Same here i miss my 1st gen 4runner and LOVE my 4th gen 4runner and just came across a 93 SEV6 pretty clean needs some work but snatched it! Loving it so far. Also mine is the same color as yours with same bull bar and same issues like oil leaks,needs brakes and window trims coming off 😂
Ugh, yeah. The Toyota reliability blindness is a difficult thing to get past (Tundra/RAV4). In 2020, I finally broke down and bought a “classic” Jeep that I wanted when I was in high school. It’s still being worked on, now in its 5th independent shop, and it sucks sometimes. But, whether I went the same nostalgic route with a Rodeo/Passport, Pathfinder, 1st/2nd Gen Trooper, 2nd Gen 4Runner, Grand Cherokee ZJ, or 1st Gen Xterra, I’d still be sticking it out. All of them have their issues; some more than others. *Turns out, for me anyways, 1991 is a difficult year. RIP Trooper.
Can I ask how much you got for it? I'm just curious since I have basically the same vehicle, for when the time comes for me to sell it :)@@MrCaribu I scooped mine up at a great price from a family member.
Valve cover leaks, catailitic conveter go bad, they burn too much fuel. And also the timing belt must be replaced at 110 thousand miles or sooner. And the knock sensor is a beast to change. All of these are very expensive repairs. I don't recommend these vehicles if you are not a mechanic. I almost forgot, fuel injectors go bad too! And you must use GL4 OIL for the manual transmission and Nissan recommends to over fill it.
I bought mine from the first owner $1800 Done timing belt twice and injectors It runs like a champ. 207 k goes on road trips every other weekend. You’ll love it my man. You got a nice little rig
I’m not really worried about the expenses. This car is more cheaper than a Tesla. If one things go bad on this car the car can still start. One thing goes bad on a Tesla. You’re stuck in one spot.
I after getting used to these maintenance and keeping it up to par. Everything will work just fine. It looks beautiful and looks great as long as you love it and don’t drive it hard. Everything will be OK.

spray some wd40 on the tire carrier hinges and it will open with the wind. My brothers 95 was stuck, now you can open it with a hair

Petrol 1's are crap, only td27 d21's Terrano are the beasts, lil tractors they are i got 92 manual R²M 2door model and its lovin'dirt 😁
