Thanks Anna. Two videos in one day, made my day. I love prepping my wool projects and I keep all of the scraps also. Buying a kit is so much smarter. Thanks to you and G for bringing us such wonderful videos.
Thx a lot! You have made me want to get back into cross-stitch!!! Drooled all over ebay this am. LOL. Plan to make some project bags, too. Love those!! Honestly, thx.
I agree, Sue Spargo has really broadened my world of stitching. I’ve learned so many beautiful stitches from her. And yes, I don’t look at wool stitching patterns the same way - I use my own instincts and stitchy knowledge to make a project my own.
Love the way you do things. That is the way I do. Went to the pillow site. $75 for one pillow. Going to just use my little dog that likes to sit behind me. She is warm and wiggles. She works for treats.
You have inspired me so so much. I’m working on Buttermilk Basin’s Crows Harvest pillow, and some project bags to put all my projects in! Thank you Anna!
I have been so INSPIRED by the amount of projects you get done. I am a Buttermilk Basin NUT due to your tutorials. After Kathy Schmitz Eastmoreland, I am going to get back to the Buttermilk Basin Vintage Trucks, so I can finally make my first full-sized Wool Quilt. Thanks, Anna and G :)
Thank you for the encouraging words, Anna. Neither of my quilts won at the show last weekend but they did offer evaluations. They were right. So I learned a little more about quilting and shows. I didn't realize that the outside corners of a quilt have to be 90 degrees. I couldn't push it out anymore though. Next year, one of my quilts is going to be round. LOL. Crater Lake is on my bucket list.
I worked on my East Moreland while I enjoyed your video. I took a lot of liberties with the pattern. I added a dog house and a church. I plan to add a puppy. Thanks for keeping me company while I fused all my buildings.
that looks so fun - I wish I was there sitting across the table. I mean I appreciate you keeping me company as I stitch, but I wish I was sitting there with you, drinking iced tea and enjoying the desert with you.
Thanks Anna I have wanted to try wool appliqué but I don’t have much embroidery skills, I’m still learning cross stitching, but wool is really beautiful. I really want to try a small project sometime. 🤓
Thank you for sharing your process. My first go with Soft Fuse and steam didn’t go well..either too much steam, or i left the iron in one place too long. The edges flattened out and started fraying 😳. I will keep trying! Have fun at your felting class!
Anna - Thanks for a great video. I love everything you do. I was visiting family in northern MN last week and made a stop at Buttermilk Basin! Your Woolstock video inspired me so much - I just had to stop and check out the store for myself. Amazing store! Just when you think you saw it all - surprise - another room! Spent a lot - have plenty of projects to work on now. I am also working on Home Sweet Home from BB today. I agree - Stacey West is amazing. I volunteered at a local quilt show on Saturday - I was a white glove lady! As I walked and looked at the quilts I was stopped in my tracks when I saw my very first...……….Sue Spargo! Wow! I totally understand your love for the stitching! Thank you for the great quilting videos. You have taught me so much.
I absolutely enjoy your videos, and appreciate what you do for others. You are my blessing today for sure. Have fun up at Old World, I was overwhelmed the first visit there, as I am new to the embroidery arts. But a little at a time. Maybe by the time I am 80 I will be further along. Gives me ten good years for sure!! Lol
I had a similar pillow for years but my husband get taking it. It has finally pooped out after all these years. The wires came out of where they came from. I have probably had it 15-20 years. I really don't remember. So glad someone is now making them.
I love you too Anna. Watched your Stitch Roadie you tube this morning. Now I must get busy with a quilt putting in a quilt show my guild is having first part of April. Thanks friend.
I love Buttermilk Basin too. I prep like you and I back my background fabric with SF101 too, thanks to you. 😊 I’m doing Home Sweet Home “Mystery” Block of the Month. I’m ready for block #3.
I especially love the part where you talk, hiding behind the paper...lol... that is sooooo something I would do!! Miss ya already! Be safe and hope to see you soon!
Hooray! I got two Anna videos today! I can never get enough! Be safe on your travels and can’t wait to see what you get! When do you head back home? Til next time! Happy stitching and hurry back!💕😄
Thank you for explaining the"not judged". You are such a joy to watch i would love spending a day with you learning, laughing and sharing but Ark is a bit far from Oregon. Btw: the ladi in ladi legionnaire is a change from lady, i was in the air force and now in.the.American Legion. Loveyou !
Thanks Anna. Wished I could get a kit to know what the wool should be like but only charts seem available in UK so ended up having to buy fat 1/4s which seemed to fray as I stitched 'though told they were ready to use. Expensive and of course different seen online and disappointed with results. Plus I prepared them as you do and the pieces kept peeling off😯 Now I've lots left over but don't feel like using them for a while and I'd need more to make a Christmas project from Stacey's book. Pity it's difficult to buy fat 8th or less.
Every time you prep a wool project I want to pull one out, but I'm hip deep in quilt UFOs and am really trying to stick with them. I pick up my counted cross stitch in the evenings. I'm currently a monogamous. I have to have one craft that is under control!!
Anna what kind of stitches will you do on this quilt, you said a whip stitch and also a blanket stitch but for instance what stitch will you do where. It would be lovely to see one of your buttermilk basin quilts with what stitches you used where. I was doing Chalk it up yesterday the pumpkin spice one, and I did a blanket stitch round the words but it looked awful....I had to take it all out and start again, I ended up doing a whip stitch then a back stitch to accent the word. It looks better but I would love to see some of yours up close. Not to judge your stitching lol just to see what it looks like when finished. Thanks so much, I love watching your videos whilst in my sewing room, you keep me company and make me laugh. xx
Well, that was time well spent together. I needed to trace my freezer paper templates for my two BOM for my Sarah Fielke A Little Wilderness and Growing Wild quilts. I was just finishing my last template as you finished your video! And a Stitch Roadies video to boot today. Your wifi connection must be behaving today. We’re hovering around 40F today with rain after some sunny weather last week. Back to check out some of websites and Instagram account you suggested this morning.
it was the beginning of a new month...but with those 2 videos I have used all the fast data speed...now back to taking 2 days to launch...once back in Oregon we'll have to figure something out....
I adore the Autumn Harvest Home quilt , I have thought of trying to order it block by block and never do! I'll enjoy yours! My Eastmoreland is slow going since you released me from the stressing over it- I'm rethinking the whole thing! In almost every house I've lived in we've have a fireplace- adding chimney's, and loosing a couple of houses because in every house, my father would plant a wonderful weeping willow for me...and yes adding cats, dogs, flowers, birds, maybe a kite! I had muttered, I thought to myself but apparently not, I wasn't crazy about the black background. I read the prose she had written and asked doesn't that sound more like a beautiful summer''s day I see green grass! Not a night time blackness! A yard of amazing green motled fabric materialized ! Looking forward to hearing about your adventures! Barb
Enjoy watching your videos . I saw on TV , don't remember what show , but they have come up with a allergy shot . This shot is given to the cat not you . It keeps the cat from producing the dandruff that you are allergic to ! Hope this helps in some way .
I'm with you on the cat situation. No matter what kind they are my eyes start itching and my nose starts running. If I'm going to a friend's house who has a cat or more I always take an allergy pill before I go. That seems to work. Love all your videos!!!
Thank you! I will try it, pens just don't want to adhere to the soft fuse. Love both of your channels! I got into the wool applique because of watching you!!! I love it!
Could I ask a favor? When you take your felting class can you ask if most your quilt is felt can you put a cotton border or is that a no no. The reason I was thinking g of making it bigger. I just finished today. I'll Facebook you the picture. Just not sure if I should leave it as is or add a border Thanks for your help
It’s so relaxing to watch you laying out those pieces. When I heard the first plane I thought it was your stomach growling again 😂😆🤣😘 I was wondering if you have ever done quilt appliqué and if so have you used water soluble bonding material. For some reason that piques my interest. Take care Anna hugs 🤗
Hi Anna. I have watched your prepping method several times and have just tried out the Soft Fuse. Do you find it difficult to stitch through by hand and does it gum up your needle? Perhaps other viewers are having a similar issue and I hope you are able to address this at some stage on a video. Enjoy your visits to the quilt shop and to The Attic.
Hi, I hope you’re well. I’m just watching your channel and I noticed that you moved your pumpkin over to make it more central, but before you go to far please just check ( even if I’m wrong ) but are your two side strips about the same distance from the edges, it’s probably the way I’m looking at it. Please know I’m not judging, I’m trying to help. Great work I like to watch your shows. All the very best from Australia 🇦🇺
Is east Moreland a quilt or wall hanging ? Is it all embroidery? It sounds cute...just curious. Also your little place is it rented or a sharing place...I'd like to go to Arizona some time on my bucket list! It seemed there are more quilt shops and retreats out west ...bummer🐑 love your videos too
Did you rename that store "The Addict" or is that a subconscious mental thing. LOL! I've been to the Attic once. It took all day, and we had to sit down and take a break half way through from just looking at everything on the walls! And I don't even like samplers! Say hello to Mckenna, the one in the spike heels. Oh, and Bitstitch. Does he show up there once in a while? xoxo
I am so sorry to hear you are allergic to cats, I can't imagine not being a cat owner. Thank goodness you don't have the same issues with dogs. I know that PBS show on cats you are talking about, that was interesting. Have you and G watched the Ken Burns country music documentary on PBS? Very good!
Thanks Anna. Two videos in one day, made my day. I love prepping my wool projects and I keep all of the scraps also. Buying a kit is so much smarter. Thanks to you and G for bringing us such wonderful videos.

Thanks Anna, you are the best. Drive safely and enjoy everything. Love Kathy , Devon, UK xx
I really love how YOU share your knowledge and inspire all of us! ♥Thank you Anna ♥
Love the way you do things. That is the way I do. Went to the pillow site. $75 for one pillow. Going to just use my little dog that likes to sit behind me. She is warm and wiggles. She works for treats.

ooohhh I love iced tea!
Thanks Anna I have wanted to try wool appliqué but I don’t have much embroidery skills, I’m still learning cross stitching, but wool is really beautiful. I really want to try a small project sometime. 🤓
I just finished a Buttermilk Basin wool project.. have no idea how to share it with you. You are such an inspiration to me
Congrats!!!
Thank you for sharing your process. My first go with Soft Fuse and steam didn’t go well..either too much steam, or i left the iron in one place too long. The edges flattened out and started fraying 😳. I will keep trying! Have fun at your felting class!
hummm maybe in your area you need a dry iron which is as instructed but doesn't work in my climate
I picked up a little starter wool project on Friday at our local quilt show due to your videos.... deep breath and start a new venture. 😂
you are going to have soooo much fun!
Thanks Anna for putting me onto Soft Fuse. I tried a couple of fusables without success until I used Soft Fuse. Many Thanks.
Josephine Malcolm yes, Anna introduced me also to Soft Fuse. Makes things so much easier!

Home Sweet Home looks so wonderful!
I especially love the part where you talk, hiding behind the paper...lol... that is sooooo something I would do!!
Miss ya already! Be safe and hope to see you soon!
Thank YOU for sharing how you prepare your projects and I really enjoy them! Where do you get your Soft Fuse from?
I get it from either Stitchin Post in Sisters or Sew Many Quilts in Bend :) but I saw several rolls at Olde World in Cave Creek
Hooray! I got two Anna videos today! I can never get enough! Be safe on your travels and can’t wait to see what you get! When do you head back home? Til next time! Happy stitching and hurry back!💕😄

Hi Anna
You definitely inspired me to try appliqué and patchwork, you opened up a whole new world for me, love wool appliqué, you’re so lovely xxx
welcome to my world!
I just love watching your videos!
Yay, another Anna. I need a daily dose of you, Sister. Keeping it real 🙋🏼🍷😘
Love love love to listen and watch you work! Glenda and Mackenzie the 🐩 poodle
Hi Glenda and Mac!!!
Lol I'm working on Buttermilk Basin Harvest quilt tops too but I'm a little ahead you. Happy stitching.
I’m addictive to your podcast!👏👏🤗💕
Thanks Anna. Wished I could get a kit to know what the wool should be like but only charts seem available in UK so ended up having to buy fat 1/4s which seemed to fray as I stitched 'though told they were ready to use. What a bummer!! So frustrating...I wonder if you lightly felted the wool if it wouldn't fray?
Thanks Anna
Every time you prep a wool project I want to pull one out, but I'm hip deep in quilt UFOs and am really trying to stick with them. I pick up my counted cross stitch in the evenings. I'm currently a monogamous. I have to have one craft that is under control!!
I fear monogamy in crafting might not be as fun
Anna what kind of stitches will you do on this quilt, you said a whip stitch and also a blanket stitch but for instance what stitch will you do where. I love wool but can't touch it or be too near because of being allergic. I love watching you making beautiful items because I can't do it!
I have had several students in my Quilter's Affair classes who use Flannel in place of wool for that very reason and they look beautiful!
I was wondering- what about polar fleece - i just don’t know if it would look too cheesy?
Where is the description box!!!!!
Well, that was time well spent together. I needed to trace my freezer paper templates for my two BOM for my Sarah Fielke A Little Wilderness and Growing Wild quilts. Deb Kamp we are DEFINITELY going to Sisters next summer!!
That is he kept taking it!
Husbands are like that, yea they are!
Cute tee shirt. You and Becky from (Power tools with thread) have the best quilt tee shirts.
Enjoyed your video as usual. Big Hugs!!!

I do the same thing...bulk up on the meds!
I have trouble tracing my pattern pieces on soft fuse, the ink from my pens doesn't work. What do you use to trace onto soft fuse?
I just use a pencil
Thank you! I will try it, pens just don't want to adhere to the soft fuse. Love both of your channels! I got into the wool applique because of watching you!!! I love it!
Looking fabulous Anna 😘💐
Could I ask a favor? When you take your felting class can you ask if most your quilt is felt can you put a cotton border or is that a no no.
The reason I was thinking g of making it bigger.
I just finished today. I'll Facebook you the picture.
Just not sure if I should leave it as is or add a border
Thanks for your help
I have had cotton fabric as a border on wool quilts without any issues...sometimes I have put SF101 on the cotton.
@@quiltroadies1695 Thankyou Anna
By the way, The weather in Oregon has been fabulous... Weeks of sunshine and warmer than the usual winter.
It’s so relaxing to watch you laying out those pieces. When I heard the first plane I thought it was your stomach growling again 😂😆🤣😘 I was wondering if you have ever done quilt appliqué and if so have you used water soluble bonding material. LOL...I do cotton applique but use the freezer paper method...may have to give the water soluble a try.

Perhaps other viewers are having a similar issue and I hope you are able to address this at some stage on a video. Enjoy your visits to the quilt shop and to The Attic.
I have not had any issues of needling through or any gumming issues...I wonder if you got a bad batch...will talk about this in a future video.
Hi, I hope you’re well. You look like you are having a lot of fun today! Does it ever make you stressed?
sometimes but not often...I have a sign at home that says Deadlines Amuse Me
Is east Moreland a quilt or wall hanging ? Is it all embroidery? It sounds cute...just curious. Also your little place is it rented or a sharing place...I'd like to go to Arizona some time on my bucket list! It seemed there are more quilt shops and retreats out west ...bummer🐑 love your videos too
Dear Anna, I am going to Jackson Hole Wyoming for a wedding. Are you aware of any shops close to that area?
Have not been there but I am sure there is someplace to shop
You said you use fusibles so you do not lose your pieces. Wonder if that would work for the mind? Lol
IM SO SORRY for my last comment because I just saw you measure each of the sides, so all is ok. 🇦🇺
no worries :)
You are my appliqué wool go-to heroine. Thank you. All the good things I know about, I learned from you.🥳🥳🤩🤩😇😇😎👍🏼🤝👏😸😽😻👁🌈🥑🧀☕️🏅
I love my quilting army!
Did you rename that store "The Addict" or is that a subconscious mental thing. LOL!

we haven't but have it on our list :) I am also allergic to most dogs...there are 5 breeds that are ok for me.
There are hypoallergenic cats.
but are they cute?
Of course! ❤ My niece has a Ragdoll cat that I'm not allergic.
You have to many things to do are doing any relaxing 😎
What about a hairless cat? Then you could make them cute little outfits....👵🏻
You’ve never done felting......on purpose! You ever shrink a sweater in the wash?😂👵🏻
