This song ALWAYS makes me cry. It reminds me of my Grandma, Mom, Dad and my only sibling. 😢😢😢 who have graduated to Glory.
Wonderful! Singing as beautifully as she did in the seventies.

And when one of us is gone and one of us is left to carry on then remembering will have to do, Our memories alone will see us through , Think about the days of me and you and you and me and me against the world; No truer words have ever been spoken and sung so beautifully.

Awesome singer! God gave her a beautiful voice right up to the end!
The year 1976, this was my comfort song, as a young widow with a little 2year old boy, left alone in the world...we got thru, but the song always brings a tear. Thank You Helen Reddy
A most beautiful song by a most beautiful and gracious lady. She must be looking down at us from beyond cloud nine and smiling.
Love from China.

Makes a hard song to listen to even harder lo listen now. This song always kills me.
So under rated, overlooked, unknown... this lady would be my only champion against the world. God bless you Miss Helen Reddy!
I don't think she's overlooked and unknown. She's quite a big deal back then. She wasn't called Queen of 70s Pop for nothing.
She wasn't over looked and underrated. She was an icon back many donkies years ago.
underrated.???
That's a flat no.
She still sings just as beautiful as she did back when ❤️❤️❤️
My all~time favorite of her songs...I sang it to my childhood dog way back when and I still sing it to my present~day dog today. RIP Helen...RIP❤

Sounds like she done a pretty good job.
Although my parents passed much later, your sentiments are still mine, exactly. So bittersweet...
Still years later so much talent, she still has the voice to bring her songs to life as only she can do. We love you Helen, thank you.

Helen was an Awesome Talented Singer n Songwriter. I've been a Fan for about 40 Years. This Song Reminds Me of Raising My Adult Daughter thru the Long Journey. It's One I Dedicated to Us Years Ago.💕💕
The voice never left her.:
I knew going in that this video would draw tears.. and it is through them that I type this. My mom and I essentially ran away together when I was 16 to begin a whole new existence far away and apart from what we had known before. The rescue adventure of a lifetime, and this song was on the charts right then during the thick of it all, so we adopted its sentiment as our own as we ultimately survived with happiness, dignity and prosperity.. She passed away in 1998... so I am "left to carry on".. and I do so with tremendous memories and zero regrets. Thanks, Mom. Love you. Thanks, Helen. Love you.
We miss you Helen your songs and the memories will remains love you Helen rest in peace amen.
This is how you age with class. She was beautiful in the 1970's ,....and is still beautiful now,....just in a different way.
She looks good for 75, but honestly - she's no longer beautiful. However, her singing is astonishingly good for a 75 year old.
Yes she is! Her music meant so much to me.
@@artfuldodger1286 Wow
Her voice never left her
Hear you
R.I.P. Helen Reddy. What an amazing woman. Who overcame so much. Such an inspiration. We will miss you.x

Had the pleasure of meeting this lovely lady many years ago and I'm still a fan. Great voice!!
Still has that unique sound. Loved the songs she wrote herself. Thank you Helen for fighting hard to make it as a singer in the US as a single mother and gave us so many lovely songs.
There will never be another Helen Reddy or an equivalent

Beatiful song
The News reader said " and we remember Helen Reddy who passed away today "
My heart sank as the realisation hit that one of the world's greatest singers had died.
Helen was very ' Australian ' a great ambassador for us as Australians.
As a man, I love to sing " I am Woman " very loud.
Helen helped to emancipate 51% of Australia's population at a time when Gough Whitlam came to Government in December 1972.
It was great timing.
Gough's Government was progressive not conservative.
After 23 yrs of Liberal/Country Party Government keeping Australia in the dark, Labor had to work fast.
Abolishing conscription, bringing our troops home from Vietnam,
Women's Rights, Aboriginal Rights, Funding Arts and Culture, JJ 1540 AM Radio, Countdown on ABC TV with Molly Meldrum, the long list goes on..........
As an 11 yr old in a very political household, I remember thinking that this woman, Helen Reddy, was the voice of these great social changes.
Well, she was a major part of a very important time in Australian history.
She was a very strong and powerful singer who sang brilliant songs.
I love her very much and am very saddened by her passing
I live in Melbourne too and I remember all these things. I’m saddened by her passing. I wish I paid more attention in the last 30 years! What a great singer. I’m playing her songs on my piano.
❤️ love her songs and her strength to put her beautiful music out for our ears to cherish ❤️ I’ve listened to your songs so many times ❤️
What a lady! A long-time favorite of mine, and she doesn't sound a whole lot different than she did on this song in 1975! She may not sustain the notes quite as long, but she's STILL certainly got it! And it sounds almost like she's even singing it in the same key she did years ago! Thank you for posting this, and we hope she is well and happy. Bless you, Helen!
I think those of us who lived in those times, can't help but cry or at least want to. Memories, feelings, emotion. That's what the greatest music can do. For this old dude this is one of those songs. She kept that voice for so long. Amazing. Its bittersweet as we age but have these magical memories at the same time. Thanks Hellen 😄😢
Always a superstar
gGod has always been on your side Helen, thank you for sharing your talent and love with all of us.
Wow. Just wow. I loved her back in the ‘70’s and I love her just as much now. Her voice still does that thing to me. I love you, Helen. Thank you for sharing yourself with us.

I've always loved Helen Reddy's voice, it's pleasant and soothing. God Bless you Helen!!! :)
I wish I was able to see her live. She’s the one I missed. Voice of an angel
The faces of the fans in the audience tells the story . Only certain songs and performers can captivate a whole group of people . This is one those times .
Love you Mom This is our Song. Waiting to see you again, hope it’s soon.
Wonderful Woman
That is so awesome, when they do the crowd shots you can tell everyone is genuinely there and listen and take in the music to heart
Wow just discovered this beautiful song I’m nearly in tears it’s so special thanks Helen ,
Her voice sounds the same since the 70s. What joy it is to hear her at 75. : )
God bless her she never lost that beautiful voice. She really captivated the audience.
"...and one of us is left to carry on." God bless you Mom and Dad. Thanks Helen for touching a nerve that feels good. All the best to the wonderful people and musical heritage of Australia.

Age does not define Helen; her voice and , ' you and me , against, the world.' Eternal....

Just love Helen ! She was a huge influence on me when I first started singing I hope I'll still be on stage at 75 like her.She is one of the great entertainers of Australia I feel she could be given a lot more recognition here , after all she led the way for so many artists from Australia to show the world what we could do.xx
Janet, she deserves more recognition here in the USA as well. I'm getting to be an old man now. And her music reaches back to my youth. A special time. Especially for music. An underrated talent for sure.
Helen Reddy is the ANGEL Of All Voices. She Will Live On For Ever. This Is A FACT.

The 70s was the best decade ever!!!!!!!!
Yes it was
@rj zander Hi rj, I lived in Brooklyn & we moved to Rockville Centre. I graduated from Southside High School along with Howard Stern who was older than me. I skipped first grade & graduated early from high school so Howard is 2 yrs older than me. We graduated in 1972. I didn't know Howard. My first husband is from Baldwin & knew Dee Snyder from Baldwin High school. He was the lead singer of Twisted Sister. I remember a few great Chinese restaurants in Bellmore right off Sunrise Hwy. We have an apartment in NYC, upper Eastside & a house on Eastern LI. Ill never leave NY. We're gonna sell our apt. soon because we are retired
Kind of gut wrenching to see and hear after living through those times. But her performance was excellent. We in America have had fantastic talent. And we have been fortunate to get so much more from places like Australia. I'm thankful for it all☮️
IT SURE WAS I surely agree with you graduated in 74 and I miss the old days
dont know if you guys cares but if you guys are stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the new series on InstaFlixxer. Have been binge watching with my gf for the last few days =)
Singing from her heart just about the best song I've ever heard.
Always loved this song,memories!!
