nice upload! i watched the movie about a 100 times....... after i watched it the first time, i wanted to be a cameraman. the camerawork on this movie is superb........
I have a theory that the entire movie is Rusty James' fevered death dream.... During the brawl, it's apparent that Biff gave Rusty James a lethal slash with that window pane across the abdomen area....
They rigged Matt Dillon on a special structure that lifts him off a crane. He couldn't move so a stage hand had to give him puffs during cigarette breaks.
He didn't die. He had what is known as a near death experience. Also the person who wrote the script with Francis Ford Coppola was none other than S.E. Hinton herself. Meaning any changes that weren't her idea had to be approved by her.
A toast to Francis Ford, a very cool dude.
Loved this movie growing up. Such a classic. Loved Matt Dillion and Mickey Rourke. Still do. Legends

I was 1 year old when you wrote this...

Incredible music score to this scene. Stewart Copeland KILLS it.

In the book, it's a memory being recollected and narrated over.
There’s a theory that Steve doesn’t actually exist.

@5:52 - it explains everything

Why does he have to die here and in the outsiders >:(
Wait. Did he die in Rumble Fish?
TheBubblyBear no he actually lives in this one
no he didnt die in ruble fish dude just got a concussion and was seriosuly injured
In the book, he doesn't die when him and Steve are attacked. Since when does Rusty-James die?
