- Hey ya’ll! My husband and I are currently renovating our pantry right now and putting our time towards that lately has left very little time to do housework. My life feels so unorganized when I have a messy house and having it clean makes life so much better for me, so to cleaning I went!! Just now getting to watch this video, and had to say I love seeing your clothesline. My allergies are too bad right now with the pollen but I’ll be glad to use my clothesline soon. You killed the cleaning, girl. I usually only do one or two rooms a day when I clean because I never do a quick clean. Every time I clean, I deep clean. I need to work on that so I can cover more in a day. Haha, thanks!

Girl I wish I could clean in fast motion too! I really do enjoy cleaning, but I always wait to clean everything at once, so sometimes a fast forward button would be so nice! That dish soap you saw was actually in the scent Bluebell, my favorite so far! I cant wait to see my pantry either! Where are your rugs from? Does the mop have a separate section that keeps the dirty water separate from the clean? I love your videos.
The rug by my side door and kitchen came from Target & my laundry room rug came from TJMaxx! No the mop bucket doesn't separate the clean water from the dirty water. It doesn't really bother me though because my water is hardly dirty because I don't let my floors get nasty! ... Thanks! :)

Thank you for the motivation this evening! I didn't do anything special, just end-of-day cleaning, but I probably wouldn't have done it if I hadn't watched this.
I asked my landlord if I could have a clothesline, but he said no. (I live in a little apartment with a tiny patio in the Los Angeles area.) Drying anything on a clothesline looks like heaven. Is it true that fabrics dried outside smell better than anything dried in a dryer, or is that some kind of myth?

i'm new here -- i've never really cleaned my house to this extent before & i find this video so motivating and inspiring.
however, since i never clean my house, i'd like to know a few things:
1) i know you cleaned over several hours, but can i get an approx number so it's easier for me to comprehend how long cleaning like this will really take?
2) how many towels do you use each time you clean, or maybe the purposes of different towels?
3) how often do you clean and deep clean?
4) product recommendations for different rooms/areas/purposes?
my house is literally a huge mess with all the random clutter piled up from over the many years lol : (
I know your comment was directed to her, but as a person who cleans a lot and loves doing it, I'll tell you this much...
1. The amount of time that it takes to clean your house will depend on A LOT of things. For example if you have kids, pets, the size of your house and the amount of things you have like clothes and furniture.
2. The amount of towels used during cleaning also depends on what type of cleaning you are doing. A deep clean or just a tidy up. Normally you would use a different towel for different areas of the house like bathroom, kitchen, rooms. You would also use a different towel depending on the product you are using. One for wood, one for stainless steel, one for granite, one for counter tops, etc. Obviously changing them as they get dirty.
3. How often you need to clean your house depends on all the things mentioned on #1. But if you do a little every day and keep up with it, deep cleaning will be so much easier.
4. Product recommendations....
Mrs. Meyers and Method cleaning products have a variety that are great for cleaning your home. However, you can always buy the traditional. Windex for glass, Pledge for wood, Clorox products for bathrooms etc.
Last recommendation:
You mentioned your house is a huge mess and that you have a lot of clutter. Well I strongly suggest you start by decluttering. But do this little by little. Take one part/room of the house at a time. If not you're going to feel overwhelmed and maybe giveup!! Take it easy, finish that one single room or part of the house to the point where you absolutely love the outcome and feel proud of yourself for your accomplishment. Then use that inspiration to tackle the next space in your house. Keep a container or bin near you where you could toss things that you don't need and could donate. What you don't need and can't donate, throw away immediately! You might have to do a little extra each day until your house is to the point where you love it. Once you get to that point all you're gonna need to do is keep up with a little each day and deep clean maybe once a week or every other week, depending on your household needs. It's not gonna be so easy at first since you currently have a lot of mess and clutter, but little by little I promise you'll get there. Also, once everything is kept clean and organized other members of the family also tend to try to keep things how they are. Keep watching cleaning videos, they do a very good job in motivating us!
