    these channels are really great for educating homeowners as to the amount of thought, stress and effort that goes into this kind of work.
    it helps them understand better why they are paying what they are paying

    Very interesting explaining that transition in the driveway. Those steep slopes can be very challenging. You and your crew Tom are true professionals. Videos are great. Super job.

    That seal job did look like a fresh pour. Its good to see Elliot do what you said, almost exactly. The youngsters I deal with most always do what they think is right. Before learning. You have a great crew.

    Tom, two years ago I moved into a new house. The driveway is approximately 15 years old. I don't know if it was ever sealed since it was put in. Is it ever too late to start sealing to prevent further damage? Where is your sealer available at? I live in Southern Michigan. Love your videos.

      Better late than never Carroll Supply is a good place to start or check with your local Readymix supplier. Do not get it from a big box store.

    I wonder if there is a laser that could layout the cut lines for the concrete? Then you wouldn’t need to chalk line the concrete. Thinking out of the box. 😁

    Getting the jobs prepped is as important as the pour itself and you and the crew leave nothing to chance, the site is prepared and ready for concrete and the professional touch is evident on every job.

    Morning Tom,
    Do you find that most builders and or homeowners go with your suggestions when "tweaking" their layouts? I'm sure a few just have to be right in their eyes and say just leave it. 35 years of correcting ideas----most would just tell you to fix it😂😂

    How do you keep the rebar off the ground? We recently cut out a section of our drive to run new conduits, and when we did, we noticed the wire mesh was on the ground and not inside the conduit.

    On the slope, keep it tight!! The ripple or wave effect really does suck. I can prove that!! For decades i traveled a concrete road that joined 2 buildings w a shed in the middle. The ripples would shake the indoor forklifts so hard that the materials on the forks would bounce off the forks. Had to go granny speed the whole way. I hated that concrete!! Sure is nice to see a real professional do it correctly. What i experienced was a Total Failure!! Just a Total Failure!! Poured too wet and left to set wout tending it until it could stay smooth - a Total Failure!! Lol, i heard that the other day...Total Failure!! Oh how important it is to keep clean, salt free, and resealed every couple years. I just witnessed that truth right here. What did Tom say? "Looks like we just poured it!" There it is, the secret to keeping beautiful concrete beautiful for decades and decades. I did so enjoy today's video. Great stuff!! Thanks Tom and guys, and Emily!! See ya on the next post!!👍❤️🙏🇺🇲🇺🇲 A Total Failure it is, Total Failure!!😂

    • @arresthillary9502
      @arresthillary9502 4 месяца назад

      if the other guys keep the excess concrete out of his way, he is not pulling much weight.
      they are helping but not actually on the screed
      notice it is almost level before he ever screeds it.
