Incredible stuff beginning to end! Not sure what the techniques are called, but the tail swinging from the head player’s hips toward the beginning was crazy. The tail covered so much ground and swung so many times!
I saw this video 1st then I go search champion performance. honestly champion may not so many trick as this routine. but the way the lion blink, and more the ears... shivering when it touch the plank and iron wire... I really feel it look like a lion being curious, hesitated and then play around with the plank and iron wire... I dunno much about lion dance. but I really feel that champion lion look cute and playful
So much emotion and passion put into all of those difficult moves. It is very hard to put expression in a lion like this. I still think Taiwan should have won Genting that year. KSK could not give this level of brilliance to the personality of their lion.

I watched this and KSK's team many times over and over again. I still don't understand why many people insist this team should be the champ?! The fundamental of lion dance is the lion has to dance in sync with the drum beats. Anybody who learn lion dance will tell you one of the most time-consuming exercise and practice is to learn to dance in sync with the drum and cymbals. If you dance waltz or salsa not in sync with the rhythm of the music, then you are not a good dancer. You can have all kind of fancy salsa moves but if you are not dancing to the music, then you are doing it wrong. So this Taiwan team, while having very nice and entertaining moves, they are not dancing to the rhythm of the drum and cymbals. It's like watching dancers waltz on the dance floor to a Tango music, way off. Would you consider a pair of dancers who dance off beat to the music Champion worthy? smh. Why a lion dance team that can't even achieve the basic fundamental requirement of dancing in sync to drum and cymbals be considered a champion? Remember, it was a lion DANCE competition, not lion acrobatic competition.
I have different opinions from yours. In Lion Dance, the dancer is a lion, a real lion won't dance on the beat exactly like a fox or human (XD). I've watched TW team's performance for many times, I didn't even notice what you mentioned about this beat/rhythm issue. So this is a "culture-difference" standard problem. If you're interested in Lion Dance, maybe you can come to Taiwan and see more traditional lion dance in many temples' festivals. The most important spirit of traditional lion dance is the the "holy" lion can convey brave power and invincible energy from goddess/heaven. People can feel triumphant ,being protected by the power, and have good luck while watching it. It can't be just like a clumsy or well-dancing-educated lion. BTW, I also watched KSK's performance, they're doing good as well, more like a naive animal dancing art. I like it as well. But if I were the juror, I think TW's team is the champ.
Ok, that's fine. I really enjoy both of the performance, but TW team had shown more strength that I consider as a more important point. It doesn't really matter who's the champion. I actually think most Taiwanese count on WIN or LOSE too much. Everyone wants to bring glory back to Taiwan like Chien-Ming Wang. :)

台湾培德的难度动作不输给关圣宫，但是配合形态动作就没关圣宫那么灵性顺畅。难度动作最多只能有2分，形态能达到5分！如果去看回KSK的比赛视频比较的话，你会看得出台湾队比较多难度，KSK队会比较灵性顺

报纸上说，亚军是以微分之差输给冠军的，虽败犹荣。若说关圣宫优胜之处，在于生动表达狮子形态，喜、怒、哀、乐、动、静、惊、疑；亚军在桩上有好几个瞬间都是呆滞的。鼓乐方面，要做到“狮跟鼓，鼓就狮”。亚军的鼓乐则有喧宾夺主之嫌。

林口 没记错的话。大动作只占了三分。。评分规章是有细节的。。每个团队都知道的。。还有扣分制度也分三个等级。。两队大动作都做的很好。。关圣宫可能是赢在细节上吧。。。
难度再多也是2分~ 如果舞狮难度和形态没有兼顾就等于拿着狮头表演特技。

很多比赛有几个不是内定的包括选美，烹饪，足球，选秀，也难免狮子吧。我身为一个马来西亚人，在10年里也看了无数的狮子比赛。以前的KSK实至名归的冠军都赢在编排创意，舞狮的姿态，高难度创意等等。今时今日再也看不到了。这一届明显是这一队舞的好很多，反而KSK还10年不变的从那个盒子里出来或采青塞在牙缝，没以前的那种创意精神了，没有以前的神勇多姿多彩的形态了。
赢在实至名归，大家拍手叫好。如果赢在只要不出现大失误，把编排走完，一切内定的话，那才叫可耻。要比就要比的光彩，输也输到心服，赢也赢到干净。希望KSK能展现回10年前的创意精神夺回实至名归的冠军而不是今时今日的内定吧。
如果问我这队的缺陷，主要还是锣鼓和查查没有配合好，搞到大声过锣鼓了。还有楼下看到的评论我都想笑了，没有人去舞狮比赛会创意在锣鼓队打法的，锣鼓队要尽量走传统打法的，服装或呐喊那些可以创意罢了。好几年前我看过更恐怖的内定，而且只是狮王争霸赛罢了，不是世界赛。如果没有记错好像是吉打州的，舞到像整只猫一样灵活，但还是输了零点几分。

看过讲关圣宫的狮王之路的记录片，里面写了每次比赛，只要该国的舞狮开始比，该国的评判就要离席，让其他国家评判，一次九个国家的评判都在，这其它评判他们的师队也有在比。最好看看人家怎样讲解比赛，才来评判别人有没有造马。纪录片一位大师讲的一句话，非常有意义，就是，就算今天输了，也不会输了关圣宫连续冠军的辉煌，就算别人赢了，也是赢了今朝的关圣宫，而不是纪录在案的辉煌纪录。
其实是谁赢？
不要說看...然後有注意舞獅的...台灣人這一套路關聖宮在2013-2014年已經在用了..而且舞得比他們更生動...

这个看了后感观还是属于没有那么自然优美 有些所谓狮的习性体态还可以做的更好 这个的确做了很多高难度的动作 架构也很完整 但感观体态不够自然 尤其是后面踢的时候 不够狮的一体性 可以常看猫的一些小动作 它们的动作习惯性以及一体性 只能说这组他们做得好 但关圣宫做的更好 以微分之差的形式 关圣宫他们把很多细节性放大给观众看 这组我只能说我享受它的高难度动作 但关圣宫我享受的是它的自然和小细节

个人观点，
如果比赛只比高难度和创新=冠军非你莫属！优点就不必一一说明，大家有目共睹！
但可惜就才细节上的粗心和不重视让冠军跑了。这就发生那一秒两秒或一连串的快节奏，让观赏的人好不察觉。
1，从开始到结束，鼓追狮，狮追鼓。不是鼓稍微快，就是狮在某小动作在等鼓。节奏没配合到精准。
2，起狮时，狮头没那个“撑”力。让狮头挂着的感觉。
3，下了桩，在12.00分钟过后，拜狮就很不在乎不以为然。很像已经结束了。整个狮头没劲，一晃带过，草草了事，赶着庆祝。在还没有结束之前，请把所有动作做到位。
比赛就是残忍。没得埋怨。做好自己，把每个动作做好让别人没话说！

而且这队舞狮头的到后面 很明显时已经没力气了 整个狮头都已经很飘了～

这都不是每一次的事了，有看舞狮的人，相信大家都记得2004年云顶世界赛了吧。。第一次出现两个冠军，这就是XXX输不起的精神。

今天的香港自從關得興和石堅等等的老前輩死後,香港的舞獅一落千丈。每年年初三馬會跑馬,他們所請的不是真正舞獅精英,而是請舞死獅的社團。讓中國人看到馬未跑心先酸,這可能是香港馬會的心理戰吧。

会输因为很多动作模仿关圣官，但把动作做太大了。完全不是舞狮 ，是舞人吧。细看就发现这队伍，觉得要拨动眼睛就拨，摇屁股就摇，完全没有那种放入感情的步骤。人家4脚原地踢跳，有那种调皮嬉戏的感觉，可是这队伍完全就是为了有而有，为了完成而完成。如果台北还是输得不情愿。下次遇到中国直接派体操选手训练舞狮就不用比了。要知道中国杂技团，体操，等等高难度动作，中国人只要想做，没有做不到的。
為何中國沒擠進前二名？由台灣代表中國，呵呵
