I hate on screen clutter Gim always in the top left corner annoyed me, if your not going to take part in an event you should be able to turn off the notification in options.

I like the interactive quests. Though I didn't like that you had to wait a week in-between. I'd prefer if you got it all at once and complete it when you wanted.
I would much prefer if they were downloadable scenarios, and there was a way to launch them in an active save if you wanted to. One thing that disappointed me about the RR event was that there was no reason for the active household to take part in it.
Fortunately for us, they have a track record of completely forgetting about and abandoning their events. Can't wait for this to meet the same fate as the Jasmine events, and the celebrity crossover event they tried with that Stranger Things girl, or that concert event they tried that one time.
Let's hope they abandon this as well. I was so relieved to finally see the grim icon gone this week and now they are already threatening with a new event. I just want a sandbox game where I can play what I want when I want. I hate quests on a timer. If they cared about simmers or wanted to reward us for being loyal for decades at this point, then they should have given us items as an SDX.
The events have been unbearable I honestly HATE them. Every time I load in its being shoved in my face, just let me play the game I want to. There should be a way to disable it in settings.
I literally didn’t even get to play reaper’s rewards at all bc it was broken entirely for me. And they didn’t do anything for the players who couldn’t do it. Rolling out another event right after that is frustrating to think about. Especially if it’s going to be the same kind of system. It’s likely it won’t work for those of us that reaper’s didn’t work for.
If no one said this, I was gunna. I couldn't finish week 3 and it seemed to be a common problem. Their solution didn't work for everyone and it involved game files, which the consoles players couldn't even attempt.
@@YashaHika It stopped working for me right in the middle of week 5, right before I could get the rewards I actually wanted. I had to buy PlayStation plus to upload my game's data to the cloud, then delete it from my system, redownload the game (without packs) and THEN be able to play the event on my 'new' sims 4 game pack-free with none of my old save files. Once I finished it, I then downloaded all of my data and packs back (which took forever) and continued on with my life. I had to pay money to finish this 'free' event, because it was the only solution I'd heard whispers about on forums, and I figured I'd give it a shot because there wasn't anything else I could do to fix it :/ And I'm one of the lucky ones, because this actually WORKED for me.
As far as I know, the problem was caused by making a bloody rental lot, and getting a sim to live in it. ._. That's the last thing I did before it stopped working, at least, and it was listed as a potential cause for people on PC
@@eva-charlottalisander841 tbh, the event pulled me away from the game. I did the quests and that was all. I have not updated my mods and kept them off to avoid bugs and all the hassle. I started building a cemetary but I cant bring myself to finish landscaping without TOOL. I havent touched my older saves so they dont break. I would rather they just gave us the items by sdx.

UMM NOOOOOOO I absolutely Hate these events. I don’t need to be led through annoying pop-ups every 3 to 5 business days while I’m playing my game it’s absolutely annoying and it makes me feel like a five-year-old. I definitely don’t think it should be mandatory. It should be something that you can turn off.

Yeah because the last one worked so great 🙄 many people were never able to complete the reapers rewards because it was bugged so I don’t feel excited about this. My event broke after 4 weeks and im not alone
Part of me does really like the idea of having events every month. But then part of me gets annoyed, trying to complete those events while also trying to do the story and then not being able to do both at the same time or having my game messed up and it not saving that I did the event or the event not even wanting to show up. Part of me hopes that this is just for holidays. Like we get one in January, February, April, and so on and so on but not every month.
If they can’t release them without problems FORGET IT!! My event stopped working after week 3!! I did everything recommended on console and even sent a ticket and NOTHING HAPPENED!! I lost all of that free garbage.
yup, and here they go about to release another one when they couldn't get the last one to work, and it wasn't just a few one-offs, lots of people could not get it to work and imissed out on the free stuff they are apparently not going to let us have??
since we got a halloween event with the reapers rewards and now we’re getting a christmas event with the cozy celebrations event, hopefully they do seasonal events instead of events every month but i wouldn’t mind that happening either tbh, more free items the better 🤭
I'd prefer that they not have limited time events. My preferred save is historical and cc heavy, and I didn't want the event interfering with my storyline. Basically I ended up not playing at all during reaper's rewards except to get the prizes. If EA's objective was to get people playing more... it backfired for me personally. I'd be interested to know if it got other people playing more though.
I literally removed my Sims 4 file and rebooted to get one purely for reapers rewards and just never put my other one back... I haven't been playing at all, it stressed me out to no end- especially when it stopped working and there wasn't an easy fix.
These events don’t work and aren’t fun to me. They get in the way of everything else I am trying to do. Not to mention they barely even work. They need to stop 🛑
I would be excited if the last events had functioned for me, after a few quests and rewards it was impossible to complete them. I like the concept, free content is always a win, but I wish it worked for everybody!
I wasn't able to complete the reapers reward event because of the time limit on social events. My Sims just couldn't do what the social event required fast enough and there were some bugs that stopped them. If they're going to make something based around a social event I'm going to be really upset if it has something that I want and I get screwed out of getting it because they put a timer on the social event instead of just letting you enjoy it and end it when you are ready to.
I LOVE the quests!!! We’re always fussing about how there’s no gameplay to keep us occupied so having the weekly quests is a great way to motivate players to come back and play on a regular basis
They'll get bored about them and forget about them just like they did with Jasmine and her events and the Millie Bobby Brown celebrity event collabs and then again with that concert thing.

At the very least they could give EVERYONE the rewards so that those who couldn’t finish can get their rewards but it doesn’t look like they’re going to do that either
these events are pointless and badly done this game isn't online multiplayer game, it's solo game and their 'rewards' are just undone leftovers and recolors
personally i'm annoyied at these event, i wish there was a way to opt out. they can break a lot of stuff and interfere with the gameplay you actually want to play. plus, the tasks with reaper's rewards, when they worked, were so boring....
Yeah see this is what bothers me about the even not working and them not fixing it so it would work for everyone, because they seemed to think that it was only those who kept their mods in their games that couldn't play the events, but you players on console can't use mods or cc, so it proves it wasn't anything to do with mods, but something to do it the event. I didn't get most of the items from the event, because it stopped showing tasks for me at the 3rd week, so I only got to complete the first 2 weeks, and I really wanted the Grim bike especially.
I'm sorry to hear yours didn’t work. I play on console, and mine worked even though it was still very glitchy, and I had to do the same tasks a few times until it was finally done. Also, the end was very anticlimactic. Okay, I have this ambrosia. Do I do anything with it? Nope, it's just over. Congratulations. 🎉
i really enjoy events like these in basically every game i play, i like completing things. but i feel like they're testing the waters now and will sadly introduce paid "battle passes" in the future... hope im wrong tho

I don’t mind interactive events but I hate that they didn’t bother to fix the reapers rewards being literally unplayable for so many people. Also I don’t mind limited time stuff for free but hope it doesn’t mean any really cool stuff like new traits become unattainable later on. I could see it being like free to play now but then the rewards get put in a buyable kit a year later or something.

I don't mind the events, IF THEY ACTUALLY WORK, but the Grim Rewards event didn't work, and they refused to even help anyone who asked for help on EA help on Twit or on Answers HQ, and when they did decide to fix something it was nothing, it was just the newsletter that people weren't getting that they fixed, not the fact that 1000s of people couldn't do the event, because the tasks weren't showing up. It stop showing up for me in the 3rd week, and yes I wasn't getting the newsletter either, but since the event itself wasn't showing up so I could play it, it didn't really matter that I couldn't get the newsletter. Well in any case, I am not going to bother with this new event, I mean with the last one I took out my mods folder to play it and even that didn't work, sure when I first started it did, even though I didn't get the newsletter during the 2 weeks it did work, but with the 3rd week it no longer worked. So I am not going to screw up my game again just for some thing that EA wants stick in the game to see if they can get Simmers to pay for some kind of battle pass type thing. Because you can bet that money is behind them pushing these events on us, even though they aren't popular, since the first two didn't work right, the last one being the worse one. This is why I really even more, wish Life By You had succeeded, because then I could have dumped The Sims 4 and EA, and leave this stupidness behind. And maybe not have to deal with game makers who care nothing for their customers like EA. Them not even answering someone messaging them on Twit through EA Help, which I found out recently happened to everyone who was having trouble with the Grim event, not just me. Frankly at this point I have to say I actually hate not only EA, but The Sims as a whole, and I used to love anything to do with The Sims, maybe not EA, but anything that was the Sims. But my starting to hate The Sims was started with The Sims 4, and now I think it's became full circle, complete, I just hate the whole thing, The Sims and EA! Oh and that does include their so called Gurus. I can't wait until Paralives comes out so I can just leave The Sims and EA in the rearview mirror. And no I am not buying InZoi for that, I still don't trust the game, with the hoops we had to jump through just to play the dang demo of the Character Studio, verifying codes, getting an account with their site, all of that, when it was just a temporary demo for a weekend. I mean it's one thing to do that when have bought the whole game, but not for just a demo, I have never had a game demo make me do stuff like that just to play their demo. Plus InZoi has practically had the game finished, were planning to release it by the end of the year, until players who were allowed to play it ahead of time, complained about the characters not being able to even talk to each other without standing up, they can't sit and talk, they can't do anything and talk apparently. They can only do one thing at a time. which seeing as The Sims 4 can multitask, even if it's a bit screwy at times, causing Sims to play musical chairs all the time, it's still better then them not being able to do anything at the same time. I mean even with at least the Sims 2 they would talk while eating at the table together, which is something InZoi characters can't do! But because people complained to them about it, seems to be the reason they delayed the game until March, but you would have thought they would have done that at the start of making the people and the gameplay with the people, so I have a feeling that game is going to be glitchy as heck, with them having to shove some multitasking into the game at the last minute.
while a lot of us didn't have any luck with the event, my guess is that EA still did very well by it or they wouldn't be having yet another one so soon, especially after not being able to fix the last one for a lot of us.
Please read I haven’t heard this take steadily. **** I hate quests, and unlock only rewards. I treat the sims like a Barbie/dollhouse collection. I work a lot and especially in certain seasons do not have time to take care of a home, a family, and religiously play. I wish there was an option to pay, I’d feel left out. As I have the last two. I got through reapers event half way… but I missing out on a lot. There should be an option for people who work two jobs, etc. I’m not a content creator my life is outside the sims. But I ESCAPE IN THE SIMS. ❤

I do like getting free stuff, and I don’t mind mixing things up with questing events occasionally, but I would really prefer they not do them so often. Once a quarter would be perfect for me. 😅
I like the events but I hate that you can miss out on them if you are not quick enough and if something's doesn't work during the event then you can't get the rewards later. They should have made a scenario of the event.
I'm not mad about the events, it does keep me playing at least once a week. It's just they've been bugged and I worry about having to constantly update my mods or have the game not working because of mods and cc conflicting with the event. We'll see..
I am not happy to hear about this at all. Reapers Rewards worked the first week for me, and I was unable to finish the rest. It was a big disappointment. I find it hard to get excited about another one.
I hate it. I hate fomo. I play to relax. I don't want the stress about whether I have time to play at a specific time. This has made me quit other games in the past.
I hope with this upcoming event we get new recipe like gingerbread or new outfit i cant really think of any christmas traits except jolly but know we already mistlitoe kiss but wait what if we get actual mistiltoe ours sim can hang
nah, i been having so much trouble for the reaper event. either i have too many mods or EA just dont know how to make it works. if the game getting more trouble to work like the last one, i would say i rather have these event and EA should just include these reward as part of the update, not giving by the barley functionnal game event feature
My biggest issue with these stupid quests things is how intrusive the ui is! It’s popping up every 5 seconds and often prevents me from seeing date/holiday goals or it switches back to the stupid quest. If the ui wasn’t such a pain in the ass I would be all on board. But instead it’s just obnoxious and intrusive to normal game play. I’ll just unlock this crap through mods tbh. Otherwise it’s a nice way to spend some game play time if you’re board and a lot of it is simple enough for some free stuff.
honesty hate this kind of stuff because it just gives me fomo-based stress. it MIGHT be okay if it wasn't for the game being broken, meaning even if i try it doesn't necessarily work, making things even worse for me!! 🙃
I like the events. I like that they're not asking for more money but rewarding us playing through things, just using what we have and not asking us to buy a new thing. I think that's fair and gives my sims something new to engage with so there's always something new to try
I like it being live mode interactive. I like that they're giving breathing room in between events even if it's just a few weeks. I just hope that this event works better than the last one because I'm not looking forward to fighting with the game for weeks again to play the event. They'll either keep this up and monetize it sometime next year or they'll forget about events and never do them again sometime next year.
I hate timed events because I hate stress. Having to play on their schedule is stress. They're ticking me off. 100% believe they will start charging money because they are money grubbing scum.

I personally like the Kits and these rewards. It gets me to play and get excited about the SIMs. I can't always afford the Packs, so the Kits keep me into the game. And I agree, I love rewards with these game ideas they (and other games) have.
Again, so soon. Yeah, no, if we get a new event so soon, I'm skipping. I wanna play my own stories, and holiday is not on the menu. I feel pigeonholed in storytelling when they do this. Sure, free items are lovely, but eh. Holiday gameplay is not my jam. I've been barraged with Christmas stuff since before Halloween, as my country does not have that buffer. So, no thanks; I am already over it. I want to play a sandbox game where I decide the storyline, not whatever storyline EA wants to push.
These events are here to train us into FOMO playing. I've seen it over 20 years with various online games of all sorts that had "seasonal events" and gacha took it to a new level.
I like the events. Yeah, i know these are somewhat time-limited, but to me i don't had problems in completing, even though my day to day life can be quite busy. I like it, i look forward to the new one.
My Grim icon has been gone since yesterday. It's cool with me to have these events but you're probably right about them using this to prime us for future paid content
I still cant play Reapers Rewards on Console. It hasnt worked since week 2!!!!!!! When I end up missing items because the Sims 4 team cant get their own game fixed it really really ticks me off. If I cant earn the items because of a glitch, those items should be made free to download. Im waiting to see if I lose out because of this Reaper Reward event. If im going to have an incomplete game, i might as well just stop buying every pack and kit even if the majority of items dont interest me. I just dont like getting the message that i have downloaded shared content from gallery and in missing items. Maybe its time to go back to Animal Crossing or that weird Disney building game or heck tis the season for cheap games maybe try something new!!!
I don’t really play I build, but I did enjoys the reaper event it made me play a bit more. So hopefully this one is as enjoyable and makes me want to play.
I didn't participate in the last rewards and the only reason I play the first one was cause I wanted the bin and the single tile bar. So if there is a items I want from the rewards event I will play but if there isn't I will just skip it. They need to make an option to either turn of the rewards in the settings or a way to make it so there isn't an ugly icon on screen at all times
It seems like they might make some events holiday themed so nxt yr we might get a valentines day theme, easter, st Patrick's day, etc. If this is a thing ea is gonna do I'd like a Veterans day event where u can get interesting metals for levels of the military u get to. Which now has me thinking about military rights given during funerals. Can u do something like that in the sims 4 now that we have the life and death expansion pack🤔
I agree that the quests and stuff are nice to have to complete but I hate that it’s limited time. Like scenarios those are fine EXCEPT for the limited time ones. (I mean they’ve kinda abandoned scenarios now anyways haven’t they) I’ve had a death in the family and I’m so stressed from a bunch of stuff. I wanna be able to take part on my terms in the game I payed money for. I don’t like being pressured to do a quest or thing. And who bets this is just a test to see if they can start charging for this? They wanna get us hooked on the free events to get us back in game and then they gonna be like “okay pay up to continue”

I love the holidays, and I have a lot to say about this game and videos. There should be holiday parades with marching bands, businesses, school clubs, singers, dancers, music, and an after-parade party where sims of all ages can visit Father Christmas for a photo opportunity, hot cocoa, holiday treats, sports, and other activities. In addition, there should be advent calendars that start on December 1st and end on December 25th with a prize for the Sim characters and Sim players, different style advent wreaths with candles that Sims can light. We should also have kids play the dreidel and other holiday games, cook food no matter what their cooking level is, or they can order from a store or place in town to be delivered or picked up by Sim(s). The food must be taken to the refrigerator or freezer before it goes bad, or flies and insects will hang around. The Sims can cook or bake the food item(s) depending on what the food is. I also think that there should be elves in the game around the holidays that check to see if the Sims are naughty or nice, then the elf will report to Father Christmas or Santa Claus. Sims may decorate their house with an elf or elves for the holidays. Sims should also be allowed to sleep with a stuffed animal(s) or doll(s) in their crib or bed if they want to. Hopefully, Sims will be able to turn while sleeping in bed. Sims should be able to hang up stockings on the fireplace mantle, hang them on the wall near the fireplace or Christmas tree, and put small gifts like fruit and candy inside. Sims may also put out their shoes, boots, or socks out to be filled with goodies if they don't have stockings. Happy Simming and Happy Holidays!
I wonder if this event will actually work. A lot of people, myself included, got locked out partway through the buggy mess that was Reaper's Rewards. It was never fixed, so I wasn't able to get past week 3. Honestly, given the track record of these things, I'm very skeptical.
Honestly, a Christmas event sounds fun and I was hoping for one when I heard of the grim event. Which looked absolutely cool and awesome, but because it’s only limited time like this one will be. Unfortunately players with a very busy schedule and or getting their computer repaired because they couldn’t play it. It’s making me dislike Sims more more feeling completely that the team is getting out of touch.

@em_011 you're kidding me. The family I made in anticipation of the event and pack was also the first one I used the for rent pack with.

For December, they should just do an advent calendar where they give something each day you log in but still give like at least a week to catch up.

Oh god I hope these stupid events stop, I’m playing a legacy game and I do NOT have time to participate in a new forced event every month ! I hope they forget about these events soon
Another event to interfer with my game, great. Sorry, I find these so interruptive and annoying. I hope they make these Opt-in and not FORCED. I was just enjoy being done with Reaper’s Rewards and that annoying icon being gone!!
Yeah because the last one worked so great 🙄 many people were never able to complete the reapers rewards because it was bugged so I don’t feel excited about this. My event broke after 4 weeks and im not alone
I enjoyed the Grim Reaper event. These are fun to me as long as they work. Spices up the game.
Part of me does really like the idea of having events every month. But then part of me gets annoyed, trying to complete those events while also trying to do the story and then not being able to do both at the same time or having my game messed up and it not saving that I did the event or the event not even wanting to show up. Part of me hopes that this is just for holidays. Like we get one in January, February, April, and so on and so on but not every month.
If they can’t release them without problems FORGET IT!! My event stopped working after week 3!! I did everything recommended on console and even sent a ticket and NOTHING HAPPENED!! I lost all of that free garbage.
yup, and here they go about to release another one when they couldn't get the last one to work, and it wasn't just a few one-offs, lots of people could not get it to work and imissed out on the free stuff they are apparently not going to let us have??
since we got a halloween event with the reapers rewards and now we’re getting a christmas event with the cozy celebrations event, hopefully they do seasonal events instead of events every month but i wouldn’t mind that happening either tbh, more free items the better 🤭
I'd prefer that they not have limited time events. My preferred save is historical and cc heavy, and I didn't want the event interfering with my storyline. Basically I ended up not playing at all during reaper's rewards except to get the prizes. If EA's objective was to get people playing more... it backfired for me personally. I'd be interested to know if it got other people playing more though.
I stopped playing my generation save as I didn't want the event corrupting my file. Spent too long on it to start again
I literally removed my Sims 4 file and rebooted to get one purely for reapers rewards and just never put my other one back... I haven't been playing at all, it stressed me out to no end- especially when it stopped working and there wasn't an easy fix.
I just made a new save to unlock the items then returned to my usual save once I completed it. I thought that was what everyone was doing lol
No, I created a Sim that I didn't care about just for the event so I could delete that save when it was over.

I would be excited if the last events had functioned for me, after a few quests and rewards it was impossible to complete them. I like the concept, free content is always a win, but I wish it worked for everybody!

I wasn't able to complete the reapers reward event because of the time limit on social events.
My Sims just couldn't do what the social event required fast enough and there were some bugs that stopped them.
If they're going to make something based around a social event I'm going to be really upset if it has something that I want and I get screwed out of getting it because they put a timer on the social event instead of just letting you enjoy it and end it when you are ready to.
I LOVE the quests!!! We’re always fussing about how there’s no gameplay to keep us occupied so having the weekly quests is a great way to motivate players to come back and play on a regular basis

personally i'm annoyied at these event, i wish there was a way to opt out. they can break a lot of stuff and interfere with the gameplay you actually want to play. plus, the tasks with reaper's rewards, when they worked, were so boring....

Yeah see this is what bothers me about the even not working and them not fixing it so it would work for everyone, because they seemed to think that it was only those who kept their mods in their games that couldn't play the events, but you players on console can't use mods or cc, so it proves it wasn't anything to do with mods, but something to do it the event. I didn't get most of the items from the event, because it stopped showing tasks for me at the 3rd week, so I only got to complete the first 2 weeks, and I really wanted the Grim bike especially.
I'm sorry to hear yours didn’t work. I play on console, and mine worked even though it was still very glitchy, and I had to do the same tasks a few times until it was finally done. Also, the end was very anticlimactic. Okay, I have this ambrosia. Do I do anything with it? Nope, it's just over. Congratulations. 🎉

i really enjoy events like these in basically every game i play, i like completing things. but i feel like they're testing the waters now and will sadly introduce paid "battle passes" in the future... hope im wrong tho

I don’t mind interactive events but I hate that they didn’t bother to fix the reapers rewards being literally unplayable for so many people.
Also I don’t mind limited time stuff for free but hope it doesn’t mean any really cool stuff like new traits become unattainable later on. I could see it being like free to play now but then the rewards get put in a buyable kit a year later or something.
I enjoyed doing the reaper event. So, doing events will make me play more than usual. I'm here for it.

I don't mind the events, IF THEY ACTUALLY WORK, but the Grim Rewards event didn't work, and they refused to even help anyone who asked for help on EA help on Twit or on Answers HQ, and when they did decide to fix something it was nothing, it was just the newsletter that people weren't getting that they fixed, not the fact that 1000s of people couldn't do the event, because the tasks weren't showing up. It stop showing up for me in the 3rd week, and yes I wasn't getting the newsletter either, but since the event itself wasn't showing up so I could play it, it didn't really matter that I couldn't get the newsletter.
Well in any case, I am not going to bother with this new event, I mean with the last one I took out my mods folder to play it and even that didn't work, sure when I first started it did, even though I didn't get the newsletter during the 2 weeks it did work, but with the 3rd week it no longer worked. So I am not going to screw up my game again just for some thing that EA wants stick in the game to see if they can get Simmers to pay for some kind of battle pass type thing. Because you can bet that money is behind them pushing these events on us, even though they aren't popular, since the first two didn't work right, the last one being the worse one.
This is why I really even more, wish Life By You had succeeded, because then I could have dumped The Sims 4 and EA, and leave this stupidness behind. And maybe not have to deal with game makers who care nothing for their customers like EA. Them not even answering someone messaging them on Twit through EA Help, which I found out recently happened to everyone who was having trouble with the Grim event, not just me.
Frankly at this point I have to say I actually hate not only EA, but The Sims as a whole, and I used to love anything to do with The Sims, maybe not EA, but anything that was the Sims. But my starting to hate The Sims was started with The Sims 4, and now I think it's became full circle, complete, I just hate the whole thing, The Sims and EA! Oh and that does include their so called Gurus.
I can't wait until Paralives comes out so I can just leave The Sims and EA in the rearview mirror. And no I am not buying InZoi for that, I still don't trust the game, with the hoops we had to jump through just to play the dang demo of the Character Studio, verifying codes, getting an account with their site, all of that, when it was just a temporary demo for a weekend. I mean it's one thing to do that when have bought the whole game, but not for just a demo, I have never had a game demo make me do stuff like that just to play their demo.
Plus InZoi has practically had the game finished, were planning to release it by the end of the year, until players who were allowed to play it ahead of time, complained about the characters not being able to even talk to each other without standing up, they can't sit and talk, they can't do anything and talk apparently. They can only do one thing at a time. which seeing as The Sims 4 can multitask, even if it's a bit screwy at times, causing Sims to play musical chairs all the time, it's still better then them not being able to do anything at the same time.
I mean even with at least the Sims 2 they would talk while eating at the table together, which is something InZoi characters can't do! But because people complained to them about it, seems to be the reason they delayed the game until March, but you would have thought they would have done that at the start of making the people and the gameplay with the people, so I have a feeling that game is going to be glitchy as heck, with them having to shove some multitasking into the game at the last minute.
EA should focus on Scenarios as well. it's the only other thing that helps motivate most players to even start up the game.
while a lot of us didn't have any luck with the event, my guess is that EA still did very well by it or they wouldn't be having yet another one so soon, especially after not being able to fix the last one for a lot of us.
I wish they could give you a discount for bulk buying kits. I have all but a few kits.

I hate quests, and unlock only rewards. I treat the sims like a Barbie/dollhouse collection.
I work a lot and especially in certain seasons do not have time to take care of a home, a family, and religiously play.
I wish there was an option to pay, I’d feel left out. As I have the last two. I got through reapers event half way… but I missing out on a lot.
There should be an option for people who work two jobs, etc. I’m not a content creator my life is outside the sims. But I ESCAPE IN THE SIMS. ❤

Lately I find myself going in and completing the quest and then not playing until the next one.
I do like getting free stuff, and I don’t mind mixing things up with questing events occasionally, but I would really prefer they not do them so often. Once a quarter would be perfect for me. 😅

I like the events but I hate that you can miss out on them if you are not quick enough and if something's doesn't work during the event then you can't get the rewards later. They should have made a scenario of the event.
I'm not mad about the events, it does keep me playing at least once a week. It's just they've been bugged and I worry about having to constantly update my mods or have the game not working because of mods and cc conflicting with the event. We'll see..
I actually enjoyed the reaper event. It worked for me without problems. And as long the new event is free I don't have a problem with it.

I am not happy to hear about this at all. Reapers Rewards worked the first week for me, and I was unable to finish the rest. It was a big disappointment. I find it hard to get excited about another one.

It would be alright if the icon disappeared after you complete each week, but that icon really bothers me.

nah, i been having so much trouble for the reaper event. either i have too many mods or EA just dont know how to make it works. if the game getting more trouble to work like the last one, i would say i rather have these event and EA should just include these reward as part of the update, not giving by the barley functionnal game event feature

My biggest issue with these stupid quests things is how intrusive the ui is! It’s popping up every 5 seconds and often prevents me from seeing date/holiday goals or it switches back to the stupid quest. If the ui wasn’t such a pain in the ass I would be all on board. But instead it’s just obnoxious and intrusive to normal game play. I’ll just unlock this crap through mods tbh. Otherwise it’s a nice way to spend some game play time if you’re board and a lot of it is simple enough for some free stuff.
If they're going to keep doing this they'd better make sure the event actually works or don't bother.

I like the events. I like that they're not asking for more money but rewarding us playing through things, just using what we have and not asking us to buy a new thing. I think that's fair and gives my sims something new to engage with so there's always something new to try
I like it being live mode interactive. I like that they're giving breathing room in between events even if it's just a few weeks. I just hope that this event works better than the last one because I'm not looking forward to fighting with the game for weeks again to play the event. They'll either keep this up and monetize it sometime next year or they'll forget about events and never do them again sometime next year.

I personally like the Kits and these rewards. It gets me to play and get excited about the SIMs. I can't always afford the Packs, so the Kits keep me into the game. And I agree, I love rewards with these game ideas they (and other games) have.

These events are here to train us into FOMO playing. I've seen it over 20 years with various online games of all sorts that had "seasonal events" and gacha took it to a new level.
I like the events. Yeah, i know these are somewhat time-limited, but to me i don't had problems in completing, even though my day to day life can be quite busy. I like it, i look forward to the new one.
My Grim icon has been gone since yesterday. It's cool with me to have these events but you're probably right about them using this to prime us for future paid content

I still cant play Reapers Rewards on Console. It hasnt worked since week 2!!!!!!! When I end up missing items because the Sims 4 team cant get their own game fixed it really really ticks me off. If I cant earn the items because of a glitch, those items should be made free to download. Im waiting to see if I lose out because of this Reaper Reward event. If im going to have an incomplete game, i might as well just stop buying every pack and kit even if the majority of items dont interest me. I just dont like getting the message that i have downloaded shared content from gallery and in missing items. Maybe its time to go back to Animal Crossing or that weird Disney building game or heck tis the season for cheap games maybe try something new!!!

I didn't participate in the last rewards and the only reason I play the first one was cause I wanted the bin and the single tile bar. So if there is a items I want from the rewards event I will play but if there isn't I will just skip it. They need to make an option to either turn of the rewards in the settings or a way to make it so there isn't an ugly icon on screen at all times
It seems like they might make some events holiday themed so nxt yr we might get a valentines day theme, easter, st Patrick's day, etc. If this is a thing ea is gonna do I'd like a Veterans day event where u can get interesting metals for levels of the military u get to. Which now has me thinking about military rights given during funerals. Can u do something like that in the sims 4 now that we have the life and death expansion pack🤔
I agree that the quests and stuff are nice to have to complete but I hate that it’s limited time. Like scenarios those are fine EXCEPT for the limited time ones. (I mean they’ve kinda abandoned scenarios now anyways haven’t they) I’ve had a death in the family and I’m so stressed from a bunch of stuff. I wanna be able to take part on my terms in the game I payed money for. I don’t like being pressured to do a quest or thing. And who bets this is just a test to see if they can start charging for this? They wanna get us hooked on the free events to get us back in game and then they gonna be like “okay pay up to continue”

I love the holidays, and I have a lot to say about this game and videos. There should be holiday parades with marching bands, businesses, school clubs, singers, dancers, music, and an after-parade party where sims of all ages can visit Father Christmas for a photo opportunity, hot cocoa, holiday treats, sports, and other activities. In addition, there should be advent calendars that start on December 1st and end on December 25th with a prize for the Sim characters and Sim players, different style advent wreaths with candles that Sims can light.
We should also have kids play the dreidel and other holiday games, cook food no matter what their cooking level is, or they can order from a store or place in town to be delivered or picked up by Sim(s). The food must be taken to the refrigerator or freezer before it goes bad, or flies and insects will hang around. The Sims can cook or bake the food item(s) depending on what the food is.
I also think that there should be elves in the game around the holidays that check to see if the Sims are naughty or nice, then the elf will report to Father Christmas or Santa Claus. Sims may decorate their house with an elf or elves for the holidays. Sims should also be allowed to sleep with a stuffed animal(s) or doll(s) in their crib or bed if they want to. Hopefully, Sims will be able to turn while sleeping in bed. Sims should be able to hang up stockings on the fireplace mantle, hang them on the wall near the fireplace or Christmas tree, and put small gifts like fruit and candy inside. Sims may also put out their shoes, boots, or socks out to be filled with goodies if they don't have stockings. Happy Simming and Happy Holidays!
I wonder if this event will actually work. A lot of people, myself included, got locked out partway through the buggy mess that was Reaper's Rewards. It was never fixed, so I wasn't able to get past week 3. Honestly, given the track record of these things, I'm very skeptical.

Honestly, a Christmas event sounds fun and I was hoping for one when I heard of the grim event. Which looked absolutely cool and awesome, but because it’s only limited time like this one will be. Unfortunately players with a very busy schedule and or getting their computer repaired because they couldn’t play it. It’s making me dislike Sims more more feeling completely that the team is getting out of touch.
