Same here!! Diagnostics are saying fill valve and I know it is not that. Mine will spray intermittently and that was the confusing part. I did end up having to pull the main pump and clean it out (drain pump pulled in this video was fine). Thanks a lot!

Just bought a new whirlpool dishwasher in October of 2023 and after 2 months, it quit spraying. Water was coming in good and draining good. Warranty keeps rescheduling me out a week every week. 😅 Did everything else and thankfully I came across your video too...found this part all busted. 😡 will be replacing part 🤞 & 🙏
I have the same dishwasher. The problem is that it won’t start. I press the start button but nothing happens. The start button does blink a lil when I hold it but still nothing. Any idea what I should do?🌟

Bravo- i did a shortcut . filled it with hot water and use a shop vac to clean inbound and outbound water inlet and I put the shop vac on spinning arm out bound water and made the motor spin by sucking the water out. it worked thank you . I also reset the washer there is video for that here .

Just ran into this problem with, the same dishwasher, where the prayers werent spraying and after watching this video several times and hold and behold. I had a little piece of plastic stuck in the sprayer pump.. I took the sucker out and Boom 💥 problem fixed.. Thanks alot bud for uploading this tutorial video. Saved me hundreds of dollars.. I'm an idiot sandwich and this worked for me. Thanks for making it so easy. Even if it's a tiny bit dirty it's worth a shot. Mine just had a little film on it. But it's doing great now.
I did what this video instructed and am still the same. I cleaned out the spray arm, the filter, everything - still nothing. Just fills up the bottom, and then it stops. My dishwasher isn't even a year old yet.
Yup same thing man. My dishwasher is the exact same one as his. 3 yrs old but it just stops after a minute or so

Took me a little longer because I was trying to turn it clockwise (to the right) so I said, what the hell and turned it counter-clockwise (to the left) and it popped right off. 😁 Thank you for giving me the courage to try this. I'm also amazed at how little debris it took to screw this up. You saved me $300 on a service call and parts I probably would've been sold but didn't need. Again. Thanks.

I have almost the exact same model (except the front of mine is black) and it would fill up with water, the heating element would work because the inside was warm but it wouldn't spray water. I thought the board that controls it might be gone but everything lit up and it would fill up with water, so I figured that couldn't be the problem. I was seriously thinking about buying a new one until I found this video. Thank you, you just saved me and countless others hundreds of dollars. 🎉

Yeah, I would unplug it and turn off the water supply as well. Not a dumb question I totally get it.

Thank you! I assumed the tablets I used wasn't doing the job of cleaning the dishes. Then I started the same load again after realizing th 2nd tablet I put in didn't work. After a 3rd try, I realized that water wasn't going into the dishwasher at all. Thank you for teaching me something. It worked❤ And now, I must research how to fix a leaking refrigerator.

I ended up using Thrift drain cleaner to get rid of the gunk rather than taking the dishwasher out, but this video helped me figure out how it worked and what was wrong. Thank you, Sir!!!

When I turned back on there was water leaking from the pump part underneath - glad I left the kick plate off to check! Is the gasket between the magnet part and the pump supposed to be tight? I got it clicked back in but I'm wondering if maybe the gasket is shot...
Didn't have to replace the gasket - first time I reassembled there was no 'click' but everything seemed in place, it LOOKED like there was a seal.
Tried again but this time I disconnected power from the pump so I could put a little more muscle behind setting the pump back on before twisting into place (i.e. without worrying about funking up the wire) - this time it was much easier to "twist into place" when reassembling and there WAS an audible click. Running first cycle now - not a drop of water underneath 10 minutes in

I am having the same issue putting it back on. When I push it up into place so all 3 spots fit the gasket seems to get smushed and pushes out one of the edges. It’s driving me crazy. Washer only 2 months old.

My husband and I have been overwhelmed with work and life, so when our dishwasher quit working we thought we were going to have to buy a new one (usually my husband can figure out how to fix anything, but lately work is just absolutely wearing him out and there’s not enough hours in the day). my whirlpool quiet partner11 stopped spraying water at the top sprayer everything else working normal but no water coming out the spout that shoots through the top sprayer arm,3 weeks ago i did a filter clean and clean sprayers cleaned chopper it worked awesome and now this I have had my dishwasher for 11 years lol don't know were to turn at this point
Damn!! Sorry about that. I wonder if the line from the filter to the sprayer isn’t clogged. I haven’t done that fix but just an idea
I've had a service tech here twice. Told me I needed a whole bunch of new spinner parts. I told him I would rather just buy a new one. I happened to see this video and did exactly what you showed and found the sticker from a plastic plate plugging up the fan. Dishwasher

I have the same Whirpool dishwasher as shown in the video. The issue was that the dishwasher could normally fill in water (when started) and drain it (by pressing the cancel button) normally. But the spray arm cannot spin for washing. When checking the motor, I did not find any gunk. I still cleaned it and installed it back. The dishwasher works again!!! Thank you so much for your help.

Great video! This was exactly my problem. For me though, I didn't have anything stuck in the fan that I could see. I did noticed that it wasn't really spinning freely though, so I spun it manually back and forth until it started to spin around a few times on it's own. There must have been hair or something inside binding it up that I couldn't see. Now it works great - thanks again!
Thanks, I watched your vid 1st because it was short and to the point. Didn’t find anything significant in the impeller but washed out and reassembled. Worked like a champ! Free fix! QStack thing I did after was used a cleaner/ descaling pac👍🏻👍🏻

Dude this was it! $65 down the drain in parts and all along is was gummed up, and not even bad. Can’t believe a little debris caused total failure and it was such an easy fix! THANK YOU from a dad that’s been doing a LOT of dishes for the past six months
