Me too. My friend passed almost a year ago and that’s exactly how I feel. This song has gotten me through it.

Wow! I am an old dude who grew up listening to Joni Mitchel and Phoebe is amazing.
I'm taking my daughter to see Boygenius at Red Rocks in August so I've started listening to the three artists and to the music they've made together. I don't think I've ever heard a song quite so raw, so sad or so haunting as "Funeral." It brought me to tears, but I can't stop listening to it. What a talent.
blasting this song in full volume in my earphone while listening to it the first time as i head home at 7pm in pitched black road- i was trying so hard not to cry to it. cold winds hugging me and nothing but me and my melancholic thoughts and phoebe's angelic voice calms me. i never felt more than wanting to die at that time.
