The three vocals here in the video are the goddess and the rappers are the warriors. There are tiny little scenes in the video that are really hard to see. I like your reactions, subbed here. XG got to my ears through random playlists on Spotify while on the train (good algorithm, good Spotify!) It was Howling, so yeah, that opened a new direction in my Kpop rabbit hole. I have no idea what recommendations you received so far, but what got me (back) into Kpop was Gidle - (back in another life -aka before Covid- I kinda got into BTS for like a month, but nothing else). If there's a side of you kinda into social messages and generally deeper messages in songs, Gidle has some interesting stuff (what's also cool about them is that they're mostly self produced, with their Leader being the main 'actor' in that sense). So yeah, if you wanna add something else to the list (or bump something already recommended), look into (G)I-DLE and, of course, the kings of Kpop , BTS.
You’ve definitely been missing out if you’re not up on XG, as they just finished their first world tour and are literally the most talented young gg in music right now (no disrespect to other gg’s). 7 members, all have main vocalist vocals, 4 main rappers who are world class (even JID gave props to Cocona for her cover of Surround Sound). They use a lot of anime and Japanese culture for inspiration and for Howling Jurin is San (Princess Mononoke) and Harvey is Deer God/Nightwalker, who has the ability to heal and replenishes the earth with each step. There are many other cultural references (MJ, Matrix, Hunger Games etc) in this and all their music and videos
