impressive!
@@BrosFOURRSpeedhonestly not even needed lol
@@avqc954 Yeah it’s plenty fast stock!
The M3 is a beautiful car and a powerful winner.

I absolutely love the M3, fingers crossed for BMW to send us the M3 Touring with the next gen
The M5 touring is coming soon!
Loving the BMW content
We have more coming!
Brother loves him M, the other Brother loves his H!
Great to see both of you with huge smiles!
What’s “H”?
@ Honda. 😊
I’m surprised you guys don’t get more press cars. You certainly have enough subscribers. Fine job as usual..

Would you rahter go with this or new 992.2 base Carrera
Coupe vs sedan. Probably go M3! Since I already have a coupe.
@ well what if you didn’t have a coupe ? If it’s easier then 992.2 or m4
Carrera is better car and faster on a track, even base 992.1. I would get m3 as it is cheaper and 4 door
Can Alfa QF compete with this if it cheaper 15000 both new?
Those are very fun cars. But I'd say more on the level of the Audi RS3. M3 is top dog.
I wouldn't spec one to that cost if i was buying an M3 comp! That's a lot of options 😅
It’s a lot! The seats are a must though!
@BrosFOURRSpeed Just get a Porsche at that point!! Lol
@@speeddemonRS3 just depends on what the buyer wants. I’d rather have the M3 over a Panamera.
I was surprised there wasn’t an armrest in the back seat.
I know right! A 340 has one, but not this!
So wild.. 10 years ago an M3 Comp was half the price of this two ton thing.
10 years ago, everything was like that.
Lol agreed. Literally everything was half 10 years ago😂
Compared with Audi RS4 Avant, Mercedes AMG E63 S, & Tesla Model 3 Performance
Depends on what you want!

With BMW it seems like the more money you spend the less options they give you. No cooled seats got $110k is diabolical

Plus vent seats change the seat contours. I specifically ordered without.
$110,000 US??? Wow
They start in the $85K range, but this is fully loaded.
@@alberthall8706 buy it off lease!
They still hold a good value on the used market
i have a pre-LCI m3 comp and i only got a few upgrades (frozen paint, vent seats, phone charger) and it was 95k out the door.

Still quick regardless!
It’s comfortable, fast, overcomplicated, heavy and ugly. A perfect refection of the times we live in.
It's not overcomplicated, not heavy compared to other sedans, and looks are subjective. I'd take this all day! What would you buy instead?
It’s a work of art. Get over it! Ppl who hate, don’t got the $$$.
that matte paint looks so terrible. so cheap looking. Car is wicked fast tho
I’d disagree, looks so nice in person, very beautiful color for this car. Nothing cheap about it.
It is very hard to maintain in case it needs repaint
Fastest sedan? Does he know about the Model S Plaid? lol
Sure that’s a bit quicker to 60, but after that there’s no power. I’d rather have the M3.

Rs7 performance best quarter mile time 11.3 ... pre lci m3 xdrive got 11.0 on numerous channels. This new lci is easily a 10s car.
