8 bucks! What a deal! That little recipe box is very cute and has a terrific vintage look ,which is great for resale! The armadillo napkin holder is great! I bet that will sell for resale because its really fun! The, what looks like bamboo, bowl is awesome! I love that! It has like a classy look to it. I love the wooden rooster! That is really cute! Oh my goodness! The bobbing head kitty! in thee box! I love it! That is great! The robot kitty is super! Your cats are going to look at that ,and be confused, saying, what kind of cat is that? LOL! I notice you come across a lot of plaster painted items. In the early 80s painting plaster items was a big craft thing to do. The craft stores used to sell these unpainted plaster items that you could paint any way you wanted to. They had Christmas ornaments, figurines, etc. My sister painted plaster Christmas ornaments so incredibly, and with such detail that people wanted to buy them from her. She painted a bunch of ornaments to sell ,and she sold all of them! At the time she needed the money to pay bills and so that little bit helped. BTW, at 4:40 on your video you were at the bin with the boxes that held the breakable items. You had a deer figurine in your hand. I think that was from the 1930s ,and some collector's item. Also, in the right hand side of the box is a small glass bowl. I think that glass bowl originally came from a tea caddy. In the 1700 to early 1800s, only the wealthy could afford tea and spices. Tea was so valuable that they used to lock the tea in special boxes because the servants would steal. They would look up spices as well for the same reason. The tea boxes had two compartments, which held two different types of tea. Then, in the center of the box was a glass bowl. In the glass bowl, they would mix the two teas together to make their own blend of tea. Tea caddies are worth A LOT of money. Over the years many of the tea caddy's bowls went missing. Some are for sale with the original bowls in them, and that makes the value go even higher. I believe that glass bowl at the bins was a tea caddy bowl. Something like that can sell for very good money because people who have an old tea caddy may not have the original bowl, and they would love to buy an old replacement. Anyway! sorry about the long BLOG COMMENT! LOL! Thank you very much for your video! You find really super cute collectables for resale! The best to you and your family!
Oh Robyn thank you. First time I have smiled in awhile. (the troll!!) I love that bowl and the armadillo and that chicken. That is my jam! Nice haul! Love ya Diva. :)
Haha consistency in making a living...isn't that ironic. I love when you score big or little...is more exciting of course when you're excited about your finds. Nice video. Awww you should have got the gnome and let eliza paint it for Christmas. Hope you're feeling well. You seem to have kicked your last cold. ❤❤ those book nooks are really cool. I've been thinking of getting some supplies to make a couple myself.
Robyn if you are ever in a situation where you feel like you have too much inventory and would like to liquidate them to a more manageable amount, I think whatnot would be a good fit for you to try.
