  • Route One in association with Mighty Healthy present: Gino Iannucci - The R1 Interview Pt.1
On a freezing cold afternoon in late January Route One met up with Gino Iannucci, at Arturo's Pizza in downtown New York, to shoot the cover story for the Route One Magazine S/S15.
In part one Gino talks about leaving Chocolate for FA, skating for Lucero at Black Label & Natas at 101, his legendary back heel over the Gonz gap at EMB, his early days skating in California and his new signature collection for Mighty Healthy.
Tune in to part two for Gino's memories of Keenan Milton, how Los Angeles can make or break skaters, filming for his legendary "Yeah Right" video part, his music tastes and how skateboarding has come full circle.

Crazy I had thought the same thing.. Wondering if the day Gino "runs" into Dill in supreme was the day they talked about getting something going for Gino with FA.

That song was in the 101 section from a video by World Industries in 1994 or 1995 called "20 Shot Sequence". Check it out.

These interviews are boring. Why don't you ask about something more relevant? Once you've watched one of his interviews you've pretty much seen them all. How many times does Gino need to recap his skate career?

For real man. Why can't they be more about how they think instead of what they've done.. at least then maybe you can understand why they did what they did haha

How many times you ask? Just as many as needs to in order to keep the Nike/Addidas cheques coming, without him actually have to get off his ass and do anything. Fair enough he did great things in his early years but this guy has spent 30 years resting on his laurels.
