Beautiful boat! Agreed, probably the best production boat for cruising the med. I can already see myself island hoping in the Aegean in one. Lol The Slovenians really make nice boats. Thanks so much for sharing!
Totally agree with you, one of the USPs I have always admired with Elan is they still build their yachts to perform well under sail while giving us all the comfort we want in a cruiser.
We will have to wait to see what Elan is doing regarding new models, but we did get a look around two boats this January at BOOT Dusseldorf and we are looking forward to The Cannes boat show to see what they bring. I am happy you liked the tour, thank you for your comment.
I really dont know much about Elan and thus I have little to guide my expectations, but the fit and finish looks much better than I would expect. I'll have to try to see one in person. Nice review!
I have an Elan E5. Fit and finish is closer to Grand Soliel/ X-yachts than the production yacht groups like Hanse/Jeanneau etc etc. owned mine 5 years and been very very pleased with the build quality, service support and most importantly the sailing!!
@@tr5065 Totally agree with you, Elan is definitely on the high end when it comes to production sailboats. They perform well as you would know great boats and are a little jealous of your yacht.
@@tr5065 I might just take you up on that. We will be back in the UK this year looking at Spirit yachts and contessa, so if a blast on the water is going We will buy lunch and dinner.
Gin tonic is a very good choice on the tropics, against malaria. A must! :) Wow, now one can finally say he has the Porsche of the seas! Very nice boat, looks very well finished, the deck layout is - all the boat, actually - quite spacious. I found the dinghy garage more a "storage wet space" than a dinghy garage, specially because there's a ladder on the way and it's somewhat tight for a dinghy. It'd certainly need those "pillars" for the dinghy (ops, forgot its name...) Is that teak on the deck synthetic? I'd say it's bill is around 1 mil something €, right? A very stylish Med boat, for its internal and external space distribuition/design. For world sailing I believe a dedicated nav station would be a necessity.as a workshop space and big water and fuel tanks. Thanks for the video! see you on the next!
So if I want to drink lots of Gin I need to go back to Africa, well that going to be my excuse now anyway. Elan are great boats and when they collaborated with Porsche to design the interior of the GT it was a genius move. As you say these sailboats are in their element in the med or waters like that. Lots of fast champagne sailing. The deck was real teak but you can option for synthetic if you want. The price is around the 1 million mark yes.

Interior looks v welcoming, ? Hanging locker for wet weather gear - prob never going to sail in UK waters!

@@guyfender5267 I have seen a few in the Solent but it would be good to test one in the UK that would make a great video.

Great tour of a modern production yacht. Not exactly my style but very impressive.
Thank you happy you liked the tour.
