Hey Josiah, you are the best narrator I have heard reading Neville Goddard’s materials. I never like to hear third persons try to read these sort of materials as I rather hear the original speaker. But, your pace is right, the pauses are very good and it’s also kind of you to repeat those sentences with a lot packed in, as it’s quite suitable hearing you say something twice since the mind tends to wander off - proof as to why us adults have mostly created a lot of nonsense to deal with on a daily basis. The depth of the truth that Neville elaborated non-stop makes me careful of what type of hand and mind out there might find it. I imagine such a person has no time for it, has so little faith they cannot believe it, it does not work for them and they can’t use it. There, I just fixed that!

Neville Goddard started his stage career as a dancer in an era when movies were silent. In his experience in theatre he would understand moving between imaginary states quickly. He would understand memorizing moves and lines and then learn new moves and lines. I love your reading of Neville’s works. I do have a question that would help clarify something - why is it that for negative things, we are able to imagine and evoke emotions in the blink of an eye but when we want to manifest something good, it takes so much work ? Can you please tell me if there is some key (apart from what I think is the answer - gratitude) that would aid us ? Why can we find rapid associations for our negative states and not the positive ones ? Thank you for taking your time to reply.
I suspect part of the reason is that we have created well worn neural pathways with years of negative thinking. Our inner conversations are very familiar to us and it is easy to keep repeating them. It is likely also that there is a chemical reward that occurs. What helped me was noticing the moments during the day when I felt energised and more emotionally stable. I then apply Neville's teaching as there is less resistance at these times.
