This is by and far the best Blizzcon reaction fans have had to a Cinematic WoW trailer ever. When Sylvanas shouts "For the Horde" and the Horde Players cheer along with Saurfang roaring. As well as Anduin shouting "For the Alliance" and then Alliance players cheer. Simply amazing.
Blizzard did well with Legion, so it was probably deserved, but BfA was a disappointment like any other and I wasn't a fan at all of the return to war between Alliance and Horde. I so desperately want them to just fucking *stop* trying to push the war. Split up the factions or something. I feel absolutely no connection to the Alliance or Horde beyond just liking some of their races and their attempts to make the two seem more of rivals than they really are has never done anything for me. I'm just going to switch to an alt and replay the Alliance content after I'm done with the Horde, why would I feel invested in only half of the game's content? It's ludicrous. Their cinematics, as usual, are beautiful and I did enjoy the new allied races, the warfronts, and so on... but I did *not* enjoy having to grind reputations to get each race. In fact most of the races were ruined for me because of how much I had to grind for them. The upcoming level squish is going to fix the issue of having to grind forever to reach current content with the new races, which is *great* it really is, but so long as those rep grinds are there the races themselves will forever be marred in my eyes. I can't enjoy them knowing how much I have to suffer just to get them. They aren't even full races for fuck's sake... they re-use animations and some don't even look that different, like the Highmountain Tauren or Dark Iron Dwarves. Why make us suffer more for them than we did for Blood Elves, Draenei, Pandaren and so on?

The Alliance gets so overglorified. They got to besiege our city twice while we have not seen the walls of Stormwind since the First War.
i have watched 100 reactions of this and damn every time i get the chills/goosebumps when sylvanas says FOR THE HORDE and MANduin says FOR THE ALLIANCE!
In person it was a huge chunk of the crowd. People were going crazy over Anduin's mass battle res, and when he rallied and shouted 'For the Alliance' the 10k+ audience lost their shit.
I think some of the soldiers were dead, we can see the hand of one in the floor picking up his weapon again (And we can also see a troll approaching from behind a wounded soldier so, that)
This is the best cinematic for any video game in history. Still 5+ years later and it gives goosebumps. It's truly a shame how the game didn't live up to expectations. Whoever worked on this cinematic could seriously produce a banging TV series....

Not gonna lie, the very ending of the cinematic (the iconic human vs. orc) was a lil' emotional for me too, especially watching it amongst thousands of other WoW veterans.
Okay, this is probably going to sound absolutely ridiculous to some of you, but I was almost in tears when Sylvanas screamed "FOR THE HORDE!" I honestly think it's because of how much of an impact WoW has made on my life and how PROUD I feel to play. I have been playing since day 1 vanilla when gaming was less socially accepted and only "nerds" played. My fondest memories include me and my dad going to Best Buy every xpac and getting In N Out and eating it while we waited for our CDs to install. It was our tradition. I have been through middle school, high school, my parents divorce, my dad moving across country, ME moving across a state, finding my husband on WoW, college, meeting WoW friends IRL who became my best friends, keeping me sane through a depressing career, through friends deaths, through family deaths. . .all with WoW by my side. The game has changed, yes, but it has always been there through everything in my life!

Anduinn kills 2 soldiers, then smashes a troll... before ressing/healing an entire battlefield... but again, Apparently all it takes for horde to feel special is one of their leaders screaming "For the horde!" after taking out at best... 4 soldiers... neat, I guess. And considering we know how this battle ends... (Spoilers, Alliance win) King Mannduin. Stand and Fight as one, FOR THE ALLIANCE!
This was my first BlizzCon, that cinematic was an incredible experience in which the video can't do justice. That hall went fucking NUTS! Awesome video, thanks for letting me relive that. :)
There is one detail I still love about this: The moment Anduin is about to strike the troll with his sword, he doubts. It's for a milisecond, but when the troll is on the ground and about to strike back, Anduin doubts on killing the troll but then snaps out of it and ends him. After that, after seeing the troll on the ground as well as his own men, no more than the fallen enemies of the Horde (a bloodshed he doesn't want to happen), and that's when he knows that playing under Varian's tactical logic will only doom them (the same way others were doomed under Varian's regime). That's why he looks at the sword as well, because he is using the "kill or die" logic, and that's not who he is. So he lets the blood-bathed sword fall, and uses his own willpower to call on the Light to heal back his army, and that's why he says "we stand as one". Anduin is not his father, but he embodies the best of him, and that milisecond of doubt is what marks the greatness he will bring as King. As we can see through the videogame, and especially during RoA. Good job, Blizzard.
Honestly I see the hesitation and looking at the sword as him looking for answers. He is in a terrible situation, his entire army is being destroyed and he begins doubting his own ability to lead them to victory. Him looking at his father's sword is the way Anduin looks for guidance, just as he did in the broken shore cinematic, he looks at his father's sword and promptly remembers the answer: What a king must do. He isn't a fighter like his father, so he throws Shalamayne on the floor and on that moment he isn't trying to be the shadow of his father anymore, it is in that precise moment that he is Anduin, High King of the Alliance and he uses his faith in the Light to perform a seemingly impossible feat. After all is done he takes his father's sword back and you can see in his face an almost "I guess I can do this after all" look. BfA might have not been a very good expansion but this cinematic is just the most amazing thing Blizzard has ever produced.
I was sitting in this same area at blizzcon during this. Regardless of how this expansion went, shit still gives me goosebumps. I'll never forget the reaction to the banshee scream.
FOR THE ALLIANCE! I was heartbroken when Varian was killed, but Anduin has shown us that he has the dedication and leadership of a true king. He will take the alliance to new heights and bring the horde down to their heels. It was the burning legion that sent them over to our world, and I have a message to every orc, undead, troll, and blood elf I see; YOURE NOT WELCOME!

@@blackrose8418 yeah. i mean the only unnative horde race are the orcs and if we wanna play the blame game the Draenei are the reason for their fall as since the burning legion followed the Draenei to outlands. and as for the undead. it was one of the alliances fallen princes that caused them to be and the Blood Elves? they were part of the alliance before they were shunned by the alliance after Arthas Ravaged their home.

The only issue I could have with the horde is the amount of salty 14 yo kids who pollute the comment sections but I guess it must 1% of the playerbase.

The skill and art of this animation is magnificent. The subtle changes in expression on Anduin's face. You could watch that 10 times over and still not see it all. Definitely his father's son grown into his own man.

I love Sylvanas too, excellent character. But as an alliance player, in Manduin I trust (and he is shaping up to be on par with Sylvanas for character development and lore impact). I just hope blizz slows down with Sylvanas hype, too much pandering is a bad thing.

leoman1490 except Blizzard is far from impartial these days. It’s going to end with Horde being the baddies, Anduin doing some fucking stupid ass pull, and us losing our 4th Warchief in a row. I’m down for faction animosity, but this plain favouritism is getting fucking old.

@@DaOriginalGrandPanda too bad indeed as both sides are interesting, I'm used to side with the alliance (at least I did almost 10 years ago when I still played this game) but horde has strong characters too.
The only issue I could have with the horde is the amount of salty 14 yo kids who pollute the comment sections but I guess it must 1% of the playerbase.

The skill and art of this animation is magnificent. The subtle changes in expression on Anduin's face. You could watch that 10 times over and still not see it all. Definitely his father's son grown into his own man.

I love Sylvanas too, excellent character. But as an alliance player, in Manduin I trust (and he is shaping up to be on par with Sylvanas for character development and lore impact). I just hope blizz slows down with Sylvanas hype, too much pandering is a bad thing.
