Plebs are needed! I can still hear the voice over from Caesar yelling at me lol can’t wait to play this
This reminds me Zeus - Master of Olympus so much. One of my favorite games of all time.
was gonna say the exact same thing
Oh man, this really hits the Caesar 3 nostalgia. Wishlisted.
13:05 "New Cycle" has sort of similar for mines and oil wells, but far shorter range and only when in range does it show up. I think "Ostriv" also shows lines to where the actual resources are located.
Did not expect Zeus to Macho Man Randy Savage down to the Earth like that...
I played Caesar3 during my childhood, and i find it more fun than Caesar4.
This game made me feel a bit like i was back in my childhood.
Planets have their names from the Roman mythology, not the opposite. The satellites orbiting them are named after their relatives (Jupiter's satellites: Europe, Io, Ganymede etc are named from Zeus's lovers (yeah from the greek mythology x)... ))
The caduceus 13:48 was the cane Hermes used to travel. Since he was the god of all travelers and all things that travels (from goods, to rumors, secrets and souls), he eventually got associated with doctors and herbalists as well and pharmacists later took this symbol from him to make it their own :)
Looks like Caesar! I'd play it for sure!
The staff of hermes (caduceus - staff with two snakes and two wings) is used for medicine because the us education system is a joke and they kept confusing it for the Rod of Asclepius (only one snake and no wings and the actual symbol for medicine) in their emblems and patches for (among others) military Organisation. This error just continued on as those very iconic patches were coppied and used as inspiration for other iconography (i.e. Starfleet Medical in Star Trek which makes the same mistake).
This is literally Caesar lol
With the current state of gaming, I would say that is a good thing.
I’ve got probably a thousand hours in Caesar. It’s weird that companies cannot seem to take the success of a title like that and basically just imitate it with modern tech and kick back and collect cash. I don’t get it.

@@BigDiamondGames it doesn’t have to be a corporate behemoth to take advantage of the dynamics I mentioned. A random Indy developer with a small team could make it happen pretty easily by simply understanding the issues we’re discussing. There’s a whole market that would love to reward them for their efforts.

Very much like the old sierra series however with more cool features
It definitely would be awesome to have a walk around mode
LOL moment - thinking that they named 'gods' after planets when the planets were named after god's - funny way to show the septics odd way of thinking about the world 😁
My only complaint about this is that the tree graphic is fuzzy as fuck and there's no option to fix it
Those battles look like the old game Centurion :o
just like Stronghold
Looks promising.
this is a game for me
what is the difference exactly?
the symbol is the Rod of Asclepius and is the symbol you mentioned on DR offices. Its the symbol of Aesculapius who was the so called greek god of healing
"Actually" moment: the game in fact uses (erroneously) the Caduceus, or the Rod of Hermes, messenger of the Gods. It was generally associated with commerce, travel, and rhethoric, not medicine. The Rod of Asclepius, the actual symbol of medicine, has no wings and a single serpent. The reason why the Caduceus ended up on doctors' offices rather than the post service is a 'Murika! moment: in 1902 the army medical corps were formed, and they chose the wrong symbol for it; it's not entirely clear why. Fun fact, the Caduceous already had an history of being used in medicine, but only by quack doctors and snake oil sellers, while the correct one was widely used by proper American doctors up to that point.
@@captainufo4587 rod of hermes had wings not snakes
@@bigbang4221 Nope:

finaly an evolution on the classics kinda got tired of all the clones that popped up in the last few years that pretty much added no new mechanics
Imperium romanum clone pc 2008
47:24 i dont understand whats going on, well lets start taxing people
CAESAR VI but strangely, not as good looking for a modern game O_o
It seems like a Caesar IV instead
Imperium romanum pc 2008
looks like a 2nd rate mobile game
you have never heard of Caesar?
@@AcaCZV he's to young for that😆
Citadelum sure looks interesting, especially with the autobattler format for combat.
