Thank you for your video! I didn’t end up needing to disassemble. Using a kid’s broom stick to add leverage to pop out the stick sock worked. Got that tip from your video.
It's a known problem on this model of dryers. Some clothe get caught in the space between filter and body. Normally, this space is dedicated to install a rack to dry shoes. On yours, the caps are missing and your clothes can cause the filter to come out.

Hey! Yeah I thought it was weird too. Must be for things like the “wrinkle care”, must kinda steam the clothes.
i have this same dryer (gas version), there are two or three dryer cycles that include steam functionality hence the water supply.
