NY has always been the place for smart music, these guys are bringing it back. The South raps about strips club, LA about fame but NY is bringing an underground culture of spiritually aware people to light. I'm so hyped for another mixtape and hopefully one of them on the XXL freshmen roster next year.
1. you dont have to do psychedelics to have a higher level of thinking
2. dont think like they do think on your own, be conscious
3. read some books, and of course enjoy the music and knowledge they're spreading

The indigoism mixtape is dope as fuck, but what they say is kind of hypocritical. They're all about anti-religion and thinking for yourself, but at the same time claim that their entire motive for rapping is to influence the masses into their way of thinking. Is that not the base that all religions are founded on?
I don't wanna assume all their reasoning behind the name but in society's eyes they're seen as "Underachievers" so like AK said they're taking something with a negative connotation and making it positive. It has nothing to do with academic performance, they're both on a quest for divine knowledge. Elevate yourself.

your misunderstood, the idea of jesus was a man who found his path and reached `christ consciousness` , then as years went on his image was transformed into him being a higher being, that a normal man couldn't be like him, and when we limit our thinking saying we cant do something, then it will never be achieved , basically, we are all our own gods, but are all connected to one `soul`

I understand what these guys are saying and respect thier ideals,before even discovering what indigoism was I didn't even realise I was on the verge of becoming part of it myself. Im a christian I believe in god. I don't believe in a spiritual god or a physical god but I do believe in god.(Not gonna go into detail with that,would take too long) but the point being,I question everything as a person,what's wrong? what's right? i hear what you're saying but the i'd say the distinction between their influence or any other person or group trying to influence anyone in this way is that, religion generally makes you considerably more close minded so you only see like possibilities that the religion lays out for you, but these guys, yea they're tryna influence but the goal is to make people more open minded so in the long run they're able to become more conscious and think for themselves so no influence is needed anymore.

no, if you listen they are talking about people who follow religions based on common beliefs and for the sole reason of it being a religion. they want people to stop and think for themselves what they actually believe in rather than just being a part of something because it is others say it's right.
