I'll be heading to Greece (and Ios is one of the islands I will be going to for a few days) from Singapore and this is my first time flying a drone in Europe. I read online that I have to get registered but I've sent emails to the Hellenic Aviation Authority and some others but I got no reply thus far.

yes, EU regulations covers Greece., so you need to follow those.
