Hello Melody! Hope to see you again this upcoming winter in Florida!
We love Alafia River State Park. Sites 1-12 are Equestrian sites. Folks often camp there WITH their horses. Site #4 is the best. We love it there.

Thanks for sharing, don't remember seeing many half moon sites at Florida parks.

Love Alafia. The bike trails are fantastic there. There are some easier trails but they get very sandy in the dry season. For anyone really into mountain biking, there is also Balm Boyette mountain biking trails about 10 mins up the road from Alafia. Also built on old phosphate pits. Balm boyette has a lot more easy trails than Alafia, but you do need proper mountain bikes on the easy trails due to the sand and occasional rooty sections.

Looks like there is a lot to do there for sure. Nice to have a bike shop right on the property. Our son Cameron would love that place and would be using that ramp. Those are some interesting looking comfy camp tents. Florida sure has some beautiful campgrounds with lovely water features. Boon was a cutie. Enjoyed the tour. Thank you for sharing. Mary 💞 Fred

You can't go wrong with Big Meadows Campground in Shenendoah National Park. We did a series of videos on this area and there is so much to explore you'd only scratch the surface during a week long stay. It is dry camping. Details are in our video. If interested, also watch our video on Skyline Drive in the same park. Lou

But God Bless you all amd thank you for all these videos alot of people don't realize just how much work and time that goes into the kind of content you are putting out ! And I can't thank you enough . Safe travels my friend and enjoy it ! ❤️

@@davenstorm7271 Shenandoah River State Park is a VA state park that is near the Shenandoah National Park. It is a great park with lots of places for big rigs with water and electric hookups. James River is another good one (although more in Central VA). Honestly, any of the VA state parks are great, although some are older so not for bigger rigs. First Landing State Park is another good one that is right on the Chesapeake Bay near VA Beach. Most of the VA state parks with RV sites have at least some sites with electric and water at the site.

@gerricole1598 Thank you for the great info ! I'll Def check those all out . I'm mainly looking for national forest campgrounds and COE campgrounds so I can get 50% off with the senior card . I don't think that any of the state parks will give the 50% discount for seniors will they ?

@@davenstorm7271 No they don't but there are alot of COE campgrounds around Kerr Lake (aka Buggs Lake) on the border of VA/ NC. We stayed at one, but I will have to look the name up. You can get a spot right on the lake, some even with their own private little beaches. There are like 4 in VA and a couple in NC. Also Sherando Lake Recreation area is one of my favorite campgrounds - that is a National Forest campgrounds. They have electric at the site, no water, but a place to fill your fresh water.
