@@Zavrael bro Powder was a severely traumatized, abandoned child. Ofc she'll cling to anyone who would comfort her. She didn't get to choose anything because Silco became her "protector" and why would any child leave the only protection fatherly figure after being abandoned. Silco being a "good caregiver" is not how the creators wrote him and it's an amazingly well written plot point for the show.

And then he's like oh I guess I'm a dad now but if anything happened to her, I would kill everyone in this room and then myself. She was most mentally stable until Vi showed up (or when she imagined Vi's face on the Firelight girl). Then Silco had to do a baptism ritual in the river to calm her mind to make her feel strong and reborn and not be weakened by her past. Under Silco she was able to reach her potential. She became strong carrying a huge minigun with her all the time like it weighs nothing and she became courageous fighting dozens of Firelights at once. She fully developed her ingenious engineering talents makings all sorts of inventive weapons and proved she was not weak, to her father, by stealing and reverse engineering a Hextech gemstone. She basically single-handedly gave the edge to her father to be able to fight for Zaun's independence from Piltover. Silco as a parent allowed Jinx to overcome all her fears and weaknesses she faced as a child. But most importantly he gave her unconditional love as a father, confirming that she is perfect despite her faults, flaws and mistakes.

Truely a tragic, toxic relationship, but even with all that Silco still loves his daughter and Jinx still loves him. Without Silco who knows what would have happened, maybe things would be easier, maybe they would be worse. 🥺😥💔
