Excuse me bro, do these cool physics work only with imported animations from mmd? Can I, for example, make my own animation of character in blender and still get hair&dress movements?
The mmd models have a "hidden" collision object hierarchy in the collections. When you import a .vmd, that collision collection also inherits the animation from the mmd bones, thus making the physics you see. In general if you already have this *exact* model, yes you can animate her, then activate and bake physics, and you're pretty much set.
Open a window for the shader tree while you have that material selected. Then, search for all the nodes that contain images, and make sure they are all pointing to the right texture by clicking on the little folder in the image node.

I plan on playing around with other models motions in the same black-out space 'cuz why not. But my goal is to see what it takes retarget some free high-poly models made for blender animating specifically to VMD motions.
If that's not impossible - That's a super fast workflow to create high quality stereoscopic CG content for Quests and other VR headset viewing without the time and cost pain of a cycles render. Rendering that out for 60fps in Cycles at 1920x1920 per eye would take a long time even with the most simplest of scene and lighting I set up. That's a heavy barrier to entry for a normal human with a normal PC wanting to create content for a $300 headset.
I don't understand, each time I try to convert the materials for cycles, blender just close itself, nothing else...
are you using blender 2.81a? Also: It's most likely one of other addons is causing conflict and thus closing the application. Also: Is the crash happening -specifically- with this model?
@@activemotionpictures I was using 2.81 at first, but I decided to do a clean install of Blender, so I removed every addons, everything and installed Blender 2.81a. It still happens. And I tried with other models from the same website (3D Nicovideo), it happens with every models
I put MMD in the right way but I can't find it :(...
how can I do?
Hi, i am here to learn and, have subscribed!!!
So cool. Thanks!
@@activemotionpictures I want to get a level higher with mmd so I'm hoping Blender is the answer. XD
help me!) "Multiple add-ons with the same name found! Delete one of each pair to resolve"
Indeed, delete from addons, uncheck and then remove.
@@activemotionpictures sorry,but what to delete? here's a screenshot yadi.sk/d/-EijJIS5zT8KVA
@@activemotionpictures figured it out;)
This does not work. He says he wants a version over 2.8, but in fact it doesn't work. The lower version just starts. At 2.79 it works, but not on the latest version. I tried this option and with installation and the result is the same.
This is blender 2.81. Try it on that version. All though I just read the addon was updated 3 weeks ago for 2.83. Awesum.
@@activemotionpictures I tried another source and it happened or it was because the program, the plugin or both were in a folder containing Cyrillic. I no longer remember what exactly solved the problem. The program is generally a problem with folders containing Cyrillic. Very annoying problem with some games and programs when they are in a folder that contains non-Latin letters.
no matter how i import the motion file , the motion is transferred only to the eyes
all i have is a config file under /blender foundation/blender/2.91
so instead i kept it as a zip and used "install add on" and it said it worked but if i search for it, its not there
looks like by doing that it gave me an add on folder, then followed your steps and it worked
Im on mac and it didnt workK SOOOoo
soooo..... you're going to go back to 2.81, install the addon, and watch how it DOES work... that's what's "so".
Whenever I try to do physics the hair spazzes out and I have no clue how to fix it
