Another drawback that I was not expecting to have so soon, was failure of the keys. The rubber dome I believe is already beginning to stick on several keys but is never consistently doing it. I first purchased a year ago and already am experiencing this. I loved the RGB full view option, and how quiet the keyboard was that I even overlooked the cord and hot swappable options. Now I'm kicking myself. I'm looking now at Womier and others as my next buy with some mods in mind. Great video, straight to the point!
Personally I like them, I'm not a hard-core gamer who puts tons of hours in but I'm kinda heavy handed so I feel the membrane offers a cushion and I like the fact that it's quiet, I've gotten about 3 years of use from my magma before noticing any key issues but for $30 its a solid option IMO
Membrane can have a significant advantage, sometimes: lesser travel distance of a key, which means quicker and lighter input. But it's not easy to find decent membrane keyboard nowadays.
Long time no see brother. I agree, not sure why big time keyboard manufacturers like Roccat don't use detachable cables. Blows my mind, it's like whom ever they have working for them don't watch videos and locked in a room with only 80s stuff. Lol. Good to see ya making vids again man. Ohhh, would love to see ya do a gmmk2 vid. Cheers Fatal
@@CalebThornton forgot to mention, I do own the gmmk2 and love it myself, but I kinda bite at keyboard reviews. But hot swap oh my, the combinations are endless.
Manufacturers could easily fix their "bendy" kbs by adding a third foot in the middle. Unless that would be more expensive than making the board stiffer. In that case the user can easily find a fix for that.

I'm curious - do you reviewers keep all your boards or do you return them after making your reviews? 😅
Great to see you back Caleb!
Thanks, appreciate it!

Welcome back, bro! I hope you still got the bucks to review all of the new recent mice :D
Thanks! With how expensive most mice are now it might be a little difficult haha

Haha should be more videos soon! Happy to be back
Welcome back!
Thanks! :)
Have you guys used a membrane keyboard? If you have, do you like it?
Membrane is awful compared to a good mechanical in most situations. Membrane is only best for some travelling situations tbh
Yeah, I agree. Never been a fan of the membrane feel. The quietness is nice though.

Thanks Fatal! Nice to be back. I'll look into getting the GMMK2 for a review, I'd like to take a look at it as well.

@@Fatal_Error_Gaming Oh, nice! It looks really nice, glad you are enjoying it. I'll have to try it out for myself :)

How can I turn off the backlight on this keyboard?

Good idea. That would be an easy fix for when it is just sitting on your desk.
This is an office keyboard with rgb
Basically haha
Bought the keyboard and only using it for decoration ducky one 2 mini is better imo
I agree. I still love the Ducky Miya Pro I got a couple years ago!
