    It can, but it's really difficult to prevent it from writing purple/flowery prose.
    Personally I had to create two prompts
    1. Tell it what to write
    2. Tell it to rephrase and remove specific styles of writing in the process

      I totally agree with you.
      I'm working on a method to limit the AI-isms in Claude's responses by making some tweaks to the beat completion prompts and using something in Codex, but I'm not quite ready to share it just yet.

    Thank you so much for putting together this vid--very useful for a newbie. I wondered if you ever got the prompts from Mira Gold to work correctly in novel crafter with Claude? I was really wanting to get them and try, but if they aren't working I'm not sure I have the skills yet to understand how to adjust them properly. I am so glad to have found your channel and looking forward to following you and learning. Thank you again.

      I reached out to Mira Gold and she gave me the following fix: Add the part in parenthesis below to your prompt.
      "Write out the following story concept synopsis (fill in all bracketed information with real-time story content). Please generate in a NON-JSON format:"

    Hello. I was testing Claude 3 opus, it is very smart, I gave him a fanfiction story called “the crown of summer court” anyway it is an amazing story that is also mature and has a gay sex scene, he analyses it all and liked the story very much, I started a dialog with him where I explained I was an adult and consented to this type of material, I explained it is ok in my country and harmless sex, he first said he could only write a story up to R rating but after I explained all that he understood thanked me and changed stances to NC17 rating, then I asked him to write a gay sex scene from the story and he did ! He actually described a very passionate sex scene full of emotion and character. I am impressed.

      @@ByteSizedBooksmith Howdy Back! Yeah, I tried it with a beat first and it kept giving me a short (kinda crappily written) scene. I tried it in chat but it didn't seem to be referring to the Codex all that well. I'm new to NC. Using it mostly for the cool codex aspects. As a SciFi author, it gets crazy tuff keeping track of all those aliens, and spaceships... :-) Well-aware AI's offer limited text responses, but Anthropic usually is better about that...

    • @ByteSizedBooksmith
      @ByteSizedBooksmith  6 месяцев назад

      @@markwaynemcginnis2461 I feel you on SciFi. Here are my first few thoughts, considering I can't see what you're doing...
      1) Are you referencing anything in the Codex from your scene beat?
      2) How long is your scene beat?
      3) What is your "Max Tokens" setting for Opus (under Prompts > Scene Beat Completion)?
      4) If referencing the Codex and strengthening your first beat doesn't help, try writing your first two beats the old-fashioned way (gasp! I know) and see if it continues with the third beat in your style.

    • @markwaynemcginnis2461
      @markwaynemcginnis2461 6 месяцев назад +1

      Great suggestions! My Opus was set at 4000 which (I think) is pretty large. But I did just discover that when writing a 'scene beat' the description I put in counts as tokens too -- yikes - I'd put in a super long and detailed bunch of text there - so I'm guessing that's my problem.

    • @ByteSizedBooksmith
      @ByteSizedBooksmith  6 месяцев назад

      @markwaynemcginnis2461 Gotcha. That might be it. My recommendation would be to test any changes in Sonnet until you're happy with the output there. Then try Opus again.
      And it keeps giving you a hard time, tag me in the Novelcrafter Discord and we can start a thread to hash it out!

    The content it produced is dull... overwritten, purple prose. Typical of AI. Claude 2.0 still better than this, but as always - hours of human rewriting/editing to get finished text.
