Great ideas! Especially the baby wipes, never thought of that! I haven't had much success with sewing through card, the thinner the better. I would sew on fabric before before I stuck it to card. ❤
This was really a cool video and I have never even thought to keep the baby wipes for something. Upcycling at its best! The fabric is just beautiful embossed. Thanks for doing this ❤
I want to say I really like that you work the oops that not right in your videos . I learn so much from your videos. Thnx for sharing and all your new ideas you share.
I love this idea. They turned out beautiful. Thank you for sharing. What I would recommend you try is a basting spray to hold the fabric and paper together. It will be much gentler on your machine when sewing then the double sided tape and the basting spray is meant for. sewing.
Nice. I glue my fabric on to cereal box pieces. Then emboss with the big shot. And do the tape after. Or put a paper on the back to make writing spots.. good video
What a cool technique...Tfs Dev. I think if you wanted to stitch, you could possibly it before you adhere? The possibilities are endless here Dev! Thanks so much!
Your finished piece was gorgeous and I loved the video, you're always so inspiring. Loved the scroll pattern with the bird and butterflies - so pretty!!
It doesn't just gum up your needle. It also gums up the inner works of your machine. Best not to use an adhesive that stays tacky. Awesome idea for fabric!! Seems like the iron stuff mentioned in a previous comment would work great for added stitching. Gonna give it a whirl
Awesomeness I just got my first tiny machine it’s 2 1/2 inches wide. Now to find embossing folders. I may have to buy large and cut them but I’ll look. I’m loving this ❤🐝💙😎
Thanks for the great idea to use double sticky tape. I saw another crafter use fabric glue but this looks easier and less messy. Also, no drying time is needed.
Really enjoyed these fabric ideas. I think you could sew the fabric to the paper and skip the taping / glue, the put the sandwich through to emboss. I must try this. Thank you 😊
Was informative. Wondering if you had trouble removing the card stock and double sided tape. I’ll need to remove them to use the finished fabric for free quilting patterns/sewing. Thanks
I did not remove the Cardstock. I think if you remove the Cardstock you will lose the embossed pattern on on the fabric. I wonder if you starched your fabric and ran it through with Cardstock (but not adhered to it) you would get the embossed pattern? Unfortunately, I am not super knowledgeable about fabric (I would mostly with paper and mixed media) but perhaps you could research other methods. Thanks for watching!
I used double sided tape to attach the fabric to the cardstock so both sides are used up. You could always attach another layer of double sided tape. Does that make sense?
They look like little puffy quilted fabrics.....fun!
Thanks Jayne and no sewing required 😂
Great ideas! Especially the baby wipes, never thought of that! I haven't had much success with sewing through card, the thinner the better. I would sew on fabric before before I stuck it to card. ❤
That's a great idea! I will try that next time! Thanks for watching 😄

Yolande, great idea. I was in that strip swap and the pink/mauve flower strip was from me. 🤗
Awesome, thank you for the beautiful fabric 💖 I am glad you enjoyed this!
The embossing on the fabric is so pretty - I’ll have to put it on my wish list 😊
Good idea using the baby wipes 👍
Thanks Kristina! I am glad you want to try it! 😄

Cool, thanks for sharing your technique! What kind of glue do you use?
@@devonrex4 just a glue stick. As the embossing helps to meld the fabric and paper together.
Omgosh Devon! They look quilted - really gorgeous! ❤️👏🏻❤️ I love the Stickles too! TFS ❣️😘
Thanks so much Von! 😄
What a great idea!... loved what you did with the used baby wipes and the finished tag was fantastic ... another inspiring video!
Thank you so much for your encouragement Misseke! 💙💙💙

Let me know how it goes with the iron on option! Thanks for watching 😄
Great video! Thank you!
I am glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching😄
I recently saw some needles that are specifically designed to avoid getting gunked up with adhesive when sewing.
Ooooo how interesting! Thank for letting me know! 💙

Fabric and napkins ❤
Thanks Beth, have fun!!!
Thanks for the great idea to use double sticky tape. I saw another crafter use fabric glue but this looks easier and less messy. Also, no drying time is needed.
Thanks for watching! Glad you found it helpful 💖 Have fun!
Really like the bird one!!
That was my favorite one too. Thanks for watching Donna!
Really enjoyed these fabric ideas. I think you could sew the fabric to the paper and skip the taping / glue, the put the sandwich through to emboss. I must try this. Thank you 😊
Great idea Vanessa! Thanks for watching 😄
Very cool, I would probably use heat and bond it's an iron on material if you plan to sew on it , Scor tape will gum up your needle.
Thanks for the tip Zandra! I will look for that 😄
Thank you. Love these.
Thanks for watching, I am glad you enjoyed it!
Love it…. Gonna have to try this.
Awesome! Have fun!
You ‘da boss! Awesome!
🤓😂✌️
cool idea! tfs!
Thanks for watching, I am glad you enjoyed it.
Gorgeous
Thank you very much!
4:50 pm MN. I'm not a junk journalist, but these are great. Definitely going to give a try for cards.
Awesome! Have fun!
Very nice!!

These are awesome i need to find some smaller folfers and stencils
Have fun! Thanks for watching!
I was wondering if you could use those wooden dollar tree cut outs to embosss fabric?
I am not sure how you would do that but I appreciate your creative thinking! Thanks for watching.
I use heat n bond to attach the fabric to the paper. You can easily sew over it.😊
I had another comment about that, I haven’t tried it yet but that is a great idea. Thanks for watching. 😄
Would you be able to use removable adhesive and hat stiffener, and then remove the paper to get unbacked embossed fabric?
That is a very good question. I am not sure but please let me know how it goes if you try it. Thanks for watching!
Wow❤️
Thanks so much for watching! 🤓
Is that a new embossing folder from Stampin’ Up!?
Probably not, this video is from 2021. Which one were you asking about and I can check the name of it and see if it is still available?
What happen if you use cornstarch in the fabric and you emboss it
Not sure, if you try it, please let me know! Thanks for watching 😃
What happen if you use more than one embossing folder?
Good question… could be interesting to try 😄
I think is nice to do wallets
Cool idea 👍
As these are on double sided tape couldn't you take the backing off and attach it to a card?
I used double sided tape to attach the fabric to the cardstock so both sides are used up. You could always attach another layer of double sided tape. Does that make sense?
@@devonrex4 Sorry didn't realise that you embossed the cardstock too :)
Volume too low
Thanks for the feedback, I have worked to improve this on my more recent videos.
